The property is very close to the main high street of Whitby.

There is minimal parking, wardens are incredibly keen which made loading/unloading very difficult. This is a dog friendly property but you have to walk through a shared garden with a large Akita dog that barks constantly on your journeys through.

We'd stayed here before when I believe it was brand new is less than 5 minutes walk to the town and in a great location not too much of a hill to get to the apartment which whitby is obviously very hilly so was alot easier

We liked everything the extractor fan didn't seem to work very well so a little steamy after a shower but not a big issue... again carpet could do with a vax but apart from that it's perfect for couples (obviously to be expected with a seaside destination ) neighbours at No1 are great people and friendly always nice to talk to on the way out

Loved it all house, location, the Wi-Fi,the whole 3 story’s to our selves.

Free beer ,gin and wine

Clean comfortable location

None of the little extras like tea coffee washing up liquid 1 very small loo roll didn’t get info were it was so couldn’t find it round the back. I’m disabled wouldn’t let me in early I think 4 is late check in then took over 2 hours to get the owner to put the heating on it was cold.

Location and cleanliness

The extremely noisy and inconsiderate neighbours in adjoining accommodation

Good location clean and comfortable ?,

Weather on Tuesday otherwise ?

Extremely clean and well equipped. Fantastic location

Compact, clean, central, parking.

The accommodation is cold. The central heating is controlled remotely by the owner. It was on when i arrived and warmed the room. I assumed it would be on a timer during my stay but, long story short, l was told that I would have to request to have it turned on. After a lot of over and back, I ended up using the tiny fan heater in the apartment. Not appropriate during a cold spell.

Location was the best thing about my stay

Check in was a nightmare. Granted I hadn't read through the full guide they emailed me but I had the address on the confirmation. After parking outside the address, 90 mins and 4 phone calls (including an email with a picture of the front door i was outside of) someone come and took me to the correct address at the back of the property. Not once did any member of staff tell me I'm at the wrong door (there are 2 number 4s)The £250 deposit you have to put down is a joke and to then wait upto 10 days after to get it back is terrible. If you are over 6f3ins tall you won't be able to stand up straight due to the low ceiling in the property

Comfortable bed lovely towels clean and quiet

Shower could have been more powerful but not a problem

Clean and comfortable

Needs a better shower but was good enough for a few days

For the price I paid, I can’t really complain.
It does the job, and the location is very good.

Very nice clean little place and also in a nice quiet location

Central location.Very clean.

Warm, clean, central location, dog-friendly, WiFi good on first day. Lots of towels, comfortable bed

Only one Parking space available, but luckily I arrived in time to claim it. Cooking equipment is minimal so not ideal for people who want to cook anything other than basic meals (which suited me fine). No WiFi for much of the time.

Nice clean cozy accomodation, bed a bit hard but you can't have it all.

Being asked as soon as payment went across that I needed to pay a 250 pound deposit for any damages,or a one off payment of 25 pound to cover damages up to 500 pound, surely insurance would have been in with total cost, having to pay 18 for parking as there was no parking,WiFi not so good.

Perfect location, very clean and comfortable. I couldn't have asked for anything else made the weekend perfect!

Had issues with the WiFi

Location

Studio apartment turned off to be a bedsit and no cooker and over priced at £186 for two nights

Great location, lovely little studio flat with good facilities. Great for a few nights in Whitby.

None of the bins has been emptied when we arrived. Main bin was full as was toilet bin. As had to empty all these ourselves.

Room was lovely perfect location

Bed not very comfortable

It was close to the centre of Whitby. Comfortable couple sized studio.
Clean and attractive decor.

Difficult to find at first. Directions unclear.
WiFi was unreliable at times. There were a large number of flies on the door to the outside which meant they came into the studio - unless time was spent getting them out.

Location

When we was looking for a place to stay, we look at a property with a garden as we had a dog.
When we arrived we found out that we was not allowed to use the garden area.
This was very disappointing to us as we would have sat outside.
This was not mentioned in the description for the property.
If I know before I went I would have looked for another property.

The property was clean, well decorated and an excellent base to stay and explore Whitby and other areas. Nice size. Great location too

Going through the back gate across other peoples gardens who had big dogs which barked aggressively at us as we tried to get in and out of the property.

