Location was great.<br/><br/>Cleanliness wasn't great.<br/>Towels were dirty.<br/>Bathroom needed cleaning.<br/>Couch was filthy.<br/>Hallways leading up to the room was very dirty.

Location good for town centre. Railway station nearby for cheap parking. Apartment was well equipped with 2 double beds.<br/><br/>On arrival chips (as in the food type) and found on nest of tables in the living area. Underside of dishes/plates dirty. Few stains on bed cushions. Holes in bed linen. If contractors are being used then maybe a quiet word is needed.

The location was good and the apartment overall were nice<br/><br/>The toaster didn’t work, the shower head weren’t working, mould in the cupboards which was then found on plates and the wifi was absolutely terrible.

Aldi across the rd and witherspoon round the corner.<br/><br/>No parking so we had to pay an extra £10 a day to leave the car elsewhere and walk to the accommodation. <br/>No reply to emails during our stay. <br/>Dirty communal area and bathroom very grubby. White shower curtain has turned orange. <br/>No essential items such as washing up liquid, cling film etc. One towel for the duration of stay. 3 flights of steep stairs to climb, so beware if disabled.

Das Apartment war angenehm groß und ruhig gelegen.<br/><br/>Das Bett war sehr weich und für uns unbequem und die restliche Einrichtung war auch leider nicht sonderlich gemütlich. Die Eingangstür zum Gebäude war fast konstant offen da sie nicht automatisch schließt. Das ist vor allem unangenehm da die Wohnung in einer relativ dunklen Seitenstraße liegt.

Wasn't exceptionally clean. The kitchen and bathroom were dirty and the floors hadn't been hoovered. Had to clean the bath before use as it was filthy and had hair in it. Quite a lot of sitting dust on skirtings.<br/>Could do with being deep cleaned.

All good, it's a very nice flat, with everything you need for a holiday stay.<br/><br/>Stairs to the flat and up into the second bedroom are really steep and narrow. We were ok, but it's not suitable for people with mobility issues.

location, proximity to high street and beaches, spacious bedrooms, comfortable beds.<br/><br/>The property wasn’t cleaned properly. The toilet rim was dirty, the carpet wasn’t cleaned and hoovered. We kept finding garbage under the sofa, on the carpet and other places around. There’s black mould around the bathtub. Dining table is far away from the kitchen (it’s near the bathroom) and have to cross the entire living room. The blinds were broken in one of the bedrooms. Top 3rd floor, narrow staircase and almost none existing landing area. It’s the same managing company that let Old Cottage in Whitby, which we loved. So we were quite shocked to find this apartment in Scarborough in such a poor condition.

We would have liked more hand towels. The kitchen only had the very basics. The cups and some of the cutlery were dirty and the toaster did not work. On the plus side the bed was lovely but we were surprised there wasn’t a mattress protector on it, it was already getting stained and I would have thought that would have been a priority on such a good bed.

The location was soo handy,right near the train station and town and an Aldi just 5 minutes walk,I loved the lay out of the property and how their was an attic room with a sky light, I loved where the bathroom was and how it was downstairs,the sofabed was great too. How it had everything I needed and the decorations etc.<br/><br/>The water was too hot!! And out the back it looks dirty and smelt but I didn’t look out or smell it so didn’t cause any problem and very minor detail,

Es war sehr dunkel - durch den Sichtschutz in den Fenstern konnte man kaum nach draußen sehen (wir konnten nicht erkennen, ob es regnet oder nicht!) - der Lamellenvorhang schmutzig (lieber nicht bewegen!). Tassen klebten, Besteck war dreckig.

