Fox’s Hideout has a welcoming living room with exceptional sea views, the perfect place to relax with your loved ones. There are two large comfortable sofas, a flat screen TV and coffee tables. Enjoy your morning cuppa or get lost in a good book in this peaceful space.
Fully equipped for self-catering stays, the kitchen diner has everything you could need to prepare meals. This bright and open space is located just off from the living room so it’s the social hub of the apartment where you can enjoy quality time together, whilst appreciating the breathtaking sea views.
When staying at Fox’s Hideout, you’ll find two bedrooms. The master bedrooms boasts a comfy queen bed, while the second bedroom is home to a bunk bed with a double on the bottom and single on the top. Small pops of colour are also added to the otherwise neutral spaces. The spacious master bedroom is also home to an ensuite bathroom with a shower.

Continue along the lively road until you reach the beautiful, blue flag West Cliff Beach which is lined with idyllic beach huts. At the other end of Pier Road, you’ll notice the swing bridge which sits over the River Esk.
Over the bridge, you’ll find yourself on the East bank which is full of narrow medieval streets dotted with boutiques, pubs and markets selling local produce. Climb the famous 199 steps up to the Church of Saint Mary. You can also discover the mythical ruins of Whitby Abbey, which was the inspiration for Bram Stoker’s gothic novel ‘Dracula’.
Step outside of Whitby and you’ll uncover a haven of woodland and moorland. Whitby forms part of the North York Moors National Park so it’s the perfect place for long walks.
Whitby train station is just a short walk away so villages and towns along the North Yorkshire coast can easily be reached via rail. There’s also a taxi rank in close proximity to the train station.
There are plenty of bus routes throughout Whitby. Hop on the X4 and you can visit beautiful coastal villages like Sandsend, Runswick Bay and Staithes. The X93 travels along the coast to Scarborough. The 95 route features plenty of quaint villages, such as Grosmont and Lealholm.
Guests have access to the full apartment. The keys to the apartment are accessed via a secure key safe and full details will be provided shortly before your arrival date.
A parking permit is provided, allowing for free parking in a nearby car park. Please note that this operates on a first come, first served basis.
Please note that dogs are not permitted to stay at Fox’s Hideout.
Fab location, close enough to get anywhere. Awesome views.
/<br/>We had to sleep in the car with three people for a night because the accommodation didn’t give us the key locker code in time and weren’t reachable. We’re 1,5 months later and we still didn’t get a refund. I tried to reach out at least 4 times and it is getting ridiculous. It also wasn’t clean, the fake eyelashes of the previous guest was still lying on the bathroom cabinet. Wouldn’t recommend
great location.<br/>good communication<br/>comfortable place
Location was fantastic which is ideal for visiting Whitby.<br/>The facilities state there is a smart TV where you can stream by signing into your accounts however this is not the case. The TV isn't connected to the internet and isn't smart so this should be changed in the wording.
was in great location <br/>very clean and everything you could need for a stay
Position in town close but quite <br/>Nice and clean and good layout<br/>Beds only a standard double <br/>Towels a bit small
Fantastic location, will be back.
Large apartment - quite modern<br/>The lights on the stairs in the public areas leading up to the property did not work - we reported this but nothing was done and earlier guest had reported the same problem.<br/>Also Host and Stay have a hidden charge of £10 for admin of the damage bond which is not mentioned in the original price - you don't find out about this until you are completing the booking, so you can't take it into account when you are making initial comparisons.
Wonderful stay at a lovely apartment. Absolutely amazing views - especially if the abbey from the bedrooms. Lovely and clean and as great if not better than photos
Location, views, spacious, cosy . Sea view from kitchen and living room Abbey views from bedrooms. Clean and comfortable. Nice Bathroom with bath and en-suite with shower to main bedroom. Relaxing after lots of walking around Whitby.<br/>Dishwasher not working, fridge and oven could have been cleaner but not awful. Needs more plates and chairs (sleeps 4 but only 2 of each). Interesting choice of Mugs/cups! ? could do with a hairdryer and the power lead for radio in kitchen.
Bardzo czysto , wszytko by?o dost?pne . Widok z okna by? rewelacyjny .
The location, Whitby is a lovely place.<br/>Insufficient plates and chairs for a group of four.
Loved the views. Loved the location. Loved the proximity to Pizza West!<br/>Didn’t like the fact that there was no hairdryer, it’s listed on the site. Even after pointing it out to the staff one wasn’t forthcoming. Didn’t like the fact that I couldn’t get the tv to work even after subscribing to NetFlix and got no help sorting it out. I know we didn’t go on holiday to watch TV but it’s nice after a day of walking and sight seeing to be able to relax in front of something in the evening.
Location great and fantastic views and parking nearby plenty of coat hanging space.<br/>Fully stocked kitchen with thoughtful extras. <br/>Wasn't too hot or too cold. The main bedroom was nicely furnished and a good size. <br/>Key safe was easy to use. <br/>Had a great time. Just needs a bit of tlc.<br/>The shared entrance and stairs smelt and neglected. <br/>The flat needs a coffee table in the front room as you don't have a dinner table for 4. <br/>The bathroom and toilet need peddle bins.<br/>It would be better if the shower head was fitted over the bath. Shower in ensuite was quite mouldy and shower head was leaking. The 2nd double bed room was small and neglected and disappounting for a couple. The bedding didn't match the pillows or the room. Dishwasher didn't work. Shower was quite mouldy and kitchen cupboards a bit sticky. <br/>The beds could have been a bit comfier..
Lovely location, fantastic communication from the hosts. Would highly recommend.
Spacious, clean and tidy with great view and good location<br/>TV
Spacious clean lovely views<br/>Bit of a funny smell when we arrived sprayed air freshener and opened windows <br/>Was a bit of a hike to the town which was fine for us but wouldn’t be for people who struggle with walking distances especially back from the town as all uphill.
disappointed with host and Stay they sent far too many emails(over 20) for one booking which was confusing as I missed t
The flat was very clean and tidy, it was in a good location and it was good value for money!<br/>The dishwasher was broken and the stool in the bedroom had one broken leg.
The location was very good, and the accommodation was comfortable and clean. There were excellent views from all the windows and we really enjoyed our stay.<br/>WiFi didn't work. Also perhaps our fault for not doing it properly but could only get BBC on the TV. Lack of lamps/bulbs was also a bit inconvenient.
Breakfast n\a location reasonable<br/>Not as advertised! Broken furniture, broken dishwasher , dirty oven and grill, fridge smelly freezer full of old food, cupboards full of food, dirty cups, broken bedside light and worst of all could only get one channel on tv, rang helpline got no help! This list could go on and on!
Great location, very convenient for beach and town. Clean apartment with lovely views of the beach and Abbey.
Really good location and fab views of the abbeys from the bedrooms
The property and amenities where all as described and well maintained. The property is in a great location to walk into Whitby town center and has some lovely views of the coast line from the Kitchen / living room windows. <br/>Was a ideal property for a family break and we would return - Thank you
Location excellent <br/>2 bathrooms were great<br/>Would have like the kitchen table to have 2 more chairs for a family of 4
The apartment was great really clean and in a great location. Only thing that did us was we got sent the wrong code to get into the apartment key safe. But that was cleared up and resolved quickly