The location was fine,
Room was clean, with all facilities in the kitchen/ bathroom..
Access was Ok

The main stipulation was, that afer the booking was accepted,we were informed that an extra damage deposit of 250 pound
is required upon arrival or a damage insurance of 25 pounds (none refunable) on tope of the initial booking!
This effectively increased the cost of the stay from what had been advertised !
As it was too late to start looking elewhere we reluctatly paid this extra charge !
A single (Small) wardrobe , only large enough for 1 x persons clothing, it also snagged the carpet, we had to lean against it to open the door.
Tried many time to get the TV to work, it kept saying no internet, after findiing a swiching on the internet, the TV stiil would'nt work,.
Only one beside cabinet on one side of the bed.
There was a parking spot 'Maked'' No 4 Pricess Place, but there was also a ''House with No 4 Princess place'' so no parking !
Shower curtain, not a screen or door, very unconfortuble showering (we thought curtains had gone out a few years ago)

Cleanliness and quietness.

Felt very uncomfortable with the neighbours who's front door and garden we had to walk past. Obviously the holiday home users are an issue for them. Had the gate shut in my face as I followed to access our accommodation.

perfect location. lovely and clean would definitely recommend

only little thing was the 4pm check in

Expensive for the property, perhaps warning about the neighbours dog.

Right in the center of Whitby great location minutes walk to the town... Nice little apartment... were looking at coming back for a week over Christmas... although this apartment might be a stretch as there is no oven or hob top to cook on so will need to plan out food a little but 99% of the time we eat out and have a simple breakfast anyway...

The neighbours were lovely aswell... we knew the rules of its not a communal garden before hand!

There is parking outside but it's first come first serve with another house tbh we didn't want to irritate anyone and it's £6-9 for 24hr parking 5 minutes walk away at the co op near the harbour... there is also a 1hr max stay just on the corner which came in handy for unloading and loading the car

We already knew about the ceiling heights being low I'm 6"3 and tbh it wasn't too much of a hinderance

The stay was easy, clean and close to town . The room was small but had everything in that you needed.

It was a great location very close to the town centre.

Grear for just a couple of nights for a couple who maybe jst want to have a cofee and cerael toast or simiar and be out most of the time,

It was very clean adn comfortable

There were no arm chairs or sofa, so we had to sit on the bed to watch the TV.

We couldn't connect to the wifi despite the password being available. (this wasn't an issue for us but may have been for someone with very little data,)

It was dod friendly, however there is no where suitable close by to let the dog of for a late night wee. The place had an enclosed garden which we weren't allowed to use. So we had to go out onto the street to allow them an early morning wee. This wasn't clear on the infrmation and may be useful for others bringing dogs.

Loved the location. Peaceful too. Cosy. Everything we needed.

Bit tricky to find. As tucked away behind a back garden gate. Two number 4s. One a Town House at the front then the studio behind. At first we thought we were double booked. Bit stressful.

Good location but the ceiling in the studio apartment is a little low. Anyone over 6 feet tall may find it uncomfortable.

The location is prefect for exploring Whitby, just a short walk from the centre. The place is clean and comfortable, just what you need for a weekend away.

it wasn’t clear that there was a townhouse and a studio both with the same number, which back onto each other, it needs a sign to clearly separate the townhouse to the front and the studio only accessible from gate entrance around the back, also it shouldn’t state parking as we was unable to park during our whole stay.

A fantastic little hideaway close to Whitby centre.
Loved everything about it, clean, well decorated and had a homely feel to it. The online guide was very helpful and made communication with the host directly unnecessary. All the pubs and restaurants were in short walking distance. We managed to park for both nights and days without any issue, once a short walk and the second night in one of the 2 reserved spots.
Some suggestions:
Air fryer for cooking perhaps
A better shower
Maybe a small sofa or chair to relax in.

We would use this place again for sure.

The studio was cosy and microwave toaster and kettle were enough for a few days. The location of the studio was great too & my daughter loved the comfy bed. Bathroom was nice and clean.

Few stains on the carpet, internet didn't work and some stains on the bedding also.

