Area. Close to the town.

The room was not clean. Had to wash cutlery and crockery prior to using it. The coffee table was sticky and not clean.smeary.

The location was fantastic.

I felt quite mislead by the property description vs what the property was actually like - in the Q&A the property said they provide a Parking Pass but when we asked the host we were told this isn’t true, so we spent a fair bit of money paying for parking during the week when that was a massive reason why I booked it. There are 2 flights of stairs to the property which aren’t ideal for anyone with mobility issues and my mum struggled with. The flat isn’t very well stocked - being your own toilet roll (1 small roll wasn’t enough for a family of 4 for a week); other than some washing up liquid there were no cleaning products, salt and pepper etc. It wasn’t the cleanest - the tea towel and fridge were both dirty, (don’t look under the bed!!), the front entrance was really gross with loads of pigeon poop but the alley was cleaned halfway through our stay. The description doesn’t make it too clear on excess fees which I will be careful in future to not let catch me out! You can either pay £25 non-refundable fee as a deposit or you can pay over £100 that is returned in 14 working days minus a £10 admin charge. All in all I felt pretty mislead by the property and it explains why it was cheaper than some stays.

Great place, quite close to the train station and the shore. The stair to the apartment was a bit of a struggle because of our big bags but other than that everything was smooth and very comfortable.
Great amenities, well equipped house and super comfortable and clean.

Great location, clean, confy beds and nice place.

The entrance is in an alleyway full of pigeons nests, and the entrace was quite disgusting.

Central location - ideal for exploration - we worried about parking but the host supplied us with parking cards.

the kitchen could have been better supplied but ...

Location good.
But the alleyway where apartment was, was covered in pigeon poop.

The apartment was not, how I felt cleaned on arrival. A welcome pack is always a nice gesture.
No washing up liquid. No soap.
Pigeons were an issue. Nesting outside window and extremely noisy. Also party above us were dreadfully noisy. They tried to get into our apartment at 2am. Very loud and argumentative in early hours.

Good facilities everything you needed to be self catering

Pigeon poo on front steps and hard to find plus steps to 2nd floor

Nice clean apartment with nice touches like tea, milk, sugar, toilet paper, shampoo etc left for our arrival. TV with multi channels , Decent Wi-Fi, Great location

Beds were quite low and maybe needing a new mattress in one room but still okay, need something in place to keep the pigeons away from the entrance as there was a lot of bird droppings there

When we booked it did mention parking was available but it wasn’t very clear so I message the host and they told me there will be a scratch card in the property with instructions. When we went to use the scratch card there was a parking attendant present and he said this card would only be available for 2 days. As we were staying for 3 nights we would need more parking so I messaged the host again only to be told they do not provide parking so I asked the question why did you leave the scratch card in the apartment. The host said there has been a misunderstanding and they don’t provide parking and their website had not been updated. Very contradictory. Anyway the host said they would sort it and get back to me which they didn’t so this was very frustrating. Anyway we managed to park and pay for the rest of the duration of our stay. I feel you really need your be very clear on the parking situation when staying at the property and then there would be no confusion or misunderstandings.

Great location in terms of the town’s facilities. clean comfortable beds, everything there for a short stay.

Tucked down dark alleyway with lots of bird droppings.

TV in awkward position, could do with being on a swivel stand.

Lovely apartment, comfortable and close to great restaurants and bars

???????? ??????? ???????

It was very easy to collect the keys in a lockbox with a code the host let us into the property early which was a bonus.

Maybe a touch up on the paintwork but otherwise perfect !!!

The property was lovely

Once I placed my booking I was charged a £250 deposit plus £10 admin fee straight from my credit card along with the charge for the property. This was not detailed on Booking.com. I only stayed one night however, I had to wait 7 days after checkout for the deposit refund to be approved plus another 5 working days for it to go back onto my card. The admin fee of £10 was never refunded. I think this is appalling. Plus, you can’t check in until 4pm and check out is 10am. I was constantly hounded via text and email advising of this, even getting a text 9am in the morning saying I needed to check out by 10!
Nice accommodation but I would not recommend or stay again.

