Perfect for all of the family, head to Richmond Castle which is one of the greatest Norman fortresses in Britain.

Richmond is also fantastic for walking. There is a great river walk to Easby Abbey which is a free site to visit from English Heritage. Another beautiful walking area is Richmond Falls which is just down the hill from the marketplace. When the weather is nice, we recommend having a picnic at The Batts.