Accommodation was very nice, local to town and beach.
Ideal for the 2 of us and our dog

Although the accommodation is dog friendly ,the exterior and approach to the property is not!
When we left yesterday the one resident was quite rude that I hadn't immediately shut and locked the gate .... I had a bag in one hand and was holding my dog on lead in the other whilst waiting for my partner to lock property up.

The location was excellent, just a short walk from the centre of Whitby, and the property was very quiet and peaceful

Nothing, apart from the shower was a bit under powered.

Amazing bolt hole for the weekend, could more clear on the use of the small garden.

Great location for town centre - very clean and tidy and very comfortable - we will be back.

Parking a little restricted but not the worse ive seen

Brilliant location and car parking space a plus. Easy walking distance to everything but tucked away in a quiet spot.

Got very hot in the room and very tiny shower with no head height.

Great location and managed to get the free parking at the front of the property.

The shower is pretty tight and I’m only 5ft1. any person in the 6ft range would struggle. Also the water pressure was quite low on it so wasn’t very powerful.
Did miss not having a sofa or a couple of comfy chairs to sit on whilst watching TV.

Lovely little bolt hole. Clean, tidy, comfy bed. Would stay again! Also SO responsive to messages, even on NYE!

very nice place, very clean and newly decorated. lovely and warm in the icy winter.
only problem was the house at the end. They kept locking the latch across when we were unloading and loading up our car. so each time we had to keep feeling for bolt to unlock it. strange behaviour?
plus the communal garden is owned by same house so noone is allowed in it. shame as we brought 3 little dogs. However managed to take them for wees on the lane where we parked outside.

location is good, parking is the problem, for self catering I think it's a bit pricey

Location

WiFi intermittent, bed had a hump down the centre, we felt like we were going to fall out of bed, there is a resident dog living at #1 and we had to run the gauntlet of the Akita

Great location, very clean apartment on ground floor
Would be happy to stay again.

We had a dog and there was no garden but as we knew this before we booked it was not a problem.

Location was spot on, all amenities accessible

A disgrace at the start. U acted on the information provided to myself ie emails and texts, I was provided with 2 different addresses then I spoke to a lad who was ignorant and not helpful to say the least.
Upstairs above us there was lots ov noise banging etc until midnight and throught the day on at least 3 out of 4 days.
Dogs were constantly barking in the yard yet its hypercritical to ask us to be wary of dogs yet the neighbour in the 1st property was very ignorant.

Everything inside, the colour, decor and surprise tea/coffe/milk.

The key safe box outside on the wall. We followed the instructions to the latter, but tried to get the key safe open 5 times. By this point we got very annoyed as nothing happened. We then knocked on a neighbour's door and they got it open, but said a number of other guests had the same issue. Maybe it needs to be changed to a digital safe.

Clean and super easy to get in touch with host and stay!

We had a fantastic stay and would definitely stay with them again!

central location.

although there was a garden immediately outside the entrance to the studio it was not available to our dog. In fact it had 2 dogs belonging to immediate neighbours in it during daylight hours. They certainly were not very friendly towards our dog! This makes the claim that the property is dog friendly difficult to accept.

Great location, walking distance from everything and would definitely stay again

Absolutely fabulous! Perfect location - less then a 5 minute walk to Whitby town but in a lovely quiet area. The room was super clean, the bed was super comfortable, off street parking, all communication has been really quick and easy, just overall brilliant! I would defo recommend and book again when we return to Whitby.

Great place to stay if you want a trip to Whitby

Well located, clean, quiet and good level of facilities.

good location

was Dog friendly, but no where outside for dog to go. no Fire escape if there was a fire! need to stipulate , it’s really not dog friendly

Central location. Well equipped property with milk and hot drink provisions provided. Hairdryer, iron, ironing board, toaster, kettle, fan, toiletries. Very clean. Comfortable bed.
Great communication from hosts.
Ceiling height may be a challenge if over 6ft 2. Wifi intermittent. If visiting at weekend or peak season, on road parking will be very limited but car parks nearby. Property situated up a hill.

For a studio apartment it didn’t feel cramped or on top. The apartment is tastefully decorated and there is plenty of cutlery plates glasses etc we stayed during 38 degree temperatures and it was so so so cool cos it’s kind of built into the hill which was lovely and much appreciated.

