Not cleaned cutlery was dirty baby clothes in washing machine cooking trays were dirty food left in freezer kettle full of limescale milk sachets nearly 2 months out of date wallpaper coming off wall in bedroom huge black mould area in living room area above French doors and general smell of damp all the way through the property

Location was perfect, near Open Air Theatre and restaurants<br/><br/>Would have liked more towels, bath and hand towel not enough for five day stay. A clothes airer would have been useful to dry washing. Otherwise everything was super.

Plenty of space, very clean and modern kitchen and bathroom. Very comfy beds, great location and price. Good communication from staff about the booking.<br/><br/>N/A

Modern conversion, well equipped <br/>Our basement flat had no views but the view of the castle to the south and the North Bay to the north were gorgeous<br/><br/>No washing-up liquid nor kitchen roll and only one dishwasher tablet for a six night stay <br/>The front door caught on the floor, making it difficult to open <br/>Off-street parking was problematic. Worth noting public car parks are free from 6pm to 9am

Spacious and rooms are a good size <br/>Facilities are good. Full size kitchen and everything you need to make breakfast. <br/>Nice bedding and towels<br/><br/>We liked everything))

Rockpools is the perfect base for exploring Scarborough and the surrounding area. The property is located just a minutes walk from Scarborough Castle and a few minutes walk to both North & South Bay. <br/>The flat was spotlessly clean on arrival and has everything you could possibly need for your stay. Kitchen is very well equipped and again spotlessly clean. Beds are very comfortable and the area is very quiet so a good nights sleep is not a problem. Owners even leave a packet of biscuits for you which is a really nice gesture (biscuits were also excellent) <br/>We will definitely stay at Rockpools again if we return the Scarborough. <br/>Bit of a hidden gem in Scarborough is the Market Hall & Vaults. A real treasure trove of friendly traders selling all sorts of collectible and craft items. The Deli Delicious Cafe is excellent. Definitely worth a visit.<br/><br/>Couldn't find any faults with the property at all. Perfect all round.

The flat is beautifully presented, spotlessly clean, comfortable and has everything you need if you wish to dine in. <br/>The sliding doors making 2 x separate rooms each with a TV is great for families! Great WiFi as well.<br/>The stairs down to the property are quite steep so worth noting. Being just by the castle on a beautiful weekend with views & walkable distances to both bays was great.

really liked the lay out of the property, everything there that you would need/want.<br/><br/>We loved our stay but did find it a little bit hard to find via the sat nav, people need to realize that it is a below ground apartment and the apartment name is on the gate.

it was perfect for a getaway

Fantastic little apartment, very well equipped and very comfortable. Would definitely recommend it.

Property matched the photos & was clean. Great sea front location. Furniture was very comfortable & we all slept well. Heating & hot water on demand & great pressure in the shower. Great facilities in the kitchen. Very spacious. Liked the kitchen/dining having a sofa & separate lounge area. <br/>When booking, we didn’t realise the steps were external & so steep as we have stayed in other basement apartments with internal staircases. Stairs were very open which made things difficult with a small dog as he could have easily fallen through the gaps had he been left unattended. This would be better with some added security for these steps and maybe an extra bannister. The gate also opened inwards at the top of these stairs which felt dangerous with the gap when trying to get in/out with dog/cases. Maybe we mis-read the description but didn’t seem to see this. <br/>There was also no grate cover which was hazardous for my small dog.

Awesome place within walking distance from the shore. Beautiful scenery as soon as u walk out the door. Spacious and clean rooms. The ideal vacation house.

Rockpools is amazing. <br>Down a set of steps to this big basement apartment. Through the front door to a long hall which has a brilliantly stocked kitchen/diner half way up. If you need it utensil wise, it's there. Through the kitchen to a lovely, cosy front room with French doors leading back to the steps and a small outside space.<br>Back out into the hall to a bathroom with bath, over bath shower, toilet and basin.<br>Then to a twin (single beds) room with wardrobe and small window.<br>The master bedroom has a double bed, could easily accommodate a king, and en suite.<br>The decor is modern but cosy and homely at the same time.<br>Turn right out of the apartment, it's a small walk to the castle and on to South Bay where there's loads to do, treat yourself to cocktails at The Waterfront Cafe but be ready for "holiday measures"!<br>Turn left and you're about 300byards away from The Scarborough Arms for great pub grub. A small walk to The Albert and further down the street to The North Riding - all dog friendly.<br>All in all, superb.

Great place, just a shame about the noise from above! Need sound proofing. But lovely flat.