Loved my birthday stay here, not surprising as I'd enjoyed a previous stay in the flat above. Spacious and had everything needed. A small issue of having to chase lockbox email to get in to the property but the lady on the phone was friendly and immediately helpful. Wish Host&Stay would consider adding a few luxuries like with independent hosts in the future

The location is very good and in the middle of town, nice facilities and a great shower. Perfect for a short break.

The only issue is there are a couple of sets of stairs you have to go up to get into the property. Anyone with a mobility issue would find this hard.

The boiler is also in one of the bedrooms, and every time the heating switches on, you could hear it and get woken up. I would advise maybe putting some kind of sound proofing in the cupboard it's in to help with this.

Nice apartment very cold
The heating was obviously set to a certain temperature wouldn't turn up and in Dec this shouldn't be set

Pigeon poo all in passage way all over front door all over the key safes discusting....needs something over the front door to prevent this a canopy or something.....

Close to town

Dirty glasses in cupboard dirty grill tray and dirty bathroom cupboards

The apartment was lovely and in a great location. the size for a family of 4 was also great as were the facilities, i.e. tea, coffee making facilities and toiletries.

There were a few scuff marks on walls that need attention.
I think 4pm is too late to get into the property, especially for one night stay. most travellers would aim to get there much earlier as they don't have long n the resort, a 2pm arrival is late enough, and as a seasoned traveller, 2pm is standard.

The TV on the wall could also do with being hung on a movable wall stand, it was difficult to see the TV from all areas of the seating area.

I would also prefer to have one final cost when booking accommodation, the security charges were confusing and very high. I will be more careful if booking an apartment in the future

The flat itself is great. The beds were comfortable, the shower was great, and having a kitchen was also great. There are 2 things to be forewarned about with this location. 1: parking is very limited to certain zones and that may mean you have a 20 minute walk from your car to the flat. 2: it isn’t included in the listing but they will message you and ask for either a $250 refundable deposit or $30 damage waiver to be able to finalize your booking. This information is NOT included in the listing, but probably should be. It wasn’t an issue for us, but if someone does the non refundable booking, it may be an issue for them considering that info isn’t available until after you’ve already paid and assume your booking is set and final. Overall we enjoyed the flat and the location, but that deposit thing felt a little bait and switch.

Great location, very clean apartment, no scratch card for car park on arrival so had to wait until after 5pm to go out but they compensated with extra hour on check out can’t ask for fairer than that

Location is good

All was good

The property was handy for the amenities.

The property needs decorating. The boiler in the bedroom isn’t a good idea as being a light sleeper it woke me up every time someone turned on the hot tap!!

Location was excellent, property at first glance was great

Entrance door, key boxes and entrance staircase were dirty and unwelcoming

Brilliant location cafe shops pubs fantastic apartment bed comfy all modern amenities

Nothing to dislike

Lovely apartment.Very clean, everything you need apart from a set of tongs. Only problem was walking into the building was very smelly, and full of pigeons muck and feathers all over the stairs. This is due to the pigeons nesting on the window ledges on the apartment. I was talking to a lady who was cleaning all the pigeon muck up down the passage where you had to go down to the apartment, she owned a house down the same passage at the end. She was saying they need to get a gel do the pigeons don’t nest there instead of the spikes that there have up.
Key safe was also very hard to open, a man had to do this for us on arrival it was another guest checking in at the same time.

Right in the centre of town a great location.

Great location. Apartment really clean. Nice place to stay.

