The Space
Spread out across a ground floor, The Cabin In The Woods is a glamour spot designed to give you peace and tranquillity. At the very front of The Cabin is its heart, the combined living and kitchen area. Here you will find the perfect space in which to relax yourself. With the living room equipped with a two seater sofa and a three seater corner sofa that are both pleasingly decked out with plush cushions, this gives you the wondrous chance to spread out and take in the wall-mounted flatscreen, equipped with Netflix that you are more than welcome to sign into and peruse at your leisure.

The Kitchen is a fresh and modern space, dominated by the centre island which can be the perfect dining space for a quick meal for two. You will also find it fully stocked with all appliances and amenities which you might require. An electric hob, oven, kettle, toaster, microwave, dishwasher, fridge and freezer, cutlery and dinnerware are all on offer for you to use throughout the duration of your stay. On top of this you may also make use of the ample dining table with room for six people so you can eat in style and gaze out onto the Cabin’s balcony and wonders that this country retreat offers.

There are also three bedrooms on offer, all of which are made up with the plushest bed linens and comfiest sheets and pillows; and their own TVs, with Netflix that you are more than able to sign-in to your own accounts on. The first bedroom contains a king-sized bed and has plenty of storage space on offer for you, as well as an ensuite equipped with a standing shower, WC and wash basin. The second room offers a double bed and can comfortably accommodate up to two guests, with a wardrobe that brings ample storage. Finally, the third bedroom brings with it twin beds and offers plenty of comfort, with its own wardrobe for storage for all your bits and bobs.

The family bathroom comes with a bath and shower, as well as a wash basin and WC, with two heated towel rails for your convenience.

If you’re looking for a relaxing break, you’ll get the best of both worlds when staying at Egton. This quaint village is perfect for walks and picnics. Head to Egton Bridge, Arncliffe Woods or the river where you can head over small stepping stones to the wooded island. If you’re looking to eat out or enjoy a quiet drink, there are two public houses in Egton - the Wheatsheaf and the Horseshoe.

Egton is located just six miles from the seaside town of Whitby on the North Yorkshire coast. Popular for its Blue Flag West Cliff beach and promenade, the whole family can enjoy a day on the golden sands. Head to Pier Road, you’ll find fun arcades and plenty of fish restaurants where you can sample the catch of the day.

The other side of Whitby is full of narrow, medieval streets dotted with boutiques and pubs. Climb the famous 199 steps up to the Church of Saint Mary. You can also discover the renowned ruined Whitby Abbey, which was the inspiration for Bram Stoker’s gothic novel ‘Dracula’.

Getting Around
Egton has great rail and bus links to Whitby. Northern Rail operates a train to Whitby five times per day which is a short 22 minute journey. Whitby train station is in the centre of Whitby so villages and towns along the North Yorkshire coast can easily be reached via rail from here too.

Alternatively, you can hop on the Arriva North East bus service from Egton which travels three times a day.

By car the journey from Egton to Whitby takes approximately 12 minutes along the A171.

Great location and area, lots to see and do, the lodge was a good size for our family, comfortable and clean. Some basics provided which is helpful as shop was a car drive away. We visited Whitby, Robin Hoods Bay and Runswick Bay, all a short drive away, lots of parking but go early ish as it fills up quickly!

Great stay at Eller Beck - clean, spacious, warm, well-appointed & a good location to explore NYM & the coast.
We're relatively local & will definitely be back!
( Note : accommodation run by a 3rd party, which can be slightly confusing )

Great lodge and beautiful location. Would recommend .

Lovely cosy cabin for a weekend away close to Whitby , peaceful location, would definitely stay again .

Nothing

Nice location, clean

No handwash , shower gel, shampoo

quit location

Very clean and tidy

Lovely modern accommodation. Good heating facilities. Great location with access to the North Yorkshire moors, Whitby, Sandsend and Saltburn-By-The-Sea.

Very small constructive criticism; a few shelves in bedrooms two & three would have been great, also maybe some door hooks. We struggled with where to put stuff! Apart from that no negative feedback.

fantastic lodge, within a lovely quiet setting but within each reach of all attractions

Location and comfort and size

Windows were a bit dirty and dusty light shades. Only one ‘proper’ wine glass

So many luxurious touches. Beautiful decor, fantastic facilities and in an amazing location next to woodlands. Ideal place to visit coastal bays and enjoy fabulous resterants.

Didn't want to leave, could have stayed there forever.

The cabin is fantastic, with everything you need for an enjoyable, comfortable stay.

There was nothing that we didn't like.

Gute Lage auf einem Campingplatz nicht weit entfernt von Whitby.
Alles sehr neu und in einem sehr guten Zustand.

Eine Waschmaschine wäre sehr gut.

Love lodge, really cosy and modern and well kept. Nice location just a 5 min drive into Whitby.

Beautiful lodge with excellent location for visiting Whitby! We wanted a relaxing weekend away with our baby girl and that's what we got. we definitely will be back. Only downfall is it's not very baby/infant friendly, with not much room for a cot in the rooms. no highchair or cot provided either, this could be a great addition here. All in all an excellent stay that we loved !

