Excellent location right in the centre of Whitby. Cottage is equipped to a high standard and very comfortable.
Parking space a bonus even though it's a bit tricky to squeeze into.

The property was well situated and comfortable and an added bonus it had its own designated parking space

It could have done with some clocks in the apartment and maybe plastic crockery if you have children not serious additions

Absolutely fantastic place in the most superb location, beautiful views and cosy interior.
Be cautious if you have accessibility issues as it is on the top of a hill with lots of stairs. Not a problem for us and meant it had the most incredible view of the Abbey.
Would 100% recommend and would like to go back!

The location is perfect; really central but tucked back a little so that it’s very quiet. There are beautiful views of the abbey from the windows. The house is big enough to be comfortable inside and the terrace is a perfect place to sit in the sunshine in the morning. The kitchen is well stocked so that you could easily cook if you want to and the owners leave a welcome basket and things to make hot drinks so that you can relax immediately. The parking space is a bonus in such a central location. The owners are incredibly welcoming and helpful and are available to contact directly if you have any specific questions or requests.

Paradise View is the perfect name for this cottage! My family and I had a wonderful time sitting on the terrace in the sunshine, looking at the beautiful view. It was so convenient as it really couldn’t be any more central, but at the same time was very peaceful and quiet.
The house was very clean, a great size, and had everything we needed. There’s also a back yard for drying laundry. Really appreciated the sweets and snacks left for us and the online guide was very handy.
The open plan layout meant we struggled a bit with our toddler going up the stairs.
The main down side was having to communicate with Host & Stay. We wanted to negotiate the 10am checkout time, and also the tv didn’t work, but we just got automated/copy paste replies. Very unfriendly and robotic. We use Airbnb a lot and it’s the first time we’ve experienced this kind of communication. As soon as we met the owners of the cottage (who are around most days doing jobs) everything was fine, they are SO nice and helpful.

A brilliant location, just a very short walk to the centre of Whitby.
The accommodation is lovely and very clean.
The steps to the property a little steep but fine if you are fit and well .... helped by parking spot at the location.
Well worth the effort going up the steps to see the views of the Abbey from the windows ??

Good: Nice property, great location. Bad: Pet hair, there were pet hairs all over the place even in the bedroom which caused a sleepless night due to allergies. Also a check out text at 8am on the morning of the departure wasn't helpful as this also disturbed sleep ahead of a long journey home.

A lovely place in an awesome location. Could not have gone smoother with check in and time In the cottage.

Pay attention to the parking instructions otherwise you will end up over shooting or in an adjacent car park. Nice to have a free dedicated space so close to the harbour.

Will get there again :-)

Paradise View is just that - a little haven of paradise in the middle of Whitby, with an amazing view across the harbour to the ruined Abbey, which can be seen from all front-facing windows (even better views from the main bedrooms upstairs).
The layout of the property is brilliant, with a lovely balcony to the front of the property and an enclosed yard to the rear.
The welcome box was extremely thoughtful (even down to a jar of dog biscuits). The bottle of fizz was even more welcome by the adults, while the children devoured the biscuits. Everything has been given extreme thought and every possible piece of kitchen equipment was provided.
The property is extremely relaxing and very quiet considering you are a 30 second walk to the side of the harbour.
Bedding, towels and the complementary toiletries were extremely high quality and the two towels per person was more than adequate.
The addition of a parking space in the middle of Whitby is a life saver. We never moved the car for the whole weekend. Additional parking can be found in the car park next door to the property, but accessed via Cliff Street (not easy to find in a car with a SatNav). This is extremely handy as you can pass cases up and over the wall to the step to the property. The charges are £5.50 for 6 hours (extensions permitted), only charged 9am-6am. So time it right and you don't have to pay for parking!
This is a little gem in the heart of Whitby and a perfect get-a-way location. If you get the chance to book the property DO - you certainly won't be disappointed.

We could not have been in a better location for all that whitby town centre offers. The views were amazing. The house was lovely and clean and presented to a high standard. Once your car was parked in the allocated spot we felt no need to move it. There is also a car park right next door which if you have additional cars its perfect.