Stairs

Location

Fridge hadn’t been cleaned and the staircase leading up to the apartment was really dirty

The bedrooms were spacious, with good views
Very clean
Good locations

Drainage wasn’t the best
The bedrooms became light in the morning as the blinds wasn’t amazing at keeping it out

very clean and nice - very central to everything-

Bed in the larger room, the mattress had a big dip and you tend to roll out of the bed little lumbar support which did cause pain i used some cushions' to bolster up - Tv signal was intermittent - the duvet was far too hot for July but there were no other options like a blanket instead- Also a knife that cuts bread would be really helpful. A lot of pigeon droppings at the doorstep which you had to avoid as it could get all over the stairs- didn't quite believe that all rubbish could be put together and be separated afterwards by the recycling centre

Great location

Perfect stop over for exploring Whitby. Great location, spacious, well-equipped. Easy to access. Our only point to note was that the beds were too soft. Otherwise great!

Location was excellent, only a few minutes away from the centre of Whitby and places to eat just over the road from the property.

A pair of pigeons where nesting on the windowsill outside of one of the windows but this wasn't really a problem as they made very little noise if any.

Comfortable beds, had everything you needed to enjoy your stay.

Had to park a fair distance away from property. Only one parking card which was a pain for us as I was travelling from Sheffield and my partner had to travel from Newcastle due to a conference.

Paul & Patrik

The apartment is right in the centre of Whitby, so great for feeling part of the town. The bedrooms are at opposite ends, so good for privacy, and the kitchen is well equipped with pans and plates (but no oil, salt or pepper). The living room furniture is a bit wobbly (which has been mentioned in previous reviews) and they could definitely do more about the pigeon poo - hanging nets over the window and entrance alley would stop the birds nesting and dropping their goo - because there is A LOT of it. But otherwise a really good stay and the hosts are very communicative.

Apartment had everything you could possibly need, location was perfect too

More stairs than expected to get to the apartment

We’ll equipped and spacious apartment in a great location

My only criticism would be that the beds weren’t super comfortable.

the flat is on the second floor and ideal for people with no young kids and not a lot of luggage to haul up. the parking is not outside and we had to walk 10 mins to park (closest) up hill. it's is on a steep hill leading to the harbour. lovely area with lots of coffee shops and restaurants. 10 min walk to beach.
all bedding and towels clean and fresh but a few improvements would make it perfect I.e. needs a bit of a paint and deep clean along with carpet and oven. there is a dishwasher and washing machine which was helpful. bathroom musty and the extractor broken.

Drainer in kitchen rusty, two dining chairs broken, bin rusty, fridge needed wiped out

Basin in bathroom needs changing, some walls need re-painting,dishwasher needed to be empty on arrival, and inside oven needed cleaning.

Apartment 2 was in a great location for our needs. Overall the apartment was clean however the walls were covered in marks in each of the rooms, kitchen and hallway. Capets had stains, quite big noticable ones and the furniture was falling apart. Three slats came loose in the main bedroom bed. I had previously read about this on another review but assumed they would have fixed it by now.
The sofa felt really unsturdy as did the dining room table and chairs.
Something which is not the hosts fault was the pigeons. If you are a light sleeper, do not stay here. Even with ear plugs you could here the pigeons nesting on the window outside.
Overall, this place is good but probably not worth the price we paid.

once inside, nice modern apartment, comfy beds, kitchen well stocked.

pigeons ! pigeons outside on the window ledge. if you value your sleep would not recommend!
the apartment could have been cleaner - dusty blind’s, dirty windows, grout in shower mouldy, outside door, step and key safe covered in pigeon poop !!! get it swilled off for goodness sake!!

clean 2nd floor apartment. Well kitted out, centrally located for shops etc. Apartments are Unfortunately plagued with pigeons nesting on the window ledges along with the associated noise and mess.

The location was amazing. Definitely value for money.

NA

the beds were so comfortable and the location is spot on and not far to walk

the smell of rotten food soon as you walked in the door made me sick
the fact that £250 deposit for damage or spill yet all carpets are stained as well as walls so disappointed as if paying that price should be immaculate
carpets hadn’t even been hoovered as hair was everywhere
complained to have no reply back so customer service and cleaner need improved

Apartment in a great location

I have made a formal complaint regarding this booking.

Exactly as described.