There wasn’t any dog bowls provided which generally there is in dog friendly properties. Mainly it was fantastic but there was 2 big bug bears for me - it was difficult to find and as reviews before me said the neighbours had to help us find it. There is a gate where a sign could easily be put up. furthermore the neighbours have a dog and the access to the property is through their actual garden - although I appreciated taking my dog I’m not sure it’s necessarily fair on the people and dog who live there as residents of Whitby to have to deal with tourists and their dog coming in and out and stressing their pooch out in their garden and own home. Seems like the owner is making money and unecessarily allowing dogs whilst the neighbouring Whitby residents and their dog are somewhat suffering which seems unfair.

Good location great access to town centre. Free on street parking.

Fridge had been turned off so was covered in water. Bedding was dirty with hairs. Pillows were very uncomfortable. WiFi was inconsistent and mostly unusable. The shower was tiny you couldn't be taller than 5 foot 6 to wash your hair. The TV didn't work most of the time and the signal was awful.

close to the centre were everything happens

we would have liked an oven and hob

Good location eventually when we found it neighbours brilliant helped us

nice room

milk in fridge which I wasn't expecting so had just been and bought some
very poor directions to the studio. We went to the main house and had to phone the emergency number when the key code didn't work. She told us to go round the back of the building through a locked gate to find it

Lovely stay in the best location! No cooking station so don’t do a shop before you go but has everything else you’ll need. Milk in fridge and teabags and coffee which was a lovely touch.

Locality to Whitby centre was great

Wi-Fi connection was poor. Disappointed we couldn’t let the dog out into the garden. it looked from the photos like we had access to a garden.

the right door number

location with easy access to the beach and coastal paths. Clean room & bathroom.

none

i loved the location and how it was just the right size with everything we needed. The free WiFi and good range of tv channels.

nothing

convenience to the town

parking was not available and we had to park too far away from the property

everything about the property it was ideal very clean and comfortable

i am not happy it say check out at 10 o’clock the cleaner arrived 9.35 we was getting ready to pack the car up and was going to wait untill 10 o’clock have a cup of tea and walk over to the church mass wasn’t untill 10.30 but I stead we had to walk around in the rain untill I could attend the mass the reason why I went there was for a carers break what my auntie paid for me and I was having a beautiful break untill they was rushing us out 25 minutes earlier, this has put me off returning back to host and stay break,

Was a really sweet studio, well cleaned and set up and in a great location close to Whitby. Unfortunately we found the mattress really uncomfortable though which ruined the stay. I think it's one of those memory foam ones, and I guess some people must like them, but we found it just incredibly hard and my husband couldn't sleep at all.

unfortunatley a couple of times we had no hot water , also on arrival there was a bag of rubbish left by the door , don't know if it came from the let or one of the neighbours , overall property was well presented , clean and quite , in a great location 3min walk to the main street of Whitby

Extremely clean and lots of cleaning products in the cupboards, all you need for making a breakfast and warming food with a bottle of milk left in the fridge.

The TV was a problem to use, it had Netflix etc but buffering so hard to watch also normal terrestrial TV was impossible to get.

central and comfortable

tV kept turning off. couldn’t get normal tv

Parking is available at harbour front and not outside the studio property. The studio property is accessed via a side gate off the main road on the hill where there are double yellow lines.

Great little ground floor studio flat in a good location. Communication with property was really good. Would return.

To park up near the property get there early, there us literally only 2 spaces all the rest have plaques saying which house number it is, whether they are legal plaques I don't know

Lovely little room in the heart of the town. The bed was comfortable and the room clean and we were provided with enough towels along with a hoover, ironing board/iron, hairdryer, kettle, microwave, first aid kit, dish soap, tea/coffee/sugar and milk, condiment sachets, antibac wipes, a TV and plenty of power outlets. Also a fan heater was available in case the radiator didn't respond in the room and there's a heated towel rack so no soggy towels after the first day!
We were a stone's throw from multiple shops, bars, takeaways, restaurants and a supermarket, and the seafront was a very short walk away.
We were comfortable during our stay and very happy with the studio. Great for a single traveller or couple.

