Lovely decor

No hairdresser, loose toilet seat, ironing board kept tipping when using

The location and open plan living area. Extremely comfy beds. Nice layout

There was no breakfast.

Please see my comments on Trip Advisor regarding this stay.

First class accommodation

Really nice property and would definitely return

All good

We loved this beautiful apartment. Stylish and modern with a cosy feel. Excellent kitchen and very comfortable beds.

Everything was perfect.

Self catering

On arrival at 4 pm the flat was cold and there was no hot water. The boiler was broken. I managed to fix the boiler and got heating and hot water.
In the bathroom the bath plug mechanism was broken. You had to lift out the plug. In addition the bathroom radiator was leaking. We've have left one of the kitchen bowls catching the drips otherwise the tiling will be ruined.
In lounge there were only 3 seats. One of us pensioners had to sit on the dining room table chair or the beanbag; that was fun getting up. We also noted at scratch on the wall above the radiator. I've taken a photo.
No hair dryer.

Clean & lovely facilities

Settee uncomfortable & only room for 3 people when apartment sleeps 4

Great property, we’ll set out and spacious.
The bed was awful. Stayed 5 nights and came home needing a good nights sleep.
Apart from that I would recommend

Again, it was the bed

Very comfortable

The distance from the beach was much further away than advertised, would not of booked this property if I had known

The apartment was in the perfect location, beautifully decorated and was lovely and spacious. It was lovely and clean with excellent facilities (including a dishwasher and a washing machine).

There were some teething problems when we arrived-
1) the parking is not an available space for the apartment, it is just on street parking so first come first serve, this is not detailed in the advertisement and was a bit of a disappointment as I filtered by parking space;
2) the lock boxes were not labelled on the outside so we had to check all 3 to find the right one and the label for Fauna was missing, plus the locks were a bit fiddly and took a bit to get in;
3) the remote for the TV was not out so we had to try 3 different ones and change the batteries;
4) the radiators in the bedrooms were not on and there were no instructions for them so that took a while to figure out which in winter was a bit disappointing.

Although there were initial issues collecting the keys, we were helped to do so by both the H&S service and the owner. Thank you.

Heating was not very good in the lounge

The location was excellent for Whitby Town & the harbour, and also for easy access to the main road out of Whitby.
The property was lovely - very spacious, very clean and very well equipped.

The only (minor) downsides were lack of access to the WiFi - despite being given updated details it wouldn't let us access the router; and the property was somewhat chilly on arrival as the thermostat was left at 13 - but that was easy to turn up and it didn't take long to warm up the property.

Beautiful flat type property. Very modern, extremely clean. Allowed dogs however no allowing us to bath them would have been an issue if staying a week.

The insurance scam. You really need to add that to the cost upfront. Sending a message giving a choice of £250 upfront deposit isn’t a pleasant.

Excellent finish to renovation work, nice selection of furniture and fittings

Parking. The info provided states on street on first come first served basis. Didnt say it was virtually impossible to get a space close to the property. An explanation of the local parking disc scheme would have helped
Instructions about appliances would have been helpful. Online brochure goes into tv in depth, nothing about induction hon
The request for a returnable deposit also seemed a bit off, we were almost afraid to do anything in apartment incase it prevented deposit return
Lack of bathroom blind off putting as were comments about what temperature expected from boiler

Everything except not as advertised ie no bath which was the reason we booked due to health issues also no patio ground floor and toiletries as stated although that wasn't the main issue like the bath

Lack of clarity on Facilities and also in extra admin costs and deposit

Property was clean and tidy. Comfortable with everything we needed for a 2 night stay. Great pub 5mins walking distance.

Although we were a party of 3 the sitting area needed an extra chair, not suitable for a party of 4. When taking a shower you are on view to the road above. My husband and I were very uncomfortable with this view. Please install a blind.

Beds comfortable, the kitchen equipment good

Checkout at 10am on a Sunday, bit early for us - wasn't ideal. It was on the booking confirmation, but wasn't clear at the point of booking.

Comfy clean and tidy

Paying a waiver that should have been included in the price. Tried paying them online which kept failing. After many attempts it went through. Day of arrival the pin number we were given didn't work. So had to phone them to get correct pin. They said the waiver hadn't been paid. Fortunately we had a copy of their invoice with us and had to email them a copy. This process took 10-15mins. Also i thought i had booked a ground floor accommodation which turned out to be the top floor. As my companion is disabled and the stairs were a bit of a challenge. Finally the handle on the inside shower door was missing.

Lovely flat, spacious and great location.

Nothing!

Beautiful apartment

This was well equipped. Was comfortable and had everything required all fantastic quality !

There was nothing to dislike it was fantastic

Good location, just a 5 or 10 minute walk to the centre. The flat is clean (except for the forgotten bread) with everything you could need, it has washing up liquid, kitchen paper, even dishwasher tablets. WiFi was good. On road parking nearby was scarce. Mattress ok, but as in most places the pillows are terrible.

We booked 2 nights through Booking.com, but the company who owns the property is 'Host & Stay'. They sent me 12 emails before we arrived including a one about a returnable 'security deposit' of £250 plus £10 administration fee. They offered a £25 'waiver' as an alternative. One or the other is compulsory. I made the mistake of reading some of the emails about damage to the property and it was terrifying, I was booking a 2 night stay, but they were talking about structural damage and water damage. I had no time to cancel, so I paid for the waiver. At checkout I was sent more emails including downloading a checkout guide ?. So much for a relaxing trip. Part of the checkout is to strip the bed of bedding, I had already paid more than I thought I was going to, now they want me to prepare the flat for the next occupant ?. We booked 3 properties over the 2 week period (some through booking.com and some through Airbnb) and no other property asked for a security deposit or to remove bedding, we always leave places clean and tidy when we leave. We have booked property all over the world and never been asked for deposit. I will not be using Host & Stay again and will be complaining to Booking.com about warning of extra charges. I didn't like the blue moldy bread in the cupboard either.

High quality finishings with home from home comfort. Great location easily walkable to town

Nothing to dislike, property is great. Only point to note is the key safe is a little temperamental one of the buttons doesn’t work well, we managed to open it after several attempts

Apartment was very clean . Great location and easy to access.

When booked it says it has a bath but it didn't.

The aoartment was excellent,

We had trouble with the lock box the numbers were sticking it took us over an hour to gain access the only way to contact anyone was via the booking agent there were numerous calls and flat phone batteries did not make it easy, we were charged a £25 waver which was none refundable however we were highly delighted with the property