Had one issue with the main bed slats shifting and collapsing after being layed on, but this was fixed the following day with no issues.

was completely unable to connect to the WiFi as the router information given did not match any that could be found, but wasn't a deal breaker as we didn't spend much time in the apartment.

overall it was a pleasant stay.

Good location and lovely apartment!

Second time we have stopped location is great

Only grumble the entrance door was covered in bird poo, some of it had been there for a while. The stairs leading up to the apartment could do with a clean.

The apartment is modern and has everything you need for your stay.

The only negative thing we're the pigeons on the windowsills first thing in the morning being noisey. Some more pigeon spikes require adding as they just sit behind it.

Apartment was lovely and in a great location. Only bad thing was I think they may have forgot to hoover and the pigeon poop in the close is a nightmare!

A really well located apartment, comfy beds and nicely decorated. Wouldn’t hesitate to recommend!

Ideally placed, clean modern and tidy.
Comfy beds and seating
Well equipped

The clear pane of glass in bedroom door be ideal to put some form of frosted window sticker over it

Good spot for exploring Whitby.

The apartment was nicely furnished & the beds were very comfortable.

The entrance was shabby and smelt musty. When we entered the apartment it smelt of stale smoke despite it saying that this property was a none smoking property. It was the first time I’ve had to pay a damage waiver too though so may not return.

We were able to access the property easily.

Although a lovely property and in a great location , the host neglected to leave a scratch card for parking . We assumed we would be able to quickly get in on arrival and pick up the parking permit as there was space outside the apartment . However this resulted in a £25 parking ticket after 5mins in the property. So not a great start ! I phoned the owners who were not able to deliver a card that night …pointless as we left the next morning .
The apartment is well equipped and the beds were really comfortable . We did however have to wash wine glasses before use as they had lip stains on them which annoyed me as there is a £60 cleaning fee charged at booking also . I have also never had to pay a damage protection fee in any of the Airbnb properties I’ve stayed in over the years. Didn’t feel I got value for money on this occasion .

Nice place

Apartment beautiful everything you need

Sofa needs attention a little rickety

being central .

the uncleanliness

Great location, apartment exactly as advertised. Only issue with Whitby it’s self is the parking, or lack there of without permits etc.

Amazing apartment in a excellent location. Will definitely return.

Ideal place for a short break in the heart of Whitby. Had everything we needed for our small family. I would not hesitate in rebooking!

The place and its location was perfect. It had everything you needed and very clean.
The parking needs sorting. We were given an incorrect scratch card, which resulted in a parking fine for us. The hosts response was inadequate and unsympathetic, and because of this we wouldn’t rent with them again.

Excellent location. Modern high end finish in the apartment. Warm & clean. Good contact with host. Will definitely go again

Size of beds

Noise of the doors banging from other guests,it was not worth the price we paid. Far too many steps and pigeon crap all up the front door so it definitely was on your hands

Lovely, well kept & clean apartment. Second floor so a few steps to climb, not an issue for us but be aware.

Overall, whilst we didn’t spend that much time in the apartment. It was comfortable and quiet. Shame we couldn’t extend the check out, which is quite early at 10am.

A few issues locating it. It’s above a shop so the entrance is down a side alley which isn’t obvious.

Parking is limited. Able to drop bags close to entrance but then had to find parking away from property but they do provide a parking voucher, it wasn’t really an issue for us.

The boiler for heating & water is located in the main bedroom, was a little noisy but we just turned it off.

The appartment was very nice and modern.
Well positioned close to shops and the river.

The outside door to the apartments was splattered with pigeon droppings, not a good first impression.

very modern and clean

quite a few flights of stairs to go up to apartment and very dirty and smelly in stairwell.

The apartment was modern and well stocked with everything you'd need for a stay.
The flat is central with easy access to the town.
The shower was excellent.

