Property Details

The Space
Pre-dating the 17th century, this mid-terrace holiday home is grade II listed and likely to have been a former doctor’s residence. Quirky and characterful, the property is set over three floors and sleeps up to four guests.

Upon entering Thimble Cottage, you’ll be welcomed into the open plan living, dining and kitchen area. Featuring low beamed ceilings, a large Georgian window and a rustic brick statement fireplace, this cosy space has a traditional cottage feel. The kitchen is fully equipped so you can make the most of your self-catering stay. Unwind with your loved ones on the grey sofas or enjoy meals together in the dining area.

A winding staircase takes you up to the first floor where you’ll find the master bedroom and family bathroom. The double bedroom has an exposed sandstone feature wall with two double sash windows letting in plenty of light and fresh sea air. Pops of ochre are added in the soft furnishings to create a cohesive look and a truly relaxing feel.

The family bathroom features tasteful white metro tiles and exposed beams. The space is complete with a WC, basin and a modern shower enclosure including an invigorating power shower.

Take the winding staircase up to the second floor and you’ll discover the expansive twin bedroom. Nautically themed, there are hues of blue with the quirky shaped chimney breast strikingly painted in Cook’s Blue. Take a seat at the elevated front window, the perfect vantage point to observe the mast tips of the Endeavour sailing vessel moored in the harbour.

Host & Stay are committed to our owners that their homes are protected during guest bookings. For this reason, we require all our guests to transfer a Damage Deposit (refundable, subject to an administration charge) or, to purchase an Accidental Damage Waiver which will cover you for up to £500.00 of accidental damage during your stay.

Thimble Cottage is located in the centre of Whitby and you’ll find restaurants, shops and pubs less than a 2-minute walk away. The cottage is located along a small ginnel, which was previously known as Smugglers Yard on the West side of Whitby.

Revel in nostalgic charm by heading to Pier Road where you’ll find fun arcades and plenty of fish restaurants. Continue on to the Blue Flag West Cliff beach and promenade.

The other side of Whitby is full of narrow, medieval streets dotted with boutiques and pubs. Climb the famous 199 steps up to the Church of Saint Mary. You can also discover the renowned ruined Whitby Abbey, which was the inspiration for Bram Stoker’s gothic novel ‘Dracula’.

Step outside of Whitby and you’ll uncover a haven of woodland and moorland. Whitby forms part of the North York Moors National Park so it’s the perfect place for long walks.

Getting Around
You’ll find restaurants, pubs and shops just in a short walk from Thimble Cottage.

Whitby train station is around one minute away on foot so villages and towns along the North Yorkshire coast can easily be reached via rail. There’s also a taxi rank in close proximity to the train station.

There are plenty of bus routes throughout Whitby. Hop on the X4 and you can visit beautiful coastal villages like Sandsend, Runswick Bay and Staithes. The X93 travels along the coast to Scarborough. The 95 route features plenty of quaint villages, such as Grosmont and Lealholm.

Great little cottage for what we needed. Had a fantastic time. Everything was there that we needed and we were very comfortable<br/><br/>There wasn't anything that we didn't like

Fantastic location<br/><br/>Very steep stairs leading to the bedrooms, we could have been informed prior to arrival where the parking bays were, as we paid in advance for parking then when we got to the cottage there was permits to park for free, but only in certain streets

It is a Morden, comfortable cottage in the heart of Whitby. Close to all the bars, restaurants and shops. Would definatley book again.<br/><br/>Nothing.... It was a perfect stay.

Comfortable cottage.Great location on harbourside.Convenient for shops and most of resort attractions.<br/><br/>STEPS..I am a blue badge holder and have difficulty with stairs. This property had 3 stone steps to front door and then tight winding stairs to the first and second floors. Not perfect, but hey ho,I managed.

Perfect location! Everything was so close by! The parking provided was extremely helpful. The basics were provided too which was a big help! The hosts provided a great guide too which helped us decide where we went. We would love to come back!

