Travel on the Peak rail
Peak Rail is a charming heritage railway with both steam and diesel lines that winds its way for 4 miles between the delightful Matlock and Rowsley South railway stations. The Matlock station has preserved much of its original design after being crafted in part by Joseph Paxton, the architect of London’s Crystal Palace.
This railway hosts several special events each year, with the highly beloved ‘Santa Special’ train rides being a festive highlight for families during Christmas! Additionally, the railway provides a unique dining experience called The Palatine which offers luxury dining and afternoon tea.