The outside entrance is dirty and covered in pigeon droppings. The area around the door was particularly bad.
The alley way is also very dark and doesn't feel particularly safe when you come back late at night.
The stairway is very steep and very narrow.
The flat itself needs a lick of paint and looks shabby in places.
The slats on the main bed had all fallen off the frame and we had to fix that before we could get into bed.
Most of the spikes to deter pigeons on the bedroom window sills had fallen off, so there was a constant noise of pigeons on the window sills, especially from 5am onwards!!
The noise from the street is quite apparent and we were woken at 3am on our 2nd night by an aggressive domestic argument in the alley way at the back of the building.

Really modern apartment. Accept that parking bit restricted. Great kitchen and utensils supplied.

The entrance to the property. Unfortunately, front door spattered with pigeon poo. Also second bedroom pigeons a bit noisy when settled on the window sill at night. Parkings bit restricted but we found a small car park 5min walk away (had to pay). Would have to drive round a bit to find allocated parking options or park further out.

Great location, right in the middle of Whitby. Really comfortable bed and good facilities.

Parking is a bit tricky in Whitby so had to park quite a few streets away but that seems to be the way it is in a town like Whitby.

Memory foam mattress uncomfortable and seen better days. slats on bed not fitting and coming out.

Location. Nice that milk was left in fridge as we arrived late, cleaning products provided (except brush and dust pan).

Foisty smell at lower level staircase (possibly as it didn’t look as if carpet had been cleaned for a log while). Small issues with cleanliness (lamp in large bedroom covered in dust, dining table had cup marks on and when I cleaned table top with clean cloth couldn’t believe how dirt it was and two dining chairs had spilt food on them, (easily washed them off by not something you would expect to have to do). Pigeons ‘nesting’ on sills outside bedroom window. I paid for extra 4day parking for my brother and only got 2day one.

briief stay but great location and very clean and stylish apartment.

location and whitby itself

noisey party from 2 rooms above untill 4.30am both days

Great location. Really nicely decorated with lots of useful amenities.

It wasn't very clean. There was sand on the floor and the cooker had been previously used and left with grease all in it. Also, the bed in the larger bedroom was broken - the slats had fallen off.

Good location

stylish modern apartment, very clean and central.

A great place to stay in the centre of Whitby. The apartment is located within a stone throw of some great places to eat and drink.

Lovely appartment, just as described and in a great location! Communication was good throughout with an easy check-in and check-out. Would recommend

Location was excellent close to everything. Place was spotless

Think the only downside was the parking, could take u anywhere from 5 mins to half an hour to find a space in zone w0

This apartment was absolutely stunning, modern, clean and amazing facilities. The location was incredible for exploring Whitby. Beds very comfortable, shower powerful and hot, clean linen and well stocked kitchen. Communication with the hosts was professional consistent and clear. We would have stayed much longer if we could!

The only difficulties we had were with parking which wasn't too bad but we ended up a few streets away and had to do a couple of trips to drop off our luggage up steep stairs. It wouldn't be manageable for someone with mobility difficulties. For a longer stay a wardrobe would be welcome but it was fine for a couple of nights.

The apartment was ideal and in a great location

Wasn't sure of parking situation and had a fine although we were parked in a W zone

the location was ideal
key pick up/drop off was hassle free
there was parking nearby

would have benefited from more hanging space in bedrooms and hallway.
no pint glasses.
crockery needed a good wash.
one of the beds was not fit for purpose - slats kept dropping out and it was very low to the floor even though there appeared to be feet for it in the cupboard.
window pane fell out onto me.

Modern, stylish flat, in a perfect location to explore all of Whitby. The flat was spotless when we arrived and had everything we needed.

5 minute walk down to the harbour to access everything; it is on a bit of a steep hill but we managed with our 3yo and her pushchair.
Parking can be a little tricky but not impossible and parking permit scratch cards are provided or there is the harbour long stay car park only 10 mins away.
We loved our visit and the flat and will definitely love to stay again soon.

comfortable central

2 flights of stairs. my elderly mother found difficulty managing 2 flights of stairs. this should have been pointed out in advance

Beautiful well appointed apartment. Modern decor/furniture .Excellent well equipped kitchen and shower room. Comfy beds. Excellent location.

