Bright, clean, spacious accommodation in great location.

The house is massive and located within two minutes walk to the beach. House is well equipped and clean. Pictures are accurate.

Es war alles sehr geschmackvoll gestaltet und dadurch sehr gemütlich. <br/>Außerdem liegt das Haus nur einen Katzensprung vom Strand entfernt.

Lots of space very comfy had a well equipped kitchen and only around 10-15 min walk to the harbour<br/><br/>Only one thing to complain about was the dripping tap in bedroom we did phone about it and nobody turned up to repair it

The house is a beautiful building in a fabulous location however, I am sorry to say that the cleanliness of the house was very disappointing.<br/>There was no cleaning products or toilet rolls. The bins were full and despite me trying to contract someone I do believe I just communicated with a chat bot. We had to go to the local shop to buy the necessities.<br/>We had planned to cook breakfast on our first morning but unfortunately the remnants of someone else’s cooking was still on the grill pan.<br/>There were cobwebs over the cooking area, the floors and dining table were sticky and the remainder’s of 60th and 80th birthday confetti remained.<br/>This was all very disappointing and not what we had expected for our family weekend away.<br/><br/>Unfortunately the cleanliness of the house left a lot to be desired and the concerns of the owners was non existent.

In all honesty the actual house itself is lovely, we had issues with cleanliness and I believe that is due to the fact that it was off-season and I don’t think people had stayed before us. The real issue is the communication from the host (professional company) we were told there would be two travel cots when we got there, upon arrival there was no travel cots so I called the phone number and I was told that they don’t provide travel cots for that property. When I went upstairs the upstairs room hadn’t been cleaned since the last guest and there was some harmful substances in the top floor, I messaged every single day for four days to get a cleaner round to dispose of the drugs and sort it out, but no one came. I eventually ended up calling the guest services manager who was very helpful, but by that point we were due to check out the following day. <br/>If it weren’t for those two issues, this would’ve been a five star review all round, the house itself and location are both fantastic.

House was exactly as described. Beds bedding and towels very good quality. Kitchen well equipped and very good location for walking into Whitby. Excellent beaches in easy reach by car. I would book here again

Location was good.<br/><br/>I ordered a cot in the request section which wasn't provided. If they had told me they were not providing the cot and high chair which was ordered. I could have made other arrangements As it was we arrived at night with no cot for the baby. There was no soap in any of the basins and only a tiny amount of washing up liquid. not enough toilet paper and no cleaning sprays. We had to hunt for the key to the back door to get out. WE eventually found it in the sitting room. If there was a fire we could not have got out. Fire safety regs say there should be a turn lock on doors leading outside so no key required. There were not enough bin bags. The carpets were not clean and when we tried to use the hoover it didn't work. The heating kept going off. Only one of the two televisions worked

House is very spacious and ideal for a large family group. The large walk-in showers are excellent. Bedrooms are large. There is a large open-plan kitchen / diner with sofa as well so we used that more than the sitting room.<br/><br/>Supplies of dishwasher tablets, washing up liquid, sponge and bin bags were inadequate or non-existent. We had to buy these.<br/>The outside rubbish bin was full and there were several bin bags piled up beside it, as well as other loose rubbish.

The house is lovely and well situated in Whitby, just a 5 min walk to the seafront. <br/>My main issues are as follows:<br/>Check in is 4pm which feels very late to me, we asked if we could get in early to refrigerate some breast milk we was sent back a copy and pasted message that basically said no. <br/>The thing is, air bnb is supposed to be about private homes with private hosts, and I’ve never met a host that isn’t flexible until now. There was no one in the home the day before anyway so we could have checked in early and dropped off our stuff. Poor. <br/>The heating instructions miss out a key step using the thermostat, we only worked this out the second day after being freezing cold the first night. You need to hold down a button for 3 seconds to get it to work, this isn’t in the instructions. <br/>No black bin outside. <br/>Everything response was copy and pasted and it didn’t feel personal at all. <br/>But, the house is lovely and the location is great too. Just be prepared for poor comms.

