The Cabin is a cosy, private annex in the heart of Canterbury in Kent. Ultra snug and homely, this space is perfect for solo travellers and couples. With a double bedroom, fully equipped kitchen, modern shower room and a shared garden, you’ll have everything you could need. Whether you’re visiting for business or leisure, The Cabin will provide a comfortable base in Canterbury.

The Space
The Cabin is a private annex attached to the owner's home. Offering a welcoming and comfortable place to stay in the centre of Canterbury, the space has everything you could need for a self-catering break.
With a cosy cottage feel, the kitchen is traditional in style and features a kitsch gingham curtain. Fully equipped with modern appliances and cookware, you’ll be able to prepare home cooked meals during your visit.
Head to the bedroom and you’ll find a tranquil space. With a large sash window looking out to the garden, you’ll feel relaxed here in no time. Enjoy long lazy mornings with a cup of tea watching the TV from the comfortable double bed.
The annex has a private shower room with a walk-in shower, WC and basin.
Host & Stay are committed to our owners that their homes are protected during guest bookings. For this reason, we require all our guests to transfer a Damage Deposit (refundable, subject to an administration charge) or, to purchase an Accidental Damage Waiver which will cover you for up to £500.00 of accidental damage during your stay.
Neighborhood
The Cabin is located in the centre of the unique medieval walled city of Canterbury. One of the most famous and culturally significant cities in the UK, there is plenty for you to explore here. Just a short walk from Canterbury High Street and only 10-minutes from Greyfriars and Westgate Gardens, you’ll be perfectly placed to explore the city.
Discover Canterbury Cathedral which is one of the most iconic landmarks in England and a UNESCO World Heritage Site. With stunning architecture, intricate stained-glass windows and a rich history, it’s no surprise it has over one million visitors per year!
You can also visit The Westgate Towers Museum and Viewpoint where you can enjoy spectacular views of the city from the top of the largest surviving medieval gateway in England and learn all about the city.
As well as historic attractions, Canterbury also has a vibrant arts scene, theatres and events throughout the year making it fun for all ages. A fantastic destination for shopping, dining and drinking, the city has an abundance of independent shops, eateries and bars waiting for you to explore.
Canterbury Festival is an annual two-week festival which offers a spectacular of music, contemporary dance, comedy, theatre, lectures, and much more! This festival is a fun and cultural experience, attracting audiences of up to 70,000 people. You will experience unique opportunities that are only available as part of Canterbury Festival!
Getting Around
You’ll find restaurants, cafes and shops within walking distance from The Cabin, so you’ll be ideally placed to enjoy a retreat in Canterbury.
Canterbury West rail station is a 5-minute walk from the property where there are regular journeys to Margate, Ramsgate, London St Pancras and London Charing Cross. Plus, the journey into London is under 1 hour with Southeastern trains which is handy!
If you’re travelling by coach, the National Express coach stop is approximately a 5-minute walk from the property.
The nearby towns of Ashford, Broadstairs, Dover and Margate can be reached via car under 45 minutes so Kent can be explored easily. If you fancy heading to the seaside, the beautiful town of Whitstable is a short 20-minute drive away.
If you intend to explore by bus, the nearest bus stop is within walking distance and serves the University of Kent, Whitstable, Herne Bay and Margate.

Guests have access to the annex via a private entrance to the side of the main building. The keys are accessed via a key safe box, and full details will be provided prior to your stay.
Please note the annex is attached to the owner's home, however there is no access into the main building from the annex and visa versa. Please also note that the owner’s dog may bark upon your arrival but she is very friendly! There is a spacious garden that you are welcome to use but please be aware that this is shared with the owner.
There are a number of pay and display carparks nearby and details will be provided prior to your arrival.

L'emplacement proche du centre ville. l'accès à l'appartement est facile. un mini espace extérieur pour petit-déjeuner.

