Lop Hall has three cosy bedrooms on the first floor. The master bedroom is a tranquil king size room with an en suite shower room. The second bedroom is also a king.

Take the oldest functioning cliff lift in the UK down to the promenade and you’ll arrive at the 208-metre pier which stretches out into the sea. The long sandy shores are overlooked by colourful boutique beach huts and high cliffs tower in the distance.

Danby is located 16 miles from the seaside town of Whitby on the North Yorkshire coast. Popular for its Blue Flag West Cliff beach and promenade, the whole family can enjoy a day on the golden sands. Head to Pier Road, you’ll find fun arcades and plenty of fish restaurants where you can sample the catch of the day.

The other side of Whitby is full of narrow, medieval streets dotted with boutiques and pubs. Climb the famous 199 steps up to the Church of Saint Mary. You can also discover the renowned ruined Whitby Abbey, which was the inspiration for Bram Stoker’s gothic novel ‘Dracula’.

The market town of Guisborough can be found ten miles away. In the centre of the town, you’ll find a charming, cobbled high street which is lined with shops, cafes and pubs. Visit the English Heritage site of Gisborough Priory which dates back to the 12th century. Here you’ll find the dramatic skeleton of the 14th century church's east and outstanding Gothic architecture.

Beautiful scenery and lovely house.
WiFi was very intermittent and at multiple times just would not work leaving us with no signal as it was as very remote. Many of the contacts in the book were out of date. Initially we were told the admin fee for the deposit would be refunded as there was no mention of it in the booking. This has since changed but they would not honour the refund of the admin fee even though they said they would. Overall the person we messaged to here rude and left a bad taste in our mouth to what could have been a lovely stay as the house was lovely.

Fabulous location and house. Beautiful views. Very well stocked kitchen.
Nothing!

Absolutely beautiful scenery and location. We felt so relaxed and rested sat by the fire looking across the moors. We enjoyed a moorland walk everyday and loved coming back to the cosy cottage in a private setting. The kids loves their bedroom and many and adventure was had by them. Perfect lo action to celebrate my mums birthday before we head back to Australia !

Amazing cottage in beautiful surroundings

A truly fabulous location with wonderful views, you can walk straight onto the moors. Ideally for a family with a dog. We will definitely be staying here again.
It’s felt like home from home with all the extra luxuries you want for a country break.

Great property, stunning location.

Beautiful home in the most stunning location. Perfect weekend stay to relax and enjoy the peace and quiet.

Wonderful cottage in an idyllic location. Very well equipped and space well thought out. Never tire of the view and watching the birds in the morning was lovely - especially the resident pheasant! Can highly recommend.

What a wonderful house! So well equipped with kitchen things, toys, books and home comforts. We had such a lovely week. The views from the house are amazing and just hanging out there is a joy. We also found it very easy to get to both the coast and the moors. The location was excellent for family activities and the bakery, shop and pub all in walking distance was an added bonus. Can't wait to go back!

Stunning spot for a remote getaway, but not too far from popular tourist destinations of Whitby and Staithes. Beautiful surroundings with lovely garden too, we really enjoyed our stay and would recommend

We had a wonderful family break. The inside of the cottage is absolutely beautiful with everything you could need. The location is stunning, walks right from the gate of the cottage onto the moors. I would thoroughly recommend Lop Hall!