Nothing to fault.

Excellent apartment in terms of location and decor, I was so pleased.

Disappointed with the cleanliness of the apartment overall. It was ok, but not great. Dusty bedside cabinates, blinds and window sils dusty, mirrors smear marks, kitchen bin dirty, floor in kitchen crumbs crumbs in cutlery draw. Bathroom a few hairs. Attention to detail lacking and the communal entrance/staircase and carpet for the four rental apartments was filthy which let it down. The bottom bed sheet in the main king bedroom was ripped which wasn't noticed by myself till the morning after as it was on the opposite side to the side I'd slept on and surprised it wasn't notice when the sheet was put on. If the cleanliness was better I would be back in a heartbeat but this is my honest review.

Very modern, clean and comfortable accommodation

The access to the apartment is a favorite roosting place for pigeons so difficult to avoid the inevitable droppings.
Also the heating boiler is in a cupboard next to the bed in the back bedroom which comes on during the night even when the heating isn't on.

A lovely apartment in a great central location. Good communication from the host. The online guidebook provided was a great help as well.

Very easy to find and the keys we’re waiting.

The communal areas are tired and need a good clean. The beds were in a poor condition, the master bed felt like it had collapsed and the other bed needs attention as it squeaks whenever you move.

I would definitely stay here again. The apartment was lovely and clean. We had everything we needed, even down to milk in the fridge. The location was great and ideal for exploring Whitby on foot with all local attractions nearby. We had a lovely stay and would recommend it to others.

We were fine with the parking but could see how it might be tricky at busier times of the year. I was on my own with two kids so I'd recommend parking for an hour or so at the nearest pay and display car park. (West Cliff wasn't busy at all) then coming down to the apartment to get your permit so you can move your car to the W Zone spaces for the rest of your stay. There is another little car park closer to Flowergate but it was full when I tried to get into it.

what a lovely property in a fab location.

excellent, central location. beautifully presented with almost everything you could want.

Nothing much but a few things just felt missing. There was no way of drying washed dishes, one of the bedrooms had a glass panel in the door which meant it wasn’t entirely private.

Beautifully decorated and equipped and immaculately clean with super comfy beds

The stairs were the only thing that were hard work, but that was unavoidable in such a central location in a nice shopping area

No bedroom curtains , ?windows rattling ? noisy because of pubs ? and sea gulls and didn’t like the boiler in the bedroom ?

the property was a pleasure to walk into. it was really modern and stylish and clean.

nothing at all. it was lovely.

modern , clean , welcoming with milk and tea bags

stairs area needs cleaning

Location

There was a very pundent smell I did tell the company but not got no where. Stairs too many and steep. Not good disability.

nice size. modern bathroom, great location.

nothing

Great location
very comfortable bed
Nice apartment

Big struggle when trying to park not many spaces
although scratch cards were provided

Location and cleanliness

Lots of stairs, not suitable for family with little children and buggies. Also, parking was not close by

Noisy boiler outside the property kept me awake for most of the night

Perfect location with all the facilities needed.

Parking is not easy

The apartment was great, modern fresh and clean. Location short stroll in to Whitby, ideally placed.

The back bedroom bed seemed to slope on one side towards the window, so you felt like you were falling out of it. I would think an easy fix. The WiFi password didn’t work, needs checking.

I liked the central location which was great for both the coast and for restaurants.

Car parking is extremely difficult in Zone W

The apartment was very clean and super spacious, really central and easy to get to! Would absolutely stay again ????

Lovely clean modern apartment, comfy beds and a great shower. Location was great and the included parking voucher was welcomed.

Only minor issues, but there was confusion over the correct keypad number (and letter), upon our arrival prompring a stressful late phone call to the office to eventually resolve. Not ideal after a 3 hour drive to be stood in a dark wet alleyway with a young child. An apology was given to be fair.
There was nowhere to hang wet coats, so some extra hooks would have helped. Equally, wardrobe space was very limited.
We all felt that curtains aswell as blinds would help when sleeping.

