superb place we was on the 2nd floor unfortunately the people upstairs was a bit noisy bouncing around yet maybe our children was the same to the people below us lovely place right in the middle of town perfect location just a shame the price has doubled otherwise we would be back next year

Great flat. In the centre of town. Can see the sea from the table. Nice beds and a super shower.

Very spacious, fun roof though not the weather to make use of it. Almost everything you could need and responsive staff. Wish we'd had more time to spend there but had to visit family. Just a little washing up liquid and kitchen paper would have been the cherry on top and encourage people to clean aswell.Found a chipped glass that could've been dangerous but caught daughter and stopped her using it phew Pillows and bed wasn't great I couldn't sleep. The shower is spectacular but took a while to suss it out.

Accommodation was good, there were just 2 of us, so it was comfortable. Location was good. We would not have been comfortable for sitting and eating if there were 4 of us, that it claimed to account, there is enough space but not seating for all to be comfortable. The cleanliness was okish, it could do with attention to detail and mirrors and the shower screen cleaning, there was a lot of dust and fluff under fittings, on skirting boards etc.

Beautiful luxurious apartment, well organised information and key access prior to visit with excellent digital guide book provided prior to arrival. Unfortunately the stay was spoilt by poor maintenance of the property. Shower was jammed on scalding hot so none of us could wash during our stay. Kitchen tap wobbly. Fire door to unvented boiler unable to shut or secure due to not being fitted properly. Not a problem with my older children but would be a safety concern with younger children. Toilet roll holder loose on wall. Dust on skirting boards throughout. Shower area not cleaned properly. No washing up liquid for pots.

Very nice apartment Cleaners could have do a better job. We moved a bean bag and found loads of dust, tea towels were dirty and the freezer department in fridge was packed solid with ice. Very stylish place and right in the middle of everything. Only thing that let it down for us was the parking, was hard work getting all our stuff in with 2 kids and that we could only check in at 4! Not ideal when you have a baby that needs feeding and wants a nap! Paying £150 night I’d expect to be able to check in earlier then 4! We did ask for early check in but that wasn’t available. Over all we enjoyed our stay but these little things would of made it easier for us to

The location is ideal. On arrival we noticed the electric hob wasn’t working in the kitchen. We called and arranged someone from the maintenance team to come out and have a look. They eventually arrived and confirmed it was broken and needed completely replacing. We were told we would be contacted in the morning and should be offered somewhere else to stay instead as we had no cooking facilities and had small children. No one contacted us. We had to contact them and they kept saying we will get back to you but never did. Nothing was done about this and we ended up spending a fortune on eating out every day. We had brought food to cook whilst there which also went to waste. The holiday ended two weeks ago and we’re still awaiting a response from them.

Shower Beware?? beware?? never again!!! Once you book a room from them, they will ask you to pay for a 250 deposit before your stay, which is fine, thats no problem. But on top of the deposit money, which is the 250, you are obliged to pay 25 pounds for choosing to pay the deposit. This 25 pounds is non refundable. So that's 275 pounds already. The agreement was that they would refund the 250 back to your account 14 days after you checked out. It took them 20 days to return the money in my account that i have to send them messages to follow it up. Now, this is a real scam. They returned the money eventually, but they deducted 10 pounds. How come? It's not in the agreement that i have to pay 10 pounds to be refunded. I was expecting a full refund. I will never stay here again. A company like this should be banned. People are struggling enough to save money so they can take the family away. But this company is taking the piss.

Very clean and modern Nothing

The location was excellent, 2 minutes from the beach. I liked the layout of the apartment, and the roof terrace was a nice bonus too. It provided myself and my 2 grandchildren plenty of space relax in. Mostly it was something that couldn't be controlled. The building opposite is a nesting place for seagulls, and I found out they are very active vocally at night time too! A lack of cutlery wasn't too much of an issue as I never intended to eat in anyway but could be a problem otherwise. I found out I shouldn't buy a Dyson cordless vacuum too, they are rubbish.

Clean, modern and close to the beach Very noisy. Constant noise from the seagulls. Didn’t get much sleep at night mainly from the noise seagulls but also busy road.

