Just the perfect place to be for our family vacation. We loved being able to see and hear the sea 24hrs a day and had some wonderful walks along the coast in both directions. There are some lovely restaurants and coffee shops in walking distance for the apartment which we definitely enjoyed.

There was nothing to like. I already submitted a completed complaint form and expect refunds and restitution. Pls upfdate this wefsite to reflect the sale of the apartment or building and the removal of mention on Booking.com.

The property was really nice, it was very easy to check in and the view was gorgeous. It was mostly extremely clean, however there was one dirty small plate that was in the cupboard, but we put that down to the last guest/s. We had a very nice stay and would definitely recommend/ stay again.

Location, easy to get to the Metro station, the beach and the shops. Spacious flat.<br/><br/>Lack of storage/shelves in the bathroom. No teaspoons in the kitchen. Broken recliner on the settee. There was a horrible smell in the lounge which greeted you when you came in, also a smell in the cupboard where the washing machine was.

Please do not book this property. It had a really bad smell in the living room. It is a consistent issue that hasn’t been solved. We ended up booking a hotel to stay in and double paying for the trip. We are waiting and hoping for the refund.

The location is perfect. The apartment is large, well equipped and comfortable.<br/><br/>The host could work on their communication with clients. 1) My credit card was charged immediately after booking one though the booking.com reservation said it will be charged only a few days before arrival. 2) They kept sending a lot of repetitive emails instead of one with various details relating to the arrival which was confusing. 3) They added additional charge for the insurance (without displaying it at the booking.com). 4) I could communicate with their staff only by phone and their were polite but unhelpful (for instance, when asked for a pair of extra bed sheet, even if we were entitled to them). 5) The gave us a wrong code to the door and it took us several phone calls to actually enter the apartment. Honestly, it was worse experience with hosts via booking.com ever.

Massive apartment, had everything you needed, Seaview fr side window. Close to shops, seafront.<br/><br/>Could do with curtains in the bedroom. Thought we had private parking in the complex for 1 car but turned out we didn't but managed to get street parking jus outside apartment and it was free.

Very bad damp and smoke smell. Apartment cleaning was terrible. Water leak from apartment above dropping on bedroom ceiling, water runs down the wall in living room when it rains . Window blinds are not suitable for the street light shining through and are missing lats. There is no onsite parking despite advertising as such and it is a very busy area so if you have a car be prepared to have to continuously search for a space. Owner doesn't care, property management company doesn't care.

Wonderful location, nice size accommodation, but unacceptable situations related to maintenance requests regarding heater. In addition, freezer door was frozen and there was evidence of black mold.

There was nothing to like. the apartment that we booked was already occupied by a gentleman with a twelve month lease. The fact that we were unable to arrive before 4.00p.m. as the cleaners needed to refresh the apartment!!! wow what a joke<br/><br/>we could have had the apartment that we paid for and not spent the next 2 days looking for alternative accommodation. We contacted Host & Stay and they were unable to find us a suitable alternative.

Perfect for what we required for the weekend. Big spacious bedroom and living room, and the shower room was mint.

Good location. Lovely period building with a grand lobby.<br/><br/>The apartment was not as advertised. It was missing a single bed in the second bedroom. No ironing facilities. The apartment was not cleaned to a good standard. Surrounded by dust and cobwebs. The smoke alarm was faulty and kept bleeping all night.

The location of the property was excellent as expected. The property was also very large with plenty of space.<br/><br/>The cleanliness was very poor. There was a strong smell of damp throughout evident as soon as you walk through the front door. We spent time cleaning the property ourselves and found many patches of hair and dirt in the carpet. Our feet were black from walking on it. This was not acceptable particularly as we have 1 and 4 year old children. <br/> <br/>The biggest issue was the water leak inside the wall separating the 2 bedrooms. This persistent dripping sound was reported to Host and Stay immediately upon arrival however nothing was done about it for 3 days. In this time the leak got much worse resulting in several large damp patches on the walls (photo included) and soaking carpets in the bedroom doorways. There was also a risk to switching the hall lights on which began flickering. The fact that it took several emails and phone calls and 3 days before this was addressed was very poor indeed. Nobody should have to chase these things when on holiday. <br/> <br/>In summary the apartment is in a great location and has great potential but the strong smell of damp and the numerous old damp patches on the walls together with the dirty appearance show that it has been unloved for some time and the owners clearly don't care.