Very cosy very clean would definitely use again and would definitely recommend

Only little niggle was no toilet brush which in fairness isn't a hardship. Would have liked a little later departure time especially if it was a weekend and out celebrating.

Location

On the day of departure received an email requesting that we clean the apartment before we left when we had in fact paid a service charge of £25 and a further fee of £50 for cleaning. Crockery left in the dishwasher on arrival. Loose legs on the sofa, and the walls would benefit from redecoration.

The apartment is very clean and trendy, Stunning views through the byfolding windows I would definitely come again

The property was perfect in every way could not fault anything will definitely visit again

Apartment in a Good location and was decorated lovely with good facilities.

Bed broke whilst sleeping, having to repair it in the night, no feedback from the host and stay team when bed repaired, so did not use bed, found on reviews that it had happened on another two occasions and not been fixed.
Need new beds without slats.

Needs somewhere to hang clothes as rack provided no good as falls over if you hang anything on it. ( photo provided)

No storage in smaller room for clothes.

Apartment had everything we needed. Beds very comfortable and stylishly presented

The people who were staying above us kept us awake most of the night shouting and playing music

Excellent location, nicely furnished, well equipped apartment. Very comfortable and clean :)

Paper thin between floor and ceiling to apartment above, could literally hear every word said.
Dirty unwelcoming entrance stairs - could do with a repaint and new carpet!
Wifi password didn’t work.

fabolous appartment

Location was great. Very central.
There IS a washing machine here.

Master bedroom needs a new mattress.

The place itself is nice and a nice location. We had problems with the beds. The backroom The bed is hard and the other bed collapsed on us on both nights. On the 2nd night most of the lats just caved in on movement. We had to sleep on the sofa and chair. We reported it and we got a sorry and that's it

Cosy, well furnished

The property is located in the heart of Whitby, and within easy walking distance of all amenities within the town. There is a wonderful diner right opposite the apartment which does the most amazing breakfast!

The lounge, dining area, kitchen and shower room are well equipped and to a good standard. The whole apartment is very well kept and clean.

I liked the idea of the electronic pad welcoming us, and all the information to hand within it.

The hosts agents are very good at communication, returning calls and assisting when necessary.

The bed in the back bedroom was very uncomfortable and very low, and needs replacing.

There are no wardrobes in the property. A very small rickety clothes rail with 4 coat hangers was in the front bedroom, which served no purpose at all, as it fell over if you put anything on it. Luckily I took hangers with me, and hung clothes over the door of the boiler cupboard in the back bedroom - not ideal.

Considering the money spent on the rest of the apartment, the lack of wardrobes, full length mirror and coat pegs in the hallway let's this property down slightly.

There are two flights of stairs to the apartment, which did not concern us, but could be problematic for someone not so agile.

The apartment was modern & nicely presented. It felt like it had recently been renovated. There was plenty of kitchen roll, toilet roll & cleaning products. It was very close to the attractions so in an ideal location. We were able to pop back during the day for lunch. It felt very safe which was an important factor. I parked in a W zone just up the road using the free parking card. It was a struggle to find a space but when I did, I felt the car was secure. The instructions to find the apartment & use the safe to get the keys were very clear. There was an iPad to check in. I didn’t feel anything was lacking in the apartment.

Sadly, we left a day early as the noise from the seagulls was absolutely horrendous. We couldn’t sleep. I took a recording as I’ve never heard anything like it. Obviously not the fault of the apartment but something to be aware of. Take ear plugs!

My friend and I stayed at Hudsons Yard for 3 nights. The apartment was immaculately clean and in a fantastic location for all Whitby’s cafes, restaurants and beach.

We didn’t find anything we didn’t like about the apartment.

Right in the middle of town.