Very modern and stylish we loved the layout. So clean and tidy. Couldn’t figure out the coffee machine lol

The terrace. The space. The shower is amazing. Only the constant noise of seagulls ( nothing to do with the property & obviously on the front so going to get them). The main bedroom needs to have curtains that block out the light in the mornings. They have rollers that match each window so look good and work for the room but let’s light in on the sides.

Great location with car park close by. The apartment is clean, tidy and is has a nice modern decor which combines comfort with style. There is plenty of room for 4 adults with all the amenities you need. The kitchen although small is well laid out, the lounge has plenty of room as does the bathroom and main bedroom with plenty of storage space. The roof terrace is great in warm sunny weather. Unfortunately there was a fair bit of noise from traffic even early in the morning (bin wagons)

The accommodation was perfect, spotlessly clean and had everything we could need for a week by the sea. Great location to walk down to the beach and into town. Would highly recommend staying in this apartment if you’re visiting Scarborough.

The seagulls roosting outside. We understand it is a seaside town but there were at least 15-20 nesting seagulls outside the property which made it rather noisy first thing in the morning.

finished to a very high standard, perfect location, good parking. the roof terrace was lovely, we was there for armed forces weekend so didn’t have to find a good spot to watch we just sat in the sun on the roof the noise, hundred, maybe thousands of seagulls outside making a racket all day and night, road noise, bin men emptying the bins every morning across the road. i recommended anyone staying to bring some ear plugs

We've always stayed in a hotel before, but after a taste of apartment living there'll be no going back, absolutely loved it, it felt so relaxed Can't fault the actual apartment, but the seagulls are a pain in the backside, but what's to expect at the seaside

Good location Check in far too late with 2 small children as nowhere to leave bags , had to park car a mile away due to busy weekend and no availability for parking close by , check out far too early , basically paying a days stay when you can’t access the property

the key safes are by the door, add the code wave the fob over the sensor, that gets you inside then use the key for your allocated room seagulls were loud but would stop here again for sure

A lovely place in a great location. The apartment is really well fitted. Only 3 of us stayed - maybe bit too cosy for 4 (small settee, small table). The top terrace is brilliant. We enjoyed fish & chips from over the road and it was great, especially the scraps! Seagulls are a bit loud!!

Lovely time had by all the family. Literally have the beach on ur doorstep.. The location is idyllic, looking out into the harbour. The only downside is that there is no parking on site as stated in the description. Local car parks are chargeable between the hrs of 9am & 6pm.

Stayed here before and location is fantastic Wish both rooms had double beds but not a big problem and wouldn’t put me off staying as both times we’ve stayed it was 2 couples .

Fantastic apartment, great quality everything, really lovely (fabulous bathroom) loved the roof top garden. Lovely sea views in the heart of the beach front. Only very minor negatives were the hidden costs, cleaning, parking and insurance. Although reasonable it would have helped knowing these up front.

We've stayed here before but on a lower floor so we knew what to expect. It's a lovely apartment in a great location ? The stairs !!!lol. Last year we'd stayed on the first floor so it wasn't too bad but the stairs are tiring when you are carrying in bags. But it wouldn't put us off staying again but on the first floor and the roof Terrace is worth the stair climb.

Everything was great ? It was fab….. but just to let you know that the toilet and shower trim weren’t very clean.

The apartment and the facilities. The location is brilliant. The fridge was wet as the freezer was dripping. It was frozen solid, and the door would not close.

Gorgeous apartment perfect location Nothing

A Grand Designs apartment close to the Old Town promenade. Arrival information told us where to find the key but failed to explain that the key fob was electronic and opened the entrance door. The apartment, designed for four guests, was almost totally impractical. The only table was a round "cafe"piece barely large enough for one let alone four. Only three dining chairs were provided. Comfort seating was limited to a large two-seat sofa and a bean bag. There were no chairs in the bedrooms, nor was there any clothes storage other than a hanging rail with small shelves. Thus our stay necessitated living out or our cases for a week. The floor was covered with sand and no suitable brush was provided - thus sandy beds. The Dyson provided was good but is almost useless on wooden floors. The kitchen facilities were good but the essentials, washing-up liquid, kitchen roll and toilet paper etc the cheapest available. No surface cleaning liquids were provided. An expensive property which I would not recommend.

Location, views, decor, ease of check in, value for money, roof terrace I didn’t know until closer to my stay that we were on the 3rd floor & the stairs are quite steep to carry up a suitcase. The shower head needed cleaning. Only 1 red/white wine glass & there was 4 of us.