The signal for the tv is awful…when you have two kids that wake up at 5am that’s a tad annoying. The freezer door was broken and the freezer unusable. It wasn’t throughly cleaned when before we arrived. The place was spacious and nice but overpriced for the few things that were wrong

the location and the view, and parking and entry was reasonably straightforward<br/><br/>1. So many emails from Host and Stay re booking that it’s overwhelming. Got verification and bond sorted eventually, via portal that kept freezing, then when we were 3 hours into our drive to location I saw andemail saying there was a problem regarding our payment, even though I had called after completing portal info to confirm all ok, and was told yes and provided with the address, entry code, lock box number etc. Marisol was the only one at Host and Stay that seemed to care about the amount of time we had to spend the day we were driving to location sorting out issues.<br/>2. The apartment was an ice box when we arrived and had to contact host and stay for assistance as instructions in guide were woeful. Water did not reach an acceptance temp for showers etc, just lukewarm.<br/>3. Main bathroom only had a bath, no shower so you have to have a bath, so while the bathroom attempts to have a ‘trendy’ design with sensor lights, you are forced to have a bath (lukewarm) as no shower but the lights go out every few minutes to get someone to walk by bathroom so the light goes in otherwise you are in complete darkness (no windows).<br/>4. Freezer in dire need of defrosting so couldn’t be used for ice cream we bought as it was so iced over that we were scared the plastic would snap if we tried to open freezer drawer.<br/>5. TV - apartment guide boasted over 70 Freeview channels. Nope. 23, and most were radio or double ups of BBC. We wanted to watch All 4 so emailed Host and Stay and was just emailed a generic Freeview tuning guide which didn’t work.<br/>6. Wardrobe in twin room has no handles. So unless I stood on something I could open it (I’m 5ft). Same robe in master did have handles.<br/>7. Window coverings in both bedrooms are pointless - there are bright street lights outside both windows and at night when you turn out lights it’s still like daylight so we had to buy eye masks. Good luck getting small children to sleep.<br/>8.

Large ground-floor flat right by the sea front and a short walk from the centre of Whitley Bay. Plenty of space with high ceilings.<br/><br/>The flat could have been cleaner. Dirt in the corners and on the kitchen cupboards. Doors of the cupboards were badly fitted - nearly falling off. Instructions for accessing the building could have been clearer and caused us difficulty getting in. In the living room the sofa back was broken and there was a strange smell that seemed to be coming from the carpet. The heating was difficult to operate with no thermostat and instructions were inadequate. Didn't like being charged £10 admin fee to return my breakage deposit - not mentioned until after confirming the booking. The property is expensive enough anyway.