Ich vergebe selten schlechte Bewertungen, aber diesmal ist es wohl berechtigt: <br/>Dank versteckter Gebühren kann man nur von Abzocke sprechen, wenn man für diese kleine Unterkunft pro Nacht 110€ insgesamt bezahlen soll. Zudem war die Ferienwohnung nicht sehr sauber - viel Staub (hier ist wohl nicht einmal nass der Boden gewischt worden), dreckiges Badezimmerwaschbecken, z.T. schmutziges Geschirr. <br/>Mitnichten gab es eine Gartennutzung. Man könnte sich nur in den engen dunklen Hof setzen (auf rostige Stühle). Auf den für die Anzeige fotografierten schönen Garten gab es nur vom Schlafzimmer aus einen Blick. Er gehörte zu einer Privatwohnung. Die Dame, die dort wohnte war jedoch sehr nett.<br/>Positiv sind die zentrale Lage in Canterbury, die sehr zweckmäßige Einrichtung und die Ruhe der Wohnung zu nennen.<br/>Hier wird wohl versucht schnelles Geld zu machen...

Had everything we needed ! Had some troubles with the check in as they initially gave us the wrong code to open the lock box, but we ended up getting in okay. It was as described. Incredible location, peaceful road but close to everything else. Didn't feel very private as it felt more like a shared room with a door in the kitchen connecting to the rest of the flat where we could hear every word said, and there were dogs that barked most of the day and evening, but not a huge deal if you are out and about most days. The most uncomfortable mattress I have ever slept on, very worn out. But, it was worth the price because of the included amenities and the area it was in. Nice old flat and helpful customer service. Overall, a decent stay !

Nice comfy bed.<br/>Easy to use ceramic hob.<br/>Ventilation through the back door.<br/><br/>Noise from other occupants of the house including DOG.<br/>Inaccessible kitchen equipment. It's ridiculously high.<br/>Nowhere to dry washing. Needs a foldaway airer.<br/>Hard to heat.<br/>The T.V. was absolutely AWFUL.

Excellent location, good shower,good towels,good kitchen facility and equipment, comfortable bed, good smart tv, digital radio. Clean. Excellent value for money.<br/><br/>Size of the room meant no space for comfortable chairs or sofa. One small bedroom chair provided.Collapsible small table & 2 folding chairs provided for eating meals.

Great homey place, comfortable bed and very versatile kitchen for cooking in. Washing facility was really useful and private entrance was handy. It was also nice having access to a backyard.<br/><br/>The shower was not very hot which was a little frustrating in February. Otherwise a good place.

Decor and view from window. Compact flat.<br/>I slept good. I do prefer a firm mattress.<br/><br/>I could not just turn on the telly and watch it. It got a little confusing on how to access other channels and accts<br/><br/>There was a slight smell of bleach when entered flat and settled down. It hurt my lungs as I was inhaling it during night. I only discovered the top kitchen door could open on the following day

Alle faciliteiten waren aanwezig. Dit is ideaal voor langer bezoek.<br/><br/>Het bed was niet schoon (vlekken op kussen en hoeslaken, haren op bed en kussen).

Nice comfortable bed. Quiet location but close enough to all that I needed. <br/>Cleaning and washing products provided, as well as tea and coffee.<br/><br/>Unfinished bathroom and kitchen door (bare wood)<br/>No shower mat available that I could see.<br/>Possibly a better adjoining door to house with better sound deadening qualities.

Very convenient location. Everything you could need in a compact, cosy studio. The little private patio and shared use of the garden were a bonus. The shower is large and has good umph. The use of a washing machine and other standard self-catering facilities made it a very adaptable property. Several charming features.<br/><br/>We felt like eavesdroppers at breakfast as we could hear the conversations/radio/TV of the adjoining property. They were having normal, quiet family conversations and going about their daily routine, but we were conscious of hearing them, therefore them hearing us. Perhaps soundproofing the adjoining door might help.

L'emplacement central dans Canterbury. Un très beau jardin. Toutes les commodités pour la cuisine et la salle de bain. <br/>Il manque une zone salle de séjour pour pouvoir déjeuner.<br/><br/>Un peu difficile de récupérer la clef. Il aurait fallu préciser que la Cabin était sur le côté droit de la propriété en arrivant et également il aurait été bien de préciser dans l'annonce qu'il était possible d'aller dans le jardin de la propriété. La propreté était un peu limite. La couverture sur le lit était pleine de poussières.