Liked the fact had 2 bedrooms and it was in central location. It was clean and had everything for a self catering break.<br/><br/>The stairs to it were a bit steep. There was no where in the bathroom to hang your towels to dry or while you were having a shower. There was no where close to park the car. Although the bed in the main room was large it was made up of two mattresses so there was a lump in the middle

There was an incredible amount of flies in the property. I reported this to the host who promised to get rid of them. Whilst I was out someone had been round but done an inadequate job as there were still many flies. I purchased fly spray and did the job myself which is not really fair considering what I paid for 2 days. I asked the host to provide a cleaner to sweep up the many dead flies, no one turned up despite promises. Whilst the host has apologised many times this really is not at all a satisfactory way to deal with complaints. At the very least I should be offered a decent compensation for the inconvenience caused. The property itself was in good order.

Good information pack given<br/><br/>Watch out for hidden extras in the price. <br/>I had to pay refundable £250 damage waiver which I knew about before booking. Once I booked was given the option of the £250 or a non refundable £25 as a damage insurance. I thought this was a scam as I have holiday insurance<br/>I was then told I would be charged £10 service charge. When I contacted customer service I was dealt with by numerous people one of which promised me a refund, one said I was lying and a third refused to refund it. <br/>I have still not received a refund of the £250 damage waiver.

Great location - 10 min walk from south shore.<br/><br/>The smell…. After much searching found a milk spillage under the sink. Apparently apartment had been cleaned for our arrival, but how the cleaner did not smell an issue I don’t know. It stunk! Cleaned best we could but smell lingered.

It was really bad....on further inspection we could see spilt milk under the fridge...NEEDS CLEANING PROPERLY !!<br/>Would also suggest new fridge as can't store anything in the door - all shelves broken.<br/>Bathroom was OK but could maybe do with an upgrade....

It was bright in the bedrooms. It was not too far from the beach and amenities. It had all the basic utensils and utilities.<br/><br/>The lounge was dark and cluttered. The shower was poor. It did not feel especially clean. It was in a back street which seemed very sinister and unwelcoming.

The location was really good right at the top of the high street and very near the train station. Once in the property it was comfortable and the beds were nice too.<br/><br/>If you have any kind of mobility issues do not stay here it's up 3.5 sets of stairs and there steep steps too. The shower also is absolutely awful worst shower I've ever used I struggled to get the soap out my hair when I'd washed it. It's situated on an ally way which isn't nice rubbish, dog poo, and some very undesirable people. I was a mum with two girls traveling on my own and I'd not have walked down it in the dark so had to be in before dark. It's also next to a pub, right next to the pub and there was a fight with alot of swearing etc and my youngest child is 8! Not what I want her hearing .

the apartment was beautifully furnished and clean.The bed was extremely comfortable and I was impressed with the quality of the bedding and towels left for us.The kitchen was well equipped basically a home from home.I also loved how close to everything the apartment was in regards to the beach etc.It’s a straight 10-15 min walk straight through town to the sea front and a 2 min walk to the train station where you can catch buses frequently to get to places like Whitby,Bridlington etc and they are cheap to ride to so perfect for days out.Also close to Aldi,one stops and takeaways.I loved that a folder was left with all the information about buses and local tourist spots.<br/><br/>My only gripe is the kitchen and bathroom light been on the same switch but nothing that hindered the holiday

The decor and it was in town.<br/><br/>Next door to a pub and located on a busy alley/ walk through.<br/>View was the front of maisonettes.<br/>The fridge was smelly and had rotten veg from previous occupants.<br/>No change of bedding linen, even when I asked domestic/ housekeeper.<br/>He informed me that he would bring some at the agreed time of 5 pm on Friday 7th. Never showed up.<br/><br/>it's just the little things that can put a dampener on doing a return visit.

I liked that it was local to everything we needed. We had a beach 5 minutes away from us, which was really handy as I love a beach. The apartment is comfy and lovely.<br/><br/>I didn't like the fact that the boiler went, we had no hot water for 1 day. Also I'd recommend putting a washing machine in the apartments. For longer stays a washing machine is a must.

It was clean.<br/><br/>The room we were given did not match the advertised room and pictures. It was smelly and cramped with mismatched furniture. You couldn't use the kitchen unless you shut the door as the stove and fridge were behind the door. There was a steep, narrow staircase to the second bedroom that we knew nothing about from our communication with the company, despite the fact they knew we had mobility issues. We were aware the unit was on the third floor but could manage that once a day. Can you imagine going to the bathroom, which was through the sitting room and through the dining room, during the night? You'd be awake from putting all those lights on!