The flat was spacious, and comfortable, with all the mod cons. (Though minus a microwave, which I found quite odd) The flat is in the most amazing location. Two seconds and you are on the beach, and a small walk up the hill to the main shopping area and city centre. It was quiet (apart from the seagulls, but hey, it is next to the sea haha) and kept the warmth of the day throughout the night. Shower was incredible and the beds were super comfortable. The outside roof top terrace was great, and a very comfortable sunbathing point. As I mentioned there was not a microwave, which I found odd. There also wasn't a washing machine, which for us wasn't a problem, but if you had a young family then you might struggle if you needed to a wash.

Nice, modern apartment, very well located for the sea front. Living room is spacious, well equipped kitchen and fabulous shower. Outside noise can be excessive due to the proximity of pubs/bars. Living room lacks a lamp and seating for 4 people to comfortably use.

In an excellent location - you couldn’t get more central in Scarborough. Easy to park nearby. The property was clean, stylish, well-maintained and comfortable. There was plenty of room and everything worked well. Checking in and out was easy. We enjoyed the sea views, especially from the rooftop terrace. Being central meant it was noisy in the morning (very early) with bin lorries, street cleaning etc. The dining table was too small for 4 (ok for three) and the living room needs softer lighting (lamps). Needs more coat hangers too.

The apartment is lovely in itself but the location makes it perfect and then add the roof terrace, we will be definitely coming back

The appartment was very big, modern and comfy, great outlook and nice touch with the roof terrace on nice days. Cleaning of the kitchen could have been a little more thorough, as some glasses and cups were dirty and there was a used scourer smelling on the side.

it was very clean and modern , great location the only negative was that we couldn’t get the tv to come on in the lounge at first, after a quick call to the host , a maintenance person was to call in the following morning , but we managed to get it working by switching it on with a power button underneath the tv, the remote wouldn’t switch it on at all !! . Also there was only 1 teaspoon in the kitchen !

Beautiful apartment, very spacious, bright and modern. Great position - close to the beach and other amenities. Street noise was awful. Cars / motor bikes flying up and down the main strip at silly o’clock in the morning. Few basic items were missing like dinner plates, oven gloves, kitchen bin was broken

The Flat itself should have been great. Nice furniture, good amenities, great location, but Host & Stay's horrific management ruined our holiday. Room was not cleaned when we arrived, the whole place needs a serious deep clean. Black Mold growth in the shower head, stains all over the walls and floors. Not to mention when we arrived there was a bag of dirty laundry in the middle of the hallway, stained sheets, and old toothpaste on the sink. Host & Stay did send someone from their cleaning team to fix the issue the day after check in and she was very helpful and nice. However the host& stay employees were not helpful. Even after sending photos they lied claiming the sheets were new and bathroom was cleaned. They also then threatened us that if we found somewhere else to stay until their cleaner could fix the issue the following day, it would "not go well for us" in getting a partial refund. WiFi also did not have password protection, and host & stay would not fix this for us.

The beach and town being easily in walking distance is great. The layout and design of the property is lovely and you definitely get your steps in being on the 3rd floor ?

Lovely modern apartment in great, bustling part of Scarborough, everything is literally on your doorstep. The place was modern and clean. It did miss some of the personal touches that can make a place feel welcoming on arrival however (including no batteries in the tv remote and no handsoap in the bathroom) but overall it was a really nice place to stay. There is also a hidden drawer in the kitchen with all the cutlery in which we were unaware of, which created an element of panic on the first night having made dinner! The lovely locals were able to advise us of the infamous hidden drawer though thankfully.

The apartment was in a fantastic location, so close to the beach. Fantastic facilities with everything needed for a break away. Parking very close and only had to pay 9 until 6. Will definitely be back. The property could do with another comfy chair in the living room. A bit more attention to cleaning as hall was very dusty under shoe rack, freezer section was full of ice. Small bedroom radiator although warm didn’t seem to get hot. The noise from outside is to be expected but maybe a secondary glazing would dampen the noise for guests.