Very cute little place - a little smaller downstairs than expected but the photos were entirely accurate…and the bedrooms and the bathroom were lovely. The mock log burner added a cosy vibe downstairs which we enjoyed. The co-op was very close which was fab! We had a lovely time :)

The cottage is very central with parking close by at £9 for 24 hours. We enjoyed a nice meal at the moon and sixpence, very reasonably priced. The cottage its self is down a dirty alley way which is used by people leaving the pub at all hours and as the cottage has single glazed windows the noise was a problem late at night. After booking the cottage I was then asked to pay a fee for a damage waiver of £25, this should just be within the price. The £60 cleaning fee is a little steep as the cottage is that tiny it could be cleaned top to bottom within an hour. The cleaners obviously don’t check the crockery or utensils as some of the cups had sugar in and the plates were left with grease marks. As a host myself all drawers and cupboards are checked and everything washed ready for the next guests. The batteries in the remote needed replacing too. Little problems that are easily resolved with more care and attention to detail.

Great location and lovely little cottage

Check in time of 4pm was so late had to book another day. Check out time of 10am too early.

Very cosy and immaculate. Bed comfy. Water pressure amazing. Location so close to main harbour and shops etc. loved it and would go back.<br/><br/>Big enough for the two of us but would feel anymore would be a squeeze.

The location is superb and paying for parking at the station is well worth doing.<br/><br/>The property redefines the word 'cosy'. The ground floor is very, very, very small. With two small children it wasn't easy.

Really lovely, cosy, little cottage. Full instructions provided, all heating/appliances easy to use (for the heated towel rail you need to press the switch outside the bathroom door and press the "boost" button). It was clean and perfect for the two of us. The Christmas decorations in the cottage were a really nice touch as well. Bed and pillows really comfy. Great central location. We didn't use the car once we'd parked up; all shops, pubs, restaurants are just a short walk away, plus the seafront, Abbey/steps, and pier. We used the Marina car-park for unloading and loading, and parked about 10 mins walk away for the rest of the time. We felt really at home at Thimble Cottage and we will definitely book to stay here again. Thank you for an enjoyable stay, we loved our cosy Christmas break in Whitby.

Cute little cottage. Perfect location. Parking can be tricky. I've never had to pay a damage waiver fee for a property before and feel like this should be factored into the price of the booking rather than a separate payment afterward.

the location is excellent, located within minutes from all the amenities<br/><br/>the heating system was somewhat awkward, the noise from the alley way was annoying.

It was a great location<br/><br/>The couches were very small , not a lot of room for 4 adults very snug , also very cramped to sit at the kitchen table could not sit 4 adults comfortably

Great location, beautiful property<br/><br/>It was compact, but not a criticism, perfect for a few nights stay.

Great central location<br/><br/>Batteries in both remotes not working

We liked the location, central to everything!!<br/>We like how cosy and comfortable it was too.<br/><br/>A few to many cobwebs around and about, and the place felt damp until we worked out how to manage the electric heaters.<br/><br/>Didn't like being woken at 1/2am by people passing after last orders at the pubs at the end of the yard.

Great location<br/>Clean<br/>Quiet<br/><br/>Endless emails from Host and Stay regarding verification process, even after we'd left

Excellent location<br/><br/>Very small and no parking

everything nice and cosy very homely<br/><br/>nowt

Location very good <br/>Very well equipped <br/> Very clean<br/><br/>After two days having to use same towles <br/>No response after email informing <br/>an issue with front door

Great location right near the Quay. Comfortable rooms. Kitchen well equipped but very small.<br/><br/>Very steep stairs no good if you have mobility issues or young children l.

Superb location for harbour and all amenities. Clean and well equipped cottage.<br/><br/>Space very limited (but name indicated this would be the case) 2 couches not particularly comfy for 4 adults . If you are a light sleeper and on the upper floor the noise from the local night club and early morning seagull chorus may disturb you.