The beds were vprtb really comfy a d the towels and linen were of a very high standard<br/><br/>The numbers on the intercoms didn't match up so I disturbed a poor stranger. The intercom buzzer didn't work so my brother had to descend the 3 flights Io let me in. The living room whilst looking nice was not comfortable in the slightest and was really dark due to no natural. Light as the dining room window was diffused, the stairs were really steep. And rbe outer door opened onto the stairs.

We had to ask for a re clean but it was very poorly done. Please get cleaners who actually care as after reading the reviews, this is a constant problem.

Self catering. Close to shops, cafes, takeaways and restaurants. Beach was around 10 mins walk. The bed was very comfortable and felt like a Queen size.<br/><br/>In the photographs, on Booking.com, it did not show that a pub was immediately attached to the house. Just felt slightly uncomfortable when returning in the evening due to the volume of the pub customers (but that's just a personal opinion).

Very easy once we'd been sent the code<br/><br/>Different window dressing would be better for privacy, rather than blocking out with strips of masking tape. Made flat gloomy. The Windows at the back needed cleaning as they were covered in pigeon poo as was the back wall which was the only view from our back window,. There was rubbish which needed removing from yard at back as it attracted flies into the flats which we was not good as we were asked to open windows (only two did actually open)in order to ventilate the flat. The area outside was scruffy and often had bin bags of rubbish left out which were ripped open by birds and once saw a rat there.

It was a 20 walk to the music concert at the open air theatre <br/>It was two minute walk for going to the theatre to watch a play, two minute walk to a craft beer pub with live music <br/>A 20 minute walk to the seafront entertainment <br/>5 minute walk to Aldi for supplies <br/>Parking on Victoria street a two minute walk away and inexpensive. I would recommend using the RingGo app so you don't have to go to your car as you only buy 6 hours at a time and most car parks in the Scarborough and Filey area use this app.<br/><br/>The pub next door was down market, we didn't have any trouble aside from some noise which didn't bother us but the customers on the street outside the front gate might seem intimidating to some people especially lone female travellers I would imagine. I wouldn't let it put you off though.

our stay was good <br/>centeral only downside was no parking.<br/><br/>with the greatest of respect a bit more detailed cleaning ie mirrors and little things wouldn’t go a miss.<br/>razor light didn’t work needs chain on bath plug.<br/>these are things I would suggest needs attention when general maintenance is done as I wouldn’t suggest sending maintenance out specially as this would cost too much.

The location was great, really central with restaurants and the town centre minutes away. We parked at the train station which had plenty of space, was very cheap and a 2 minute walk to the apartment. The beach was also very close by - only a ten minute stroll away. The apartment was really lovely - clean and tidy with everything you could need. The bed was huge with clean, fresh white bedding. Real luxury and so comfortable - the best night’s sleep I’ve had in ages. I loved the dressing room by the side of the bedroom - somewhere to get ready in the evening. It had a lovely, modern kitchen with all you could need, including coffee for the morning. It was well decorated throughout and everything looked new and fresh. We loved our stay and will definitely be booking again.

Beautiful property, with beautiful decor. In a prime location only a stones through away from the train station which was perfect for us. The property had the perfect amount of amenities Smart tv being a great touch. We felt very much at home with a very comfy layout ideal for couples weekends as it’s so central. Definitely a place we would revisit happily and recommend to others. X

Location was good, close to town centre, and beach/sea. Lovely apartment, very clean tidy and comfortable.<br/><br/>When we arrived at 3.35pm which was after booking time of 3pm the cleaner was still there cleaning room so we had to go away and come back half hour later, which wasn't ideal. There was a dead pigeon in the yard, which we could see from the kitchen window. And the rug corners were curled over so we kept tripping over them

The apartment on the whole was perfect. Great facilities, well decorated, comfy beds. The kitchen has everything you need to prepare a meal and the owners are very friendly and courteous.<br/><br/>The bedroom shutters didn't really keep the sunlight out which made it a little difficult to sleep. Also, it would be nice if it was dog friendly.