Beautiful property, very modern and contained everything we needed for a weekend stay. We were on the top floor apartment and the view was amazing. The beds were really comfortable too. A good sized apartment for a group of four (me, mum, aunt & friend), we have a trip to Scarborough every year and this is one of the nicest places we have stayed. As we were on the top floor there were a lot of stairs & no lift. However, we had been made aware of this before booking so we knew to expect this. It wouldn’t put me off staying again but it was the only downside to an otherwise perfect place

I liked the location, it was clean and the beds were comfortable. the shower was spacious and the whole apartment was decorated well. the living room doesn’t have enough comfy seats for 4 people. the dining table isn’t big enough for 4 people and it only has 3 chairs. the radiator in the bedrooms do work but they don’t get very warm. the spot lighting in the living room is far too bright, it needs a lamp. Its a noisy road outside if it were triple glazed this would help. A rug in the living room might help with the echoing and make it cozy.

I think the explanation of how to use the key fob for door entry could have been better, to alert us that the key is for the door to the apartment and fob is for front door entry it could be better explained. Was stood for at least 5 mins or more trying the key in the door until saw the fob area and sorted it out.

Beautiful apartment in a set of 3. We were apt 3, the top floor. All rooms have a sea view and in my opinion the location is excellent, right by the front and just a short walk to the town centre. Everything you'd need was there, decor was gorgeous, really luxury finish. There was also a fabulous roof terrace. We travelled with our 2 small children ages 5 and 2. The apartments have steps down to the kitchen and down into bedroom 2. For our children they were fine, and there's something to hold onto. You should bear this in mind though if travelling with kids. N/A

Great location near the habour and easy to get to all the attractions. Lovely and clean and communication with owner was immediate too when we couldn't find any cutlary. Would definately come and stay again

Great location, spotlessly clean, awesome little roof terrace, perfect for a family break. Not the property’s fault, but neighbouring buildings covered with nesting seagulls which wake at the crack of dawn. Take earplugs ?

Accommodation beautifully furnished and spotlessly clean. Shower was exceptional! Tea coffee milk was available on arrival, which was very welcome after a long train journey! Located in an excellent spot close to the beach and shops, but was not noisy at night. It’s only a suggestion, but another comfy chair in the living room would have been appreciated.

Excellent, central location with a public car park opposite. Very modern decor and finishes. Good size lounge with views of the harbour. The roof terrace was a great feature. Fantastic bathroom and easy to use 'state of the art' shower. Despite the fact it had been cleaned the attention to detail was missing. Floors not 'hoovered' properly, glass surfaces not cleaned. A couple of desk/pedestal fans would of been appreciated.

Apartment is very nice. Positives are: Well furnished, very clean, very modern, amazing shower, perfectly located for access to the sea front. Rooftop terrace is pretty cool. TV is very modern. Induction hob is also very good. Negatives are: Single beds are too narrow and too tall. Was worried about the kids in them. No dishwasher. No microwave. No cutlery. Seagulls nesting just next to the living room window and are quite noisy. Location means that it's fairly noisy outside and not very well sound insulated. Car park over the road is extremely convenient but only really suitable for small cars. All in all, a very nice play to stay, positives outweigh the negatives and would recommend!

Modern, clean and welcoming and a very convenient location. Cutlery had water marks where not dried properly and the freezer box in the fridge was full of ice and needed defrosting. These are by no means deal breakers, but make a difference between our score of 9 and getting a perfect 10. Will definitely book again for next year.

absolutely brilliant flat, exceptionally clean, well laid out and a really nice up to date interior, no expense spared, hall way/staircase very clean, a well maintained and professional looking holiday flat cant fault the flat one single bit……………10/10 could have had a washing machine but there’s plenty of laundry places within walking distance

There property was very close to the beach and marina and it had a car park right opposite. Really nice looking from outside and lovely on the inside. It was secure with key and fob access so felt safe. The overall layout of apartment was lovely. Had a great rain shower in the bathroom, possibly one of my favourite things about the apartment. TV had YouTube and Netflix, good to keep kids entertained in the evening. Little touches like a stool in the bathroom for little ones to reach the sink was nice. Loved there was someone you could message at anytime and they would get back to you quickly. The cleanliness of the kitchen cutlery and dishes wasn’t great and I had to wash them before use. The kettle had a lot of limescale built up inside that put me off using it. The hairdryer had lots of dust on it, I presume it had not been used in some time hence the dust. Not a major deal but for the money paid would expect there to be better cleaning between guests. This is the only thing that let this property down - if cleanliness has been better I would have given this property 10/10 (note to owners) would put pictures up but it would not do property justice as it was a good property. Would still recommend and would stay there again - hope owners take feedback onboard.