There was nothing I disliked. However, be aware of a couple of things:
1) the Internet signal could be very weak/spotty, possibly due to being shared with the adjoining townhouse. Don't rely on being able to get Netflix working if you want to watch something in the evening. The Freeview TV was also very slow to respond in some cases, so be patient with it!
2) The shower is compact, and taller people (6ft+) may find the ceiling quite low.
3) Due to its attachment to a townhouse and residential properties, you will be able to hear others at times during your stay.
4) Parking is available but very limited, first come first served.

Clean and fresh and very welcoming.

Nothing

Location and free off street parking was great

Poor access to the property getting by adjoining property,s waste bins and garden furniture no hot water to hand basin and kitchen sink only through the power shower curtain pole broken which I did report bed was very hard didn't get much sleep through out our stay ?

It was amazing, very close to centre of Whitby, parking available, and walked into town, everything was well organized and straight forward.

Lovely little bolt hole in Whitby. Private entrance via a back gate. Very well equipped and quiet.

The location was great

The low ceiling in shower as my husband is tall and the dog in the garden

Location

Parking was very difficult to get in and out of and we couldn't use the garden as it was private.

How close it was to the centre of Whitby
The dog in the courtyard

Smelt a little damp
Could hear noise from above and opposite

Nice and clean, very good location.

It had a funny smell, like musty and damp.

Great location nice sudio

Not enough towels and tea towels for the stay

Excellent communication from Stay!

The location,facilities,cleanliness

I can’t nothing

Lovely place would 100% recommend, when we visit Whitby again this will be our first choice of accommodation.

Clean.
Location.
Nice gesture with milk.

Mattress and lack of storage

Good location lovely and clean . Plus we got a parking spot .

Wasn’t really anything not to like .

I have stopped at this apartment several times and never had an issue with privacy but I do think that the camera on number two is an issue as this is a breach of privacy to others around. I understand dogs not on the garden and my small dog benji was only on his lead saying hello to summer one afternoon and as it was a nice evening we were sat in the garden on the wall we never made a mess and benji at this time was in the apartment anyway. I love staying at this apartment but unfortunately it has put me off staying again due to being watched on the camera (it has a microphone on also) so they can hear conversations which I also think is a breach of our privacy on our holiday. Everything else was lovely and if this was not an issue I could put with it but I don’t fancy being watched by neighbours whilst I’m on holiday

See above

Had a great time in Whitby - and our little studio was a lovely place to stay.

The studio was perfect for a weekend getaway for two. We initially got confused about the entrance - would be helpful for a photograph of the back gate to be shared with future guests. Other than that the flat had a little kitchenette that was reasonably well equipped, it was covid-safe and the bed was comfortable. A bit on the expensive side, but it was one of the few places available in Whitby in spring/summer so we were happy to have booked it ! The location was great, walking distance to the harbour and nearby attractions.

Lovely studio, just as it looks on pictures. Perfect for a couple of nights stay, all the facilities you could need and more. Bathroom is quite small, but studio is spacious. Great for a couple for a few nights although lack of ventilation is clear, make sure you open the windows. Residents not happy about rental property parking on Princess Place so be prepared to find alternative parking.

Great location, 5 minute walk to the harbour. Handy little tablet and folder with local info, day trips, food ect. limited parking outside of property but carpark next to the harbour has free parking after 6 or upto £9 for 24 hours.

Lovely little studio. Really nice to have so many in room facilties such as iron/ironing board. Even a little bottle of milk in the fridge to make cups of tea, such a nice personal touch. Amazing location, would stay again and highly recommend to others!

The Studio was exactly as described and fully kitted out with everything that we needed for an enjoyable stay. The location is great for getting around Whitby and close to a lovely deli on Flower Gate and the big Co-Op just down the road. Although we couldn’t get parked up near the studio we found free on street parking less than a 10 minute pleasant walk through Pannett Park. We had great commas with the Host and the weather was kind!

Great location, was able to park easily near the property. Very clean and has everything you need for a little break away. Would stay again. Thank you!

Nice place, excellent location. Slightly overpriced, especially the cleaning fee but to be expected for the location. Carpet needs cleaning and I hope that it is before anyone else stays. Good overall, just a couple of minor issues.

Perfect location. Accommodation spotless and clean with everything brand new. Would book again if we visited Whitby and surrounding areas.

Lovely cosy space in a great location. Very clean, easy to find. Will stay here again.
