The house was excellent and had everthing you would need for a holiday, home from home. It was easy access to other places of interest. I would certainly recommend it to others. However our one disappointment was the state of the garden and patio area. Totally overgrown with nettles and weeds some atleast a foot high. Certainly did not look like that on pictures. I have taken pictures of the areas concerned.
Booked the White Lodge with Virbo and it turned out our host or the people who handles our booking in Scarborough were in Spain, they offered little support given the house was absolutely filthy every room had issues but the place was simply disgusting with fatty trays left in the oven, food on floor in kitchen, pubic hair all over the shower tray, toothbrush glass in second bathroom full of dirty dried out toothpaste. Every surface was covered in dust and all tables were not clean with spills and first from previous occupants. The conservatory was filthy with actual dirt all over one corner and cushions with wine stains and dirt on them. The outside area was months over grown and unusable all in all a horror story and they suggested if we wait 1-2 hours after had checked in that they would try to get a cleaner to use in an hour or so at 6pm on Friday night. I told them it would take a team of cleaners hours to do eating into the time we had paid to be using our house. They were not able to confirm how the clean would be done or exactly when so we asked for another accommodation but they said no and wait for a cleaner. We chose to leave as this was unacceptable.