Stayed in Apartment No.1 Berkano. The apartment was exceptionally clean, bright and nicely laid out. The beds very comfortable and location is perfect. The only minor gripe is that there is a lot of noise from the street early in the morning, however given the location this is to be expected and there's not much that can be done about this.

clean nice furniture and fixtures great location and the terrace was a great place to sit and relax nothing I would suggest more seating on the terrace we were the only people up there but wouldn’t have been space if the other flats were using it. there is plenty of space for more seating

spacious, views, comfort, near to everything no lamps in the lounge, only ceiling lights which were too bright at night. A lamp would make all the difference. Parking very expensive at £9 per day. Would be good if a permit was included. Very noisy seagulls even at night. Definitely need earplugs

well situated and handy for our weekend activities had to have windows open and lots of street noise, would benefit from air con. wrong pin no. given for key box and magnetic fob not explained on instructions as we felt chumps having to ring customer service and they didn’t know either!! we were not the only ones to have that problem either

location brilliant close to beach town centre .Clean spacious appartment. we couldn’t get the cooker top to work .plus kitchen cupboards really high to reach top shelve.We had someone with us who was tall otherwise we wouldn’t have been able to reach.

Unable to get access upon arrival as someone had deadlocked the door and it took an hour of waiting in the street with 2 children before someone arrived to allow us access. We were not offered any compensation for this. With 2 children under 3, we had to move the sofa to allow us our boys to play a little and obstruct the steps leading down to the kitchen. Once we moved the sofa, we could see absolutely loads of dirt, including beer bottle caps, sweets and general dirt which had been swept/left under the sofa. For the price we paid, we would have expected it to be spotless. Thankfully someone came the day after to re clean the floor but we were only staying for 2 nights and for one of them, it was unfortunately dirty. The shower leaked, so we had to use our towels to mop the water up in the floor. I fit bathrooms for a living and the bottom of the shower enclosures just were adequately sealed, it’d take 2/3 mins for the right person to do this properly. Again, just not what you expect when you’re paying £150+ per night and your children can’t walk in or around the bathroom because of water leaking out of the shower. The fridge door didn’t shut properly either, the door was poorly fitted meaning that you thought you’d closed it but unless you gave it an extra nudge, the freezer section started to defrost. Just really disappointed and no effort made to help, especially by the ladies on the phone, one of which was rude because I hadn’t given them longer than 20 minutes to call me back with a resolutions about access - neglecting to consider I’m stood by a main road, in 28°C heat, with 2 small children. The location was amazing, parking was perfect, we were very happy to have apartment 1, the outdoor area on the roof was lovely with amazing views. The apartment itself was very modern. The bins were not emptied on our arrival and some of the plates and glasses were not clean (marks and food stains). the green blanket on the bed was also dirty.

Lovely apartment, very spacious, clean and comfortable. Only negative was the Neon sign on the exterior of the building, it was very bright and therefore brought alot of light into the bedroom, the light was on a timer and turned off around midnight, would like it to have been earlier.

Three of us stayed in Othala over the Bank Holiday weekend. The property was immaculately clean and right on the doorstep to everything. All mod cons and very comfy beds. If you are booking because you are a smoker due to the property having a roof terrace this may not be the property for you as there were no smoking signs up there which were not visible on the photos online. Also if there were four of us we would not be able to all sit together to eat as there are only three dining chairs. Could have done with instructions on how to work the microwave as it was part of the oven but eventually we figured it out. Apart from that I cannot fault the place and we will be returning

Lovely apartment, nice and clean, wish we could of stayed longer, would definitely go back. Struggled to get hot water sometimes, could have done with some information on how to use the oven and hob, i thought there was no microwave at first but there was a setting on the grill for the microwave, couldn't work out how to use the hob though. Remote in bedroom didn't work, might need new batteries. The door for the boiler didn't shut and when you have young kids with you it's not really a place you want your kids opening.

Location was amazing, couldn't fault anything with the apartment. The living room was very cosy with a large TV and everybody loved the shower ? The cost when I have looked for July/August ?