Parking is a lottery

We really enjoyed our stay, the location is fab for exploring the town. Nice modern flat and good communication from the hosts

An absolutely beautiful apartment, tastefully decorated, very clean, great location. Hosts attentive to needs and great communication. Apartment very well equipped. Top tip: if you don’t want to be woken up by screaming seagulls or sunlight at 4am take an eyemask and good earplugs x

Location

No storage. Bed collapsed. Clear glass panel in bedroom door

Location- The property is in an excellent location to the centre of Whitby, two minute walk into the town. Apartment- The property is clean & tidy but there is very little storage space. One double bedroom has only a few shelves and no hanging space or drawers at all. The second double bedroom has only a flimsy tiny rail which is the hanging space but there are no shelves or drawers. The rail will not hold up on it's own, it has to be lent against a wall & collapsed more than once during our stay. In addition to this, one of the double bedrooms has a clear glass panel within the door which is the whole length so there is no privacy to this bedroom. During our stay one of the double beds collapsed during the night as the slats fell out. This was reported & the managing agent arranged this to be repaired promptly. This property is poorly thought out. There is no dressing table space so everything has to be stored on the floor. There is also no full length mirror although there is space for this. The bathroom is a good size & there is a great shower. Parking- Although you can park free on street in the W zones, there was no spaces available so we had to pay for pay & display parking at £9 for 24 hours. This added another £27 to our rental price. We stayed midweek so weekends would be even less likelyto get one of the free parking spaces. Overall very disappointed with this property. It looks lovely on the photos and effort has been put into the decor but the bedrooms have not been thought out for the visitor staying.

great place to stay in a great location. I would definitely stay again

location was perfect, self-catering everything we needed

The weather lol

Lovely apartment in a fantastic location and the instructions/communication from Stay were great. We had issues with noise and partying from the apartment above which were reported to Stay & they are looking into this.

Lovely apartment in a great location.

very good location, excellent communication from host

The location is perfect and the apartment was super stylish and really quiet.

A fantastic apartment in the heart of Whitby. Walking distance to everything you need to explore. Stunning second floor apartment, really clean and modern. Great hot rain shower in the bathroom with added touches like shampoo, hand soap etc. All cleaning products provided. Tea, coffee, milk provided too which was a nice touch. Will be back!

This is a stylish, very clean apartment with everything you could need. It is in the town so easily accessible to all amenities. Parking is a pain in Whitby though this is nothing at all to do with the accommodation and cannot be helped :)

A brilliant stay in a lovely apartment! Good, clear information from Stay in the lead up to our trip made self-check in easy. The apartment is in a great location, was spotless upon arrival and had everything we needed. We enjoyed our stay so much we booked an extra night and the Stay team were really helpful in sorting this out for us!

Great spot and lovely apartment would highly recommend

We thoroughly enjoyed our visit to Whitby, despite the bad weather. Apartment 2 was extremely warm, comfortable and well appointed. The apartment was in an excellent position to enable us to walk everywhere in Whitby. We would not hesitate to use STAY again.

Excellent central location. Stylish and modern with nice furnishings. Two negatives - Firstly, the stairs are very steep up to this second floor apartment which we struggled with as we had luggage for three nights. Secondly, there are pigeons which live on the windowsills near the bedroom windows which start coo-ing at sunrise - so expect an early start to your day!

The apartment was perfect, spotlessly clean, fantastically equipped and superb location. Stay North Yorkshire we’re also super helpful. Will definitely use both again!

We had a lovely stay in Whitby, a great apartment with everything you need in a fab central location.

A clean and modern apartment within minutes of walking distance to the harbour, restaurants, and shops.

Very clean and comfortable apartment. The description and photos are accurate - the flat is very well presented. Great location in the centre of Whitby. Parking wasn't a problem for us, though involved about a 10 minute walk. Recommended.

Home Truths

Due to the central location of the apartment, free parking is provided but this will be a few moments from the property.

As the apartment is located on the second floor, you will need to walk up several flights of stairs.

Apartment Two is located on a narrow walkway just off Whitby's central Flowergate. It can be hard to miss so look out for Hudsons Yard.