Clean, cosy tidy. Excellent location<br/><br/>No instructions for when the hot water went off.

Location was great cosy little cottage everything we needed very quiet nicely decorated<br/><br/>Shame about all the cigarette ends on the entrance down the alley which probably was to do with the pub on the corner there was also a lot of water coming from the drain of the cottage next door which gave a unpleasant smell at times

Location and was very quirky<br/><br/>Was all good

The bedrooms were very spacious really comfortable beds<br/>clean accommodation<br/><br/>The kitchen/lounge were small for 4 adults. The staircase was ok for us but anyone older than us might struggle on the stairs

excellent location, very central but in a quiet street. property had everything you would want and clean<br/><br/>the glasses could do with being replaced and the mop and bucket in the cupboard was a bit smelly but minor

Basic clean comfortable perfect location for Harbour area.Ideal for a short stay. Will no doubt t book again<br/><br/>The stairs a bit steep for me but not a real problem

Cosy and close to everything

Clean and comfortable and Quirky<br/><br/>Just the lack of parking and the inconvenience of having to walk with all your bags etc to unpack especially with a young one in tow , but we knew that when booking and it didnt stop us enjoying the accommodation when there and its not reflected at all in the score . Staying in central Whitby you have to make some allowances

great location, very clean, very comfortable beds.<br/><br/>kitchen is compact due to overall size of ground floor, this is not a complaint , as it has everything u could need.

Great location in the centre of all amenities and tourist attractions, some issue with night time noice bottle collections from local pubs etc , probably not the owners fault but we had to chase the management company on numerous occasions to receive location and access details which stressful <br/><br/>Overall Whitby great for a short break

Very close to all local amenities and attractions etc. Really pretty little property with a nice feel to it. Super clean and comfortable! Lovely bed.<br/><br/>The windows seem to let in a lot of noise from the lane, so it gets a bit loud, but I suppose it that comes with a central location and historic property. There were quite a lot of automated emails during the booking process that got a bit confusing.

The cottage was cold storage heaters would only stay for half an hour

Location was great. Everything was within walking distance and shops on doorstep. Grandson loved the amusement arcades and some lovely little cafes.<br/><br/>Cottage was too small, very, very compact. Winding stairs to bedrooms not great and handrail did not go right to top. It was very clean and beds were comfy.

very homely feel<br/><br/>everything was great

Location was great<br/><br/>Just too many emails, I received over 14 email from start to finish. I got away to get a break from social media and technology.

The property. Fantastic location, well-appointed, great character<br/><br/>Host and Stay, the booking agent. Excessive emails prior to stay asking for large deposit or to pay damage waiver. Messages continued even after I completed this, to the point of having to call them to check they had received my registration and ask them to stop calling. On arrival found several stains on couch, stained bedding and towels. Very disappointing especially after having been made to pay a fee for the damage deposit - I would have expected it to be immaculate. When I raised the issues, customer service told me they had ‘looked into and resolved the issue’ which was untrue since we were in the property. Emailed again and they made vague offer to ‘look into getting someone out to the property to try to remove stains’, an offer we declined since we did not wish to waste any more of our short 2 night stay responding to emails from Host&Stay. In my view they should have sent someone with clean sheets to drop off immediately. No further compensation offered. If I were the owner of the property, would move to different agent.