Excellent location for our needs, peaceful, and beautifully appointed accommodation.

All good

We had a lovely short stay here, very peaceful surrounded by forest - we saw chickens and rabbits! Close to Whitby and surrounding areas. Easy checkin / clear instructions etc. Would recommend!

We had a lovely stay in this beautiful cabin. It is modern yet cosy. The beds are comfortable and there is everything you need for a short break. It is just a 10 minute drive to Whitby. There is also a pub/restaurant which had just reopened after refurbishment during our stay called ‘the stables’, it is a 5 minute drive away from the cabin with a delicious Sunday lunch and a lovely beer garden with beautiful views.
The only thing that stopped me giving 5 stars is that there were crumbs left on the dining chairs and in the kitchen drawers but this wouldn’t stop us from returning. Thanks for a great stay!

Lovely stay. The cabin was beautiful and so clean. Very peaceful site and beautiful surroundings.
Very clean and great communication

Lovely lodge in peaceful surroundings, very spacious and comfortable for our family of 4. Conveniently located for Whitby park and ride and the NYMR at Grosmont. Would definitely stay again!

The cabin was very nicely decorated with comfortable beds and clean bed linen and fresh towels

having to be out by 10am on a Sunday, the WIFI wasn't great and we had to figure out the code as it was written wrong on the Info we were given. A car charging point would have also been useful

A beautiful lodge at the edge of the woods. So peaceful and relaxing in a great location only 10 minutes from Whitby. Would highly recommend and felt at home as soon as we got there in the modern open living area. Will definitely be back

Really lovely location, great for exploring the area. The lodge is very well specified, living area is perfect for a family so the chef doesn't miss out. Highly recommended!

A nice property in a peaceful location

A stylish, comfortable and well equipped property. Warm & cosy during our November visit
The site was beautiful and very handy for visits to Whitby and the Moors.
Would recommend without hesitation, it accommodated two couples with ease and would also suit families.

Wonderful stay in the most beautiful lodge

Lovely lodge - very well equipped. It is in a great location for Whitby and the surrounding area and we had a lovely stay with good weather which was a bonus!

Throughly enjoyed our stay over the August bank holiday. The lodge is amazing, plenty of space, beautiful decor and stunning location. Would definitely book again. The site the lodge is situated on is very quiet, nice walks around the woods surrounding it and the village is a short drive away. We ate at the Witching Post and can definitely recommend lovely food and friendly hosts/staff. We used the park and ride, about 10 minutes from the site, to get into Whitby and was ideal especially over the busy bank holiday.

Well appointed cabin in quiet woodland location. Less than 10 minutes into Whitby. Great local pubs. Would recommend.

Absolutely fabulous. Wonderful luxury lodge situated in a great location for Whitby, Grosmont steam railway just for starters and a fab well run site at Lady Cross Plantation Egton.

We had a lovely relaxing stay. Perfect location would highly recommend.

Eller Beck was a fantastic place to stay - clean, comfortable, lovely decor and well appointed. The site was very peaceful and a perfect location to visit so many places. Two good pubs serving food in the village nearby. All communication was clear, prompt and friendly. We will definitely stay there again!

Lovely few days in Egton. Great location. Communication couldn’t have been better. Will definitely be returning in the future.

A lovely, clean spacious lodge in a quiet location. Nice walks around the site itself.

Excellent cabin. Has everything that you could want.
5 mins from the centre of whitby by car.
Will definitely book again

Excellent accommodation down not disappoint at all, the local pubs do brilliant food and all local attractions are within easy reach.

The Cabin is fantastic! Very clean, very well appointed with all you need. In April we were not cold once in cabin as the heating system is very efficient indeed. Beds were comfortable, we think the two single beds pushed together is a bit strange, why not just have a proper double bed?
The site is quiet being set in the woods, however not busy when we stayed, so maybe different in summer months.
With a car, easy and fast access to Whitby, pubs and super market. There is a path around the site we only discovered on the last evening, we were not informed about by reception, however it was a great path to walk for a little excersise. The parking area was great enough for 3 cars really!
Very good communication throughout. We thought cleaning costs based on the days you stay is excessive, makes no difference, and if your clean and tidy people, changing one set of bedding and a general clean wouldn't take more that 2hours! Apart from that we had the most enjoyable time. Book pubs early as the are busy. Food and standards are high. Postgate inn for lunch. Horseshoe hotel great for evening meal

Thank you so much for a wonderful stay! A gorgeous lodge in a perfect location!

A truly amazing cabin in a great location. The deco and cleanliness was fantastic, it was so modern and well equipped. It felt like a really special place to stay and was so great being in the middle of the woods.
The caravan park itself was very clean and quiet, lovely trails around the woods on the doorstep and a great place for our kids to run around
Only 10 minutes to Whitby by car
We’re already looking at dates to come back again, had a really lovely break away!

Beautiful cabin in wonderful surroundings. Ideal for a family that doesn’t want the business of being in the centre of Whitby. Excellent location to explore more of North Yorkshire