Very nicely decorated, fabulous shower. Great location. Just could do with a bit more information about the place before booking. We booked based on the pictures and the nice roof terrace but weren’t told it was a no smoking outdoor area. Would have been nice to have a drink and not have to go down 4 floors to stand on the street. Also is it really necessary to have CCTC out there? Privacy? Overall it was ok but we wouldn’t stay again as it was quite expensive and didn’t meet our needs

The apartment is fab! Super clean, really good size for the two of us (and would've been good for two children too). Great sized bathroom and lounge. Really benefits from the roof terrace - a great place for breakfast in the sunshine, and drinks at the sun goes down. We found it easy to park in the car park opposite - free after six, and was generally pretty empty after this time when we visited in March - might be more tricky during the summer. Would definitely stay again if we were up in Scarborough.

Location was good, very spacious apartment, very modern property. Beds comfy, shower excellent. Good Tv with good choice of channels. No microwave, bedside light in second bedroom was broken (working but broken). We requested an early check in but was told this wasn’t available (turned up and tried at 2pm and key was available so got in) this was disappointing as had luggage we needed to drop off, feel host could’ve made more effort to accommodate this. Asked for cot and high chair and these were left in wrong apartment so I had to retrieve them myself. Again pretty poor service. Think the hosting via email lacks a personal touch. Found I was bombarded with emails and not enough attention to detail and service was given. Tried calling a few times and not sure what hours are worked but found it difficult to be able to speak to someone who could actually help. Not sure id use someone so “hands off” in future

The property is quite close to the beach which is quite convenient for someone like me who is travelling. The heater takes a bit of time to work properly since the apartment is pretty big.

Unfortunately I cannot comment on or recommend the facilities provided as we did not check in. My partner tested positive for covid the day before we were due to arrive. The host would not provide any refund or allow us to change our dates. We lost the total cost of our stay.

Overall had a lovely time with stay , however there are a few things the apartment is missing probably due to it being new for example there was no cutlery in our apartment and very few cooking utensils so we were not able to make a proper meal during our stay. I believe the lounge would benefit from a lamp as there is only the very bright lights on an evening. Also the booking did not say weather the roof terrace was shared or private so we were unsure on arrival. Apart from this, we had a nice time, great location

We had a lovely stay in the apartment. We loved looking out to the harbour every morning and watching the boats come in. The location for exploring Scarborough and the local area was perfect. The apartment was spotlessly clean and was extremely comfortable. The bathroom and shower were great. Our only issue (not a deal breaker) was the noise from the main bedroom. Bin lorries and other vehicles make quite a lot of noise from about 6am. We would recommend the apartment to couples or small families, it's a great place to stay.

Very nice central place to stay, very clean and modern. Has everything in place you would need. There were only two points to mention, the first was the request for the user to empty bins, and secondly for the user to wipe down surfaces with anti bac, not a problem to do this, however when we arrived the bin had not been emptied from the previous occupier. This then made me feel slightly uncomfortable as to whether the apartment was properly sanitised prior to our arrival? In covid situations like this, I want to feel assured that each time the flat is used it is full sanitised. The front double bedroom is quite noisy along a main street.

This apartment is stunning! The location is great, and perfect for walks along the front and trips to the beach. Eastborough car park opposite was ideal, £9 for 24 hours, we turned up 430/5pm on a Friday and was plenty of space, but I can imagine it gets pretty busy late morning/early afternoon. The fish and chip shop opposite was really good, and definitely worth a try! We spent a bit of time on the terrace, and it’s so nice up there. Overall a great stay, and highly recommend!

Amazing location right on the beach. Really modern place with plenty of space for a family of 4. Heads up about the parking, you need to get to Scarborough early to get a spot in the West car park, if you arrive anytime after 9am you will struggle to find parking close to the apartment. The best fish n chip shop is right opposite the flat! You do get some noise from the main strip at night but nothing major.

Amazing Apartment everything you could need, modern & clean. I think parking could be tricky in peak season. Location is right next to the sea front, so can be noisy at night, better suited to couples/singles rather than families.

Absolutely amazing accommodation , couldn’t recommend enough to family and friends and anyone thinking about booking with this company !!! Beautiful interior and really stylish and modern. Super perfect and super pleased.