Clean, great location and everything we needed<br/><br/>Nothing

very close to harbour<br/> lovely clean cottage <br/>lovely comfy beds <br/>Xmas decs appreciated<br/><br/>.Hand rail needed on steps leading to front door <br/>.sensor light by front door would help with key code <br/>.More handrails needed , particularly at the top of the stairs & other side of the wall . <br/>.light needed on top floor , to assist lighting of top flight of stairs

we’ve stayed before so we rebooked but this time we couldn’t get the fire working (it was cold been December) email the host they just asked the obvious questions and then didn’t reply<br/><br/>we’ve stayed before so we rebooked but this time we couldn’t get the fire working (it was cold been December) email the host they just asked the obvious questions and then didn’t reply

great central location and a lovely little cottage that was very clean and nicely decorated. <br/> <br/>good clear communication from the management company , their links /website gave us all the information we needed.<br/><br/>we felt it wasn’t that clear before booking that we would be required to either pay £250 refundable bond ( minus admin fees) or take their £25 insurance . i couldn’t spare £250 to sit in their bank account leading up to christmas so had no choice but to pay their insurance. if i had seen this prior to booking , i wouldn’t have done so. i understand people need to protect their property , but i would have preferred this inso was part of the price up front, it felt underhand hiding it in the small print. <br/> <br/>the small alley that the cottage is located in appears to also be a favourite place with local drinkers at night , so we felt a little uncomfortable coming and going at night. <br/> <br/>whilst the company do provide a parking voucher, this is for W zones. they were too far away for our needs ( and we drove around for nearly 30 mins trying to find a space. ) <br/> <br/>it was easier and much closer to park in the main marina car park at our own expense.

Property was great. Process with Host and Stay was hard work. Far too many emails and kept being asked daily to put a damage waiver in place even after we had paid it. Not a good experience. Again property was great.

awesome location and lovely little cottage<br/><br/>nothing about the property but careful with Host and Stay and their policies. you’re forced into taking the more expensive security deposit option as you have to beg and wait for yours to be returned. I’ve waited 15 days now and was told to e mail the company who took the deposit to find out where it is. ridiculous, it doesn’t take 15 days to check the property hasn’t been damaged and return it. meanwhile they get extra interest whilst your money sits in their account!

close to the harbor<br/><br/>Everything is Small and tight, feet were out of the bed. outside view is a brick wall.

Everything! Excellent property in a great location. Everything was perfect.<br/><br/>Nothing about the property, but parking in whitby can be tricky.

cottage was really nice immaculately clean<br/><br/>although it has 2 bedrooms the lounge and kitchen is very small not enough room for 4 people

Lovely little cottage, fantastic location and not troubled by the noise from the pub next door! Very clean, bedding lovely and beds very comfortable. Everything we needed. Will be back!

The whole experience, the location was perfect right in the shopping area next to the swing bridge car parking and sea front.<br/><br/>Slight noise from pub but Hadley worth mentioning.

Fantastic, lovely home. <br/>Very cosy! <br/>Has a wonderful stay.

Thimble Cottage is beautifully maintained and such a cute place to stay right in the centre of Whitby by the harbour. We were so surprised at how close it is! <br/>The rooms are very comfortable and the bathroom shower was incredible! The entire cottage was spotless and had everything we’d need provided.<br/>We were also provided with 2 days worth of parking permits (kept in the welcome book), however we chose to use the 24 hour harbour car park (opposite Co-Op) for convenience instead, as it was only a 200m walk from the cottage and only cost £9 for 24 hours. Much less hassle than trying to find on-street parking in the narrow back streets of Whitby.<br/>The only downside was the noise from a nearby nightclub which was very loud after midnight, but it was a beautiful stay and we would definitely come back! Thank you!!

The location was fantastic <br/>Beds very cozy and cottage<br/><br/>That there wasn’t anywhere to store beach stuff surf boards wet suits etc <br/>Tried not to spread sand over the cottage but was difficult <br/>Car was too far away to store it in there

It was right in the centre so we did not have to walk far, very clean & owners provided milk, washing up liquid, towels etc, 9 year old daughter loved all the stairs & the room at the top. Definitely book again & highly recommend<br/><br/>only downside was no yard or garden to have a few drinks as weather was so hot

Great location. Lovely little property too<br/><br/>Would have been nice to have a bin and full length mirror in all the bedrooms. The noise in the middle of the night from loud/drunk people using the alley as they left the local pubs, but that wasn’t the hosts fault. A little mould around the shower tray.

