The Space
Harold Villa is a vibrant and stunning holiday home in the heart of Whitby. The property boasts five ensuite bedrooms that can comfortably accommodate ten guests for a wonderful getaway.

At the beating heart of the home is the kitchen, dining and living room. Dominating the kitchen is the centre island which features beautiful granite worktops. Behind the island is the main kitchen area which offers an oven, hob, fridge and freezer, microwave, toaster and kettle. You’ll also find an abundance of drawers and cupboards for all of the cutlery and dinnerware you could need. Between the kitchen and the main living space is the dining area which has space to sit all guests comfortably.

With a sofa, stylish armchairs, a padded foot stool and flat screen TV, the living area is the ideal place for relaxing evenings. You'll also find two additional living areas at Harold Villa so you'll have plenty of space to unwind. Both luxuriously decorated, these areas are bright and welcoming so you can relax and take in the peace and tranquillity of the property.

Harold Villa boasts five spacious bedrooms. All with comfortable king size beds, you’ll find two bedrooms on the first floor, two on the second floor and one on the third floor. Each bedroom also contains a modern ensuite for added convenience.

A separate family bathroom can be found halfway between the ground floor and first floor. This space boasts a walk-in shower, wash basin and WC.

Head outside and you'll find an enclosed front garden containing a lawned area with an apple tree in the centre. Outdoor furniture is also provided so you can enjoy the fresh sea air during the warmer months.

Host & Stay are committed to our owners that their homes are protected during guest bookings. For this reason, we require all our guests to transfer a Damage Deposit (refundable, subject to an administration charge) or, to purchase an Accidental Damage Waiver which will cover you for up to £500.00 of accidental damage during your stay.

Neighborhood
Harold Villa sits on the West side of town, off Skinner Street which is popular with tourists. All of Whitby is within walking distance, with multiple cafes, restaurants and bars within a few hundred yards. The Magpie Cafe on the quayside is less than a ten-minute walk down through the quaint old Whitby ginnels, past multiple old fishermen's cottages. Straight up from Skinner street is Whitby West Cliff with views across the sea and access to the blue flag beach below.

Walk over the swing bridge which sits over the River Esk and you’ll find yourself on the East bank. Walk along Church Street and you’ll wind up at the East bank where you’ll find narrow medieval streets dotted with boutiques, pubs and fish restaurants. Climb the famous 199 steps up to the Church of Saint Mary. You can also discover the renowned ruined Whitby Abbey, which was the inspiration for Bram Stoker’s gothic novel ‘Dracula’.

Step outside of Whitby and you’ll uncover a haven of woodland and moorland. Whitby forms part of the North York Moors National Park so it’s the perfect place for long walks.

Getting Around
Harold Villa is located close to the centre of Whitby.

Whitby train station is less than a mile away so villages and towns along the North Yorkshire coast can easily be reached via rail. There’s also a taxi rank in close proximity to the train station.

There are plenty of bus routes throughout Whitby. Hop on the X4 and you can visit beautiful coastal villages like Sandsend, Runswick Bay and Staithes. The X93 travels along the coast to Scarborough. The 95 route features plenty of quaint villages, such as Grosmont and Lealholm.

Guests have access to the full property. The keys to Harold Villa are accessed via a key safe box, and full details will be provided prior to check in.

Private on-site parking is available for up to four vehicles depending on size.

One large dog, or two small dogs are welcome to stay at Harold Villa per reservation.
