The Space
Smartly attired, and snug to boot, Tides is a superb property and perfect for those looking to have a place to stay where they can strike out and take in all the sights, sounds, tastes and smells that a holiday in Whitby can offer.

Upon entering the property you will immediately find yourself in the heart of the property and its combined living, kitchen and dining space. For ease of use and practicality sake, the kitchen area is stylishly tiled, and surrounds the sensible work surfaces that are ideal for creating whatever you might want to whip up during your stay. Beyond that you will find the kitchen is fully equipped with all sorts of appliances that you might require, including coffee maker, cutlery, dishwasher, fridge and freezer, gas hob, kettle, microwave and a toaster.

The room also has a dining table with room to seat all guests comfortably. This then backs onto the living area which is dominated by the plush and comfy, navy blue sofa, coffee table and rug. Here you can spread out on the sofa and make the most of the flat screen TV.

Move on left from the kitchen and enter the hallway, from which you can access both bedrooms and the bathroom. The first bedroom is fitted with a king-sized bed and shrouded in a rich, deep blue colour scheme. A pair of bedside tables and lamps flank the bed on either side, and there is also a chest of drawers on offer for any storage you may require. The second bedroom is similarly equipped with bedside tables and lamps, a chest of drawers and it includes another king-sized bed, however it is decorated with a much paler, baby blue colouring on the walls.

Finally, you will come to the bathroom. It is an exciting room to be in, pairing shining black tiles and bright white fixtures. The main feature is the large walk-in shower, which could certainly be pretty useful after those long days exploring Whitby. It also contains useful storage space in the cabinet, whilst it also boasts a wash basin and WC.

Host & Stay are committed to our owners that their homes are protected during guest bookings. For this reason, we require all our guests to transfer a Damage Deposit (refundable, subject to an administration charge) or, to purchase an Accidental Damage Waiver which will cover you for up to £500.00 of accidental damage during your stay.

Neighborhood
Tides is just a short 10-minute walk into the centre of town. Head to Pier Road and you’ll find cosy pubs, fun arcades and plenty of fish restaurants. Continue along the lively road until you reach the beautiful, blue flag West Cliff Beach which is lined with idyllic beach huts. At the other end of Pier Road, you’ll notice the swing bridge which sits over the River Esk.

Over the bridge, you’ll find yourself on the East bank which is full of narrow medieval streets dotted with boutiques, pubs and even more fish restaurants. Climb the famous 199 steps up to the Church of Saint Mary. You can also discover the renowned ruined Whitby Abbey, which was the inspiration for Bram Stoker’s gothic novel ‘Dracula’.

Step outside of Whitby and you’ll uncover a haven of woodland and moorland. Whitby forms part of the North York Moors National Park so it’s the perfect place for long walks.