The layout of the property.<br/><br/>Having to phone because the toilet wouldn't flush. To be fair though they sorted it asap so thanks for that! ? <br/>Also, no parking, a shame you can't get some kind of permit for the parking spaces directly opposite the flat!

The location was great! A couple of minutes walk from the train station and Wetherspoons just around the corner :-) close to an Aldi and other pubs and shops. The beds were very comfortable with lovely crisp white bedding on and the living room was very cosy with throws to put over yourself while watching tv at night. We will stay here again<br/><br/>The stairs to the apartment were a big disappointment because I wasn’t aware we had to go up 4 flights to get to the apartment we had booked but once in the apartment we was more than happy

The location was very good to reach all the attractions but I did not like the situation of the apartment. Very scruffy area.<br/><br/>I like Scarborough itself but unfortunately it is some of the locals that spoil it.

The beds were so comfortable and we liked the fact the hosts had thought of everything. The kitchen had everything and we loved our morning coffee with the coffee machine! We travelled down to York Christmas market for the day so the location was perfect! (2 minute walk) <br/>The flats were located in a great location and there was lots of Christmas decorations which was a lovely touch! <br/>There are some lovely cafes and bars in Scarborough and something for everyone! <br/>Have already recommended ocean wave to friends and will definitely be back. property was in a perfect location, a 2 min to the town centre a 10 minute walk from the beach and a 2 min walk from an Aldi for bits and pieces we needed to pick up for the weekend. <br/><br/>property was lovely and clean with there being coffee pods and tea bags already there when we arrived which I thought was a nice touch. <br/><br/>perfect for a nice few days away as flat is pretty big so you don’t feel cramped into a small space.

Location was fine<br/><br/>Water was haphazard..hot and then cold when showering<br/>Glass table top was loose and needing moving to sit at table...it all came apart which had then to be held by 2 adults to support back on plinth ..could have been really dangerous <br/>The bin stank<br/>The towels were old and smelt of tobacco smoke <br/>The apartment was top flat up 3 flights of fairly narrow stairs and lights were not working ..we had to use torch to see our way<br/>On last day when we checked drawers to make sure we hadn't left anything there were several pairs of underwear in bedroom drawer <br/>If this is an example of covid compliance it appears that this was lacking as obviously place not cleaned as underwear would have been noticed <br/>If we'd seen this when we first arrived we would have not stayed and demanded a refund as this is particularly disgusting and has been the last straw as we were already disappointed

Great little place. First impressions when you find it are that it isn’t in the prettiest of places. However, the fact it is just off the main town (easy short walk) actually means it’s lovely and quiet. Facilities are perfect. Everything you could need. Lovely and clean. Easy check in and out. Massive and incredibly comfortable bed with crisp white bedding felt really luxurious. Top hotel standard. Clean bathroom. Essentials all provided. Can recommend. Had a lovely three day stay.

Great place to stay in Whitby. ‘Stay’ places are always at a good standard and well equipped.

Great central location. Living area looks deceiving bigger in photos. Still very comfortable for a few days stay. Parking at train station was only a 5 walk away and wasn't much money for the few days either. Thanks for a lovely stay!

Very bad customer service!<br/>We was charged extra £40 for cleaning service! (Should be included like all other places,never happened to me before) and then when me and my partner arrived in place we tried to refresh our self and enjoy rest of our evening but we couldn’t because in room we didn’t have towels,soap or and worst bedsheets!!!<br/>We was waiting outside 3h for someone to clean place and put fresh towels,bedsheet itc <br/>Is a joke because day before someone explain to us that £40 is for service!<br/>And that’s not the end of this because day before we was planning to check out I get the message with instructions how to clean place before we leave!<br/>Not recommend!<br/>I will never go back there again!
