Wensleydale Area Guide
The beautiful valley of Wensleydale in the Yorkshire Dales is home to charming villages, pretty castles, huge waterfalls and breathtaking scenery. Known as the Cheese County, you also can’t visit Wensleydale without trying the cheese which made this corner of Yorkshire world-famous! The Great Outdoors
Visit Aysgarth Falls, which features in the Hollywood movie Robin Hood Prince of Thieves. This three stepped waterfall has been a major tourist attraction for over 200 years and is a must see! You can also go see the highest single-drop waterfall in England, Hardraw Force, which also features in the popular Hollywood film!
There are other beauty spots to visit such as Semer Water. This is the largest natural lake in the Dales. With calm waters, you can go for a quick swim and can even go canoeing and sailing!

Take a tour around Black Sheep Brewery, where you can experience the traditional brewing process and the tastes of English hops and malted barley. Once finished, you can go chill out and enjoy a pint in the local bar. If your feeling hungry they also have a kitchen offering some tasty dishes.