Freshly decorated, comfy beds, great location, everything we needed<br/><br/>I didn’t find the spiral staircase accessible as it is quite cramped

Beautiful cottage. Very clean and in a great position.<br/><br/>It was a bit noisy. Building work was happening further up the lane and the single glazed windows meant we heard everything!

Absolutely loved it its the cutest little cottage<br/>With everything you need in a fantastic location . If you like loads of space this is not for you but for me and my friends we loved it and will be booking again

adorable features and very local to where we needed to be<br/><br/>it was a tad noisy with work taking place in that street and karaoke from a local pub but you’d expect noise given its location

The property was exceptionally clean with everything you could want for a small, quirky cottage. Nice decor and good quality furnishings. Compact but a very good use of the space available. Bedding and towels included. Note: Could do with a hook on the back of the bathroom door. Lovely shower. Pre-paid parking zone cards very handy. Short walk from property to the harbour, beaches, the abbey, jewellery/gift shops and decent restaurants (Trenchers, Magpie Cafe and Velveteen).<br/><br/>BUT... <br/>1. Parking was quite some way away up a steep hill. The nearest zone never seemed to have any free spaces available. <br/>2. The sea gulls and pigeons made a horrendous din ALL night long keeping us all awake! <br/>3. The bar at the end of the alleyway played loud music into the early hours stopping us from sleeping! I travelled with younger family members. You could hear the hand drier at the club repeatedly too. <br/>5. We had drunks hanging around immediately outside of our accommodation keeping us awake. <br/>6. There are 2 houses very close to the property that are being renovated so from 8am on the dot there were builders shouting, sanding, power tools, hammering, radios and alot of swearing! <br/> <br/>I acknowledge that these factors are outside of the control of the property owners but there should be mention of the club, building works etc in the property details in my opinion. <br/> <br/>I did write twice to Host & Stay whilst staying at the property re: above complaints/concerns.

lovely clean beautiful place

Thimble Cottage is great with lots of character. The hosts were very accommodating making sure we had everything needed for our little one.. the location was right in the heart of Whitby.<br/><br/>Thank you for having us

Beautiful little cottage in a perfect location within easy reach of all the bars, restaurants and attractions. Immaculately clean with everything we needed. We didn't really notice any noise other than to be expected from such a central location. Very easy check in and perfect communication - all our questions were answer immediately. We really enjoyed our stay and would definitely recommend. Many thanks.

Lovely quaint cottage, close to everything with excellent parking (paid) very close by. Very clean, with everything you needed to hand<br/><br/>Friday and Saturday nights were exceptionally loud until 4am in the morning. The cottage is located very close to a club and pub, with what seemed to be outdoor speakers. I appreciate the nature of the location in terms of accessibility to everything but perhaps a warning about the location of the clubs and the volume and lateness of the music would have been helpful. The other days we were there it was fine, just the Fri and Saturday

A very charming property in an excellent location.<br/><br/>It is by its very nature quite tight space wise, but that is in no way a complaint and you could argue that in a way that adds to its charm.

Relaxing, tiny, sweet cottage

Property keys were left in the lock box early. Property was close to everything.<br/><br/>The parking was quite far away.

Everything the location was great when we actually found the accomation.Specfic details like across the way from the Railway station or next to Macy Browns cocktail bar would be helpful. The fact it is down an alleyway would be helpful to future resident 's.<br/><br/>Nothing it was amazing.

Lovely clean quirky cottage in centre of Whitby.Would stay there again.<br/><br/>Stairs are a bit awkward and getting your bags to cottage before finding a parking space but it didn't spoil holiday.

location and very clean and comfortable. free parking permit was very appreciated<br/><br/>early harassment from a booking agent call nine yes to the apartment. over 30 texts and emails asking for personal ID. Eventually stopped when they realised there attempts were unwelcome.

how clean and wide range of resources .<br/><br/>it was very cold and the radiators took a while to heat up

very clean and comfortable stay, had everything you needed for a weekend getaway, great location and very central, made it cozy once the heating kicked in, lovely fireplace.<br/><br/>just the loud music from the pub near by till early hours of the morning, the seagulls were rather roudy too, and a lot of bird poo outside and around the property.