Very spacious, good location<br/><br/>Needs a deep clean, light touch surfaces are clean however closer inspection needs some work (takeaway rice in a corner on kitchen floor when we arrived / sand behind bath / marks on cupboards / dead insects on windowsills etc)

Great location. Very near beach. Easy walking distance to town. Convenience store close by.<br/><br/>All of the nice things that you get with a private host (welcome hamper, pint of milk in fridge on arrival) were missing. In fact all of the basics were lacking as we had been left a single washing machine tablet, no cleaning products, no spare toilet rolls etc. Also very limited parking if you're staying in a party with more than two cars as the drive is quite short and there was no available street parking during the duration of our stay. House instructions are also out of date and state the wrong bin emptying day. As a result, the bin was completely full so all we could do was bag up our rubbish and leave it by the bin in the rear garden

Was a lovely house, just as advertised, plenty of room for 10 people. The bedrooms were comfortable and spacious. Kitchen had all the facilities to cater for a large party, bathroom and showers were extremely well kept . Short walk into Whitby, but be warned it's all up hill on the way back! Would I stay in this property again, definitely. My only suggestion would be to offer more cleaning equipment, ie washing up liquid and rubbish bags and maybe some hand soap in the toilets.

Lovely, large house in a fantastic location close to the beach and the park. Comfy beds, lots of space, clean and had everything we needed.<br/><br/>The bin in the kitchen was broken and the blind in the room at the top didn’t close properly but it didn’t affect our stay.

Lovely house with a sociable kitchen area and nice outdoor space. Great having parking spaces on the drive. A 10 minute walk into Whitby or to the beach - with lots to do for all ages.

Great location! Property great for large groups. Very nicely decorated.<br/><br/>Not all glasses were clean. Some areas had cobwebs, but it didn't stop us from having a great time.

perfect location, had everything you could possibly need for a family vacation. great decor and attention to detail.<br/><br/>cleanliness was not up to expectations, the guests before us must have allowed their children (or adults) to climb onto furniture and windows, noticeable hand prints all over inside of the window. dirty and chipped dished put back into cupboard. My son lost his toy down the side of the sofa, when taking the cushions off lots of dirt and crumbs which could have been vacuumed. I had to wash some of the towels as brown stains were on them.

Puffin House was fantastic. 8 of us from various locations met at the house and spent a long, relaxing weekend in Whitby to celebrate my 30th birthday. The house was perfect for a large group, the 3 showers + the bath made for easy mornings with everyone getting ready at the same time. We were all really impressed with the house and the digital guidebook was great for planning where to eat and things to do. Only a short walk into the centre of Whitby and to the beach, made for a perfect location. I would definitely consider returning to Puffin House for future large group stays.

Lovely large house great location

The house was very easy to find using the handy maps link sent prior to check in. Check in was stress free using the key safe at the house. The location of the house was wonderful and meant that we didn't have to use a car for the weekend. We were able to park one medium sized car in the garage and one large one on the drive.<br/>The house was perfect for 10 friends with everything we needed. Each of the rooms are spacious with lovely comfy beds.

9 of us aged from 20-81 stayed for 3 nights. It was just great. We’d definitely recommend the property for a family get together!

The most perfect place to stay, close to all the main attractions, lovely area and most of all an amazing house. I went with 9 people and everyone was happy with their accommodation. When I return to Whitby I would stay here every time.

Puffin House is very tastefully decorated and has everything you need to enjoy a get together with friends or family.<br/>It is situated in a lovely area , only minutes from the beach , Pannet park and a short walk to Whitby pier and shops .<br/>I would definitely recommend. <br/>We are a large family of all ages and found the house both comfortable and spacious.

Great place to stay for a big group visiting Whitby. The house was clean and spacious and bright. Plenty of space to cook in the kitchen. The showers are brilliant! The little garden at the back is lovely. Perfect location away from the bustle of the town but easy and quick to walk there.

Loved the bedrooms and showers. The beds were comfortable and clean. Showers were powerful and hot. Fab sea view from<br/> the rear of the house.. Kitchen was a lovely size and well equipped. Handy guide emailed with loads of relevant information.<br/><br/>Parts of the floor downstairs weren't very clean. We found some old cereal stuck to the floor under the dining table and a sweet wrapper by the sofa. Floor in kitchen/diner <br/>looked a bit worn and shabby.

Great location, short walk to the beach. Very clean and provided all the essentials we needed for our stay. Space was very practical to accommodate a large group, especially the kitchen/diner area.

this is an absolutely stunning house and was perfect for my family to all get together for my 60th birthday. The house is like a tardis with fabulously large bedrooms and reception rooms. every room is decorated to a really high stardard with quality fittings. It is ideally placed for walking into Whitby and enjoying it's history.

This house is amazing. We were a party of 8 and had plenty of space. The house had everything you could possibly need, was spotlessly clean and in a perfect location. It is a two minute walk to the sea front and a ten minute walk into Whitby centre. We would definitely go back to Puffin House if we return to Whitby.

House was excellent, recently refurbished to very high standard and super clean. Also perfect location by the coast to explore Whitby. We used for family trip to celebrate my mum’s 60th and we all enjoyed our stay.