Das Apartment hat eine tolle Lage. Die Räume sind groß, kein Teppichboden, sondern Holzfußböden. Parkmöglichkeiten sind an der Straße vorhanden, im Hof haben sich die Residents mit eigenen Schildern ihre Parkplätze reserviert. Komplette Küchenausstattung vorhanden, normale Kaffeemaschine wäre schön. 2 Große Bäder, eines mit einer großen begehbaren Dusche.<br/><br/>Das Haus beinhaltet 12 Wohnungen/Apartments. Davon werden 3 oder 4 vermietet. Zugang erfolgt über einen 6-stelligen Haustürcode. Nah Eingab der 1. Ziffer erscheint das Wort Code und wenn man dort den 6 -Stelligen Code eingibt, kommt man leider nicht hinein, man darf dann nur noch 5 Stellen eingeben. Ein Bewohner hat uns das dann erklärt, Problem scheint häufiger vorzukommen. Die Apartments sind numeriert, wäre schön, wenn die Nummer in der Buchungsbestätigung auftauchen würde. Als wir ankamen, standen vor Apartmnt 1 mehrere Personen, also sind wir zum Schlüsselsafe vor Ar. 2 gegangen und konnten den auch mit dem uns mitgeteilten Code öffnen. In der Wohnung stellten wir dann fest, dass die Einrichtung nicht dem Bild in der Buchungsbestätigung entsprach. In mehreren Telefonaten konnte mir bei der Agentur niemand die Wohnungsnummer sagen, ich erhielt lediglich den Hinweis, es sei "seaside". Mit dem gleichen Code konnte ich auch den Schlüsselsafe für Wohnung 1 öffnen. Ein Abgleich mit dem Bild in der Buchungsbestätigung ließ uns vermuten, dass wir dort richtig waren. <br/>Die Wohnung hat zwar eine Waschmaschine, aber keine Möglichkeit die Wäsche aufzuhängen. <br/>Wenn jemand einen Spiegel und einen Föhn zum Haare trocknen braucht, rate ich dazu ein Verlängerungskabel oder einen mobilen Spiegel mitzubringen. In den Bädern gibt es zwar jeweils einen DIN A 4 großen Spiegel, aber die nächste Steckdose ist mindestens 5 Meter entfernt. <br/> <br/>Vor allen Fenstern hängen weiße Lamellenvorhänge. Das ist in den Wohnräumen auch o.K. In den Schlafräumen ist es allerdings taghell, auch wegen der vor den Fenstern befindlichen Straßenlaternen. Wer bei Helligkeit nicht schlafen kann, sollte die Wohnung nicht mieten.

I wanted to like this place but it just wasn’t it. It was super dirty- I cleaned kitchen and fridge, stains on blinds and sofa, cobwebs in bathroom, clear water damage on the walls in certain areas. The set up didn’t match the photos regarding the tv haphazardly string up on the wall. The sofas were in the wrong place but when we moved them back, it was filthy underneath them. The dryer was pulled out and just sitting in the hallway. The hot water didn’t work. The tv didn’t work. They offered no solutions when I reached out other than have a cleaner show up after dark on our first night but we had children in bed already. Construction next door sounded like it was in the flat. Absolutely not worth the price.

Huge!<br/><br/>Nowhere to put coats, hats, keys etc when coming in<br/>Nowhere to put wash bags and toiletries in the bathroom, just the floor<br/>Can’t control shower temperature<br/>Can’t access building from car park going into building, only the other way<br/>Very difficult to read digits on key pads outside room and building<br/>Only one key. What if it’s lost? Stuck in key box?<br/>Flooring is starting to come up. It hurts children’s toes!

Would really recommend this place. Looks just like the photos, very well appointed with everything you need. The location is stunning and the view is breathtaking! Will definitely return. <br/>Having the parking space was fab. The apartment is extremely spacious. And great access to Newcastle also as the metro is really handy.

For the purposes of the stay, good<br/><br/>The apartment was not the top floor, sea view balcony that we were lead to believe was the only option available on the booking advertisement. So very disappointed.

Lovely spacious living room, two bathrooms, utility space, right on the seafront, warm and clean<br/><br/>Very strange design, lighting and furnishing decisions! for example, there wasn’t enough lighting in the living room so we had to keep moving the bedside table lamps around, there was no light over the dining table, there was nowhere to hang your coats, there was sofa space for 10 people but then a tiny dining table barely big enough for 4. Overall just a little spartan!

It was a great stay with family. Lovely view. Definitely for summer stay. But overall great.

Lovely space in a great location.<br/><br/>There were a few “snags” that could be resolved that would make the place exceptional. e.g. slightly leaky sink in the kitchen, damaged seal on en suite shower, leaking shower guard in main bathroom.