On the surface the asthetics were good for the outside of the property and very cosy and bijou on the inside.<br/><br/>However this is a very noisy location beyond 11pm at night. Night club next door till 3am in the morning (ok for youngsters wanting to make the most of a night on the town), nothing will block the noise out when in bed prior to 3am.<br/><br/>Seem to be Spammed with many e mails that consistently remind of T's and C's of departure times etc even over the Easter weekend, Easter day etc before check in but seemed to be unresponsive to requests when issues arose. Asked for extended check out of 1Hr, no reply till after we left but house which was still not occupied 2-3 hours after we left, nor had it been cleaned. We were absolutely shattered due to the noise from the nightclub. We were told this feedback would be passed on to marketing team, but nothing more than that, no comment on the fact that the word "vibrant" in the description of location actually meant "disruptive"<br/><br/>£60 cleaning fee, why? It would take max an hour to top to bottom clean down as the place is so small.<br/><br/>Uncomfortable settees if more than 2 staying.<br/><br/>Vetting process prior to travel does not seem to be optimised for Android devices, therfore became very manual.

Thimble cottage was perfect. Immaculate and great central location. Only difficulty was parking but we found a space 10 mins walk away.

Fabulous Location, cleanliness excellent.

A very cute, cosy cottage - it was cold when we stayed so we really appreciated the living room stove to relax by. The rooms were really nicely decorated and everything was very clean. It is next door to some pubs so it was quite loud in the evenings, but we expected this - and minded less because it's in such a handy central location. The main downside for me was the excessive level of communication - we got so many emails and messages, including one about how to check out on our first morning (which sort of spoilt the vibe!) and the ID verification process was a pain.

cottage was central very clean<br/><br/>very noisy with noise from pubs throwing away their bottles 1am onwards people shouting <br/>no frying pan or saucepan which I was surprise about <br/>heating wasn’t warm enough , <br/>no extra blankets we were cold

Excellent cottage

lovely and clean modern comfy everything you could need<br/><br/>the heating. it was cold even though I did what the booklet said nothing seemed to happen. not ideal in December. Also the verification process seemed OTT, uploading a photo of myself and my drivers license seemed over the top and an invasion of privacy. Also the alleyway to the cottage is very dingy and dirty

There was no breakfast available<br/><br/>We couldn’t get the radiators to heat up, a bit hit and miss.

the location was excellent, and the cottage modern and quirky

Very clean and ideal location

Everything!!!!! Location, quirkiness and everything we could ever need.<br/><br/>A suggestion really not a dislike, maybe a hand rail for the outdoor steps. I walk with a stick and it would have been a little helpful.

Great little cottage, quite small living space for 4 people but very clean and nicely decorated and in a good central location

beautiful little fishing man’s house just a two minute walk from the marina , everything you need was available, and the rooms were gorgeous, definitely stay here again

The communication before the arrival was confusing - too many repeating messages. <br/> <br/>Location is central but very noisy, could not sleep at night due to nearby bar activity.

The property was in a ideal location next to the harbour. It is very clean and all the things you need are provided. The beds are very comfortable and the shower works perfectly.<br/><br/>There was nothing to dislike.

it was exceptionally clean and well looked after.<br/><br/>parking not on site and about a 15 min walk to the parking zone provided <br/>car park opposite at the train station was £2.80 to unload car.

Location is perfect. Property comfortable for a short stay. Help readily available for queries. Paid parking close and very convenient<br/><br/>Would be cramped for four people but you can see how small it is from the photos. The shower is compact and large people might struggle. The pigeons sleep in the "yard", luckily the rain washes away the worst!

Great location, handy for all venues. Very comfotable<br/><br/>En suite for both rooms lie next door

The location of the property to the town.<br/><br/>The parking situation. The W zone was too far away. Ended up paying for 24 hour parking on Endeavour Wharf which was closer.

Everything else was lovely. No complaints about anything else. It was just so cute.<br/><br/>At night the noise from the pubs/clubs carried. It could be heard in the upstairs bedroom. My family didn't sleep well. On the Saturday night.

It’s location is extremely convenient for all there is to do in Whitby!<br/><br/>The parking was far from the property (at least 10mins walk) and impossible to find spaces in the area where permit was allocated.

A lovely well appointed cottage. Immaculately maintained and in an excellent position at the heart pf Whitby harbour. Close to bars restaurants and a great base to explore the local area. Excellent customer service from the hosts.

Beautiful cottage. Very close to the train station and the sea.

Lovely cottage, done out to a high standard. Great central location in Whitby, be aware though - really quite noisy very late at night due to nearby pubs.

Lovely little cottage in the centre of Whitby.

Great location. Perfect for our family of 4 children both 7. They loved it really nice decor, quaint cottage very compact but the space is all very well used.

Central location. Free parking but streets for W parking are at least, approximately 0.5 miles away. Can pull up on baxtergate to unload the car and walk down smugglers alley. <br/>Great shower. Very comfortable beds. Clean. Modern.

Really lovely cottage, with everything we needed for the weekend. So central and easy to find, only thing that's tricky is the parking as it was peak summer season in Whitby. There is a free parking permit provided but it was a bit hard to find spaces. Beautiful and clean cottage though and a super short walk to the main shops/restaurants/bars in Whitby so we had a really great stay.

A beautiful, clean, well equipped, tiny place to stay right in the middle of Whitby. <br/><br/>Be aware the free parking is VERY far away and at the top of the hill. Probably worth budgeting the c.£10/day for the station parking across the road.

Lovely cottage and great location to explore Whitby.

Very clean and lovely little get away!

This is a great lil cottage to stay in <br/>Perfect location and exceptional inside <br/>Hosts seem very professional

Thimble Cottage is perfectly located. Small downstairs but perfectly formed! Everything needed was there. Good sized TV. <br/> The bedrooms are beautiful with good quality linen. Perfect for a great night's sleep. The shower had amazing water pressure. <br/>The whole cottage was spotless. <br/>Thanks for a great stay.

Perfect location, scrupulously clean, lovely modern decor and the most powerful shower I’ve ever used! Highly recommended.

Thanks for a great stay

We had a lovely stay at Thimble cottage, it was really clean, tidy, had everything you would need when away from home. Really close to the harbour so easy to get around and not far to walk for shops, bars, cafes etc.<br/>We did struggle to find it initially even though we used the sat nav, as you come to the mini island by the harbour it is up an alley on your left immediately before the public toilets (coop and train station opp) we parked in harbour car park and just walked across with our luggage until we got our bearings.

Thimble cottage is a beautiful little cottage in a great location. Soon as you walk out onto the street there are many restaurants and shops and the harbour is just over the way. Although it took a while for us to find it because we parked 8 minutes away in a W zone and had to walk to the cottage the sat nav was confusing I’ve never been so happy to see a red door when we arrived! The cottage was very clean, had lots of useful compliance’s and had a lovely homely feel. Not to mention the beds, pillows and duvets were so comfortable could have stayed in there all day! Would love to visit thimble cottage again in the future.

Central location, compact but with everything you need.

Beautifully clean and comfortable in a central location. Easy check in and check out procedures and regular updates and communications. Thank you for a great stay

Compact, central, clean and quiet! A great place for a getaway. It might be tight with 4 people staying, but for a little bolt-hole in the middle of Whitby it is superb!
