Farrier William Apartment Stay from 14 April to 24 April 2024 We had a wonderful stay at Farrier William. From arrival to departure we had everything we needed provided for in the apartment. Arrival, parking and accessing the apartment was simple and faultless. Transferring belongings was straightforward with access via the rear of the apartment direct to the parking space. Neighbours were very friendly and communicative. Thank you to the hosts of Farrier William for thinking of everything and providing a beautifully appointed apartment catering for all our needs. We intend to return to sample more of the delights and to just relax and unwind in great surroundings. The apartment was spotlessly clean and tidy. It is brilliantly located in Cliftonville which is ideal for just strolling down to the beach at Palm Bay. There we sampled great tea and generous Belgian chocolate brownies from the cafe at the beach. A short trip into Margate and “The Harbour cafe bar kitchen” became a go to for us with great food, service and large tables for families. Equally the apartment is so well placed, for exploring the wonderful coast in this area. From Margate, Broadstairs and round the coast to Deal and Walmer castle. We learned so much about the history of the area from when it was an island and all about the cinque ports. We also visited Canterbury and the lovely town of Sandwich and all of these are a short distance by car and all with great places to eat and relax. We also discovered the huge out-of-town shopping area at Westwood which catered for any retail therapy we needed. We recommend the Spitfire and Hurricane museum and Aircraft museums at Marston Air Field which has a Spitfire simulator. Next time we intend to visit the Hornby WonderWorks which is also just down the road. There really is so much to do we just ran out of time. Thank you again and best wishes Robin and Katherine Hyde

The pictures justify the description of the house. Thoughtful interior design and the house is equipped with ample amenities required for a short stay. Would happily stay again!

It's a brand new flat (as of 2023); however, it has problems. Shower/tub drain is very slow, didn't enjoy standing in water. The flat has no air circulation, a total of two windows and one sliding door, provides no air flow. Other reviews complained of cold, we had the opposite issue, too hot. Flat was 73 F (22.5 C) the entire time we were there, regardless of the outside temperature (thermostat was set to 16 C). Management company (Host & Stay) are not so great, they are quick to respond to questions, but don't provide answers, just cut and paste responses direct from the listing, very frustrating. We wanted to know what size crib was provided to bring correct sheets, took three weeks and contact after contact after contact to finally get an answer that it was a Graco Pack'N'Play. Quick to collect an additional deposit to 'protect the owner,' but have no actual details on the rental. Bring your own bog roll, gave two tiny rolls for four people staying for a week.

The apartment was fine for a short stay and kitchen and bathroom were well equipped. It was next to a loud street which we did not expect and not ver private since it was on the ground floor with the windows facing the busy street. All in all it was decent and clean.

Really nice stay, had everything we needed and was comfortable. Everything we needed was there and such a good location. Exactly as pictures showed! Only issue was in the twin room the curtains had a really strong smell of damp it was slightly overwhelming. That however is our only issue and didn't affect our stay until bedtime.

This was a great find for us, with great sandy beaches being down the road and a 'Loop' bus route which takes you straight into Margate centre (although it is also walkable either by road or beach front).
The apartment was clean and spacious with everything you would need for any length of stay (the off street parking gave extra peace of mind).
We would certainly stay again and recommend for others.

The apartment is very stylish and all modern. Lovely and peaceful. A great location. Not far from the beach. Great hosts. Gave us alot of information before we went. We had an amazing few days in margate. We would have loved to have stayed longer.

Enjoyable stay at this clean apartment. Very well equipped. As others have said, the road was noisy but didn’t really notice it at night. It’s a 35 minute walk to the main area of Margate, but a bus stops right outside the building. Parking on site. Would recommend.

Would highly recommend this comfortable apartment. We found this a great base for visiting Kent. The bus stop is literally right outside the front door. If you’re planning on using the buses we recommend a 7 day mega rider which lets you explore the whole county. Also if you cross the road and walk down the street this takes you straight to the beach.

Great spot! a walk away from the beach. there's a fish and chip takeaway 2 min walk away and a shop to purchase snacks or drinks. we had an issue with the toilet not flushing but it was fixed straight away! the apartment was very clean and cosy. I have a 2 year old and this house was very child friendly with a high chair and some toys which was a bonus. It is directly on the road so it's not the quietest apartment but during the night it was quiet when sleeping.
I would book again here.

The flat was really nice - had lots of things we needed esp. for the children. There was a high chair, a travel cot, children's cutley etc. Even though the location is on a main road and you can hear the traffic, you don't really notice it. The area is really nice and short walk from palm bay and the waterfront.

We'd go back but I would say that the beds weren't our favourite. That may just have been us but they felt spongey and bottomed out when sitting (not lying) on them. The heating also did take a while to get the flat warm but within 24 hours, it was up to temperture and then maintained itself quite well. It definately works though - unlike one review saying it doesn't!

This was a lovely apartment to stay in, it was very clear the hosts have put a lot of thought into the place and to make sure all guests are happy with everything they may need. Location was excellent, a short walk to Tesco, a smaller convenience store and fish and chip shop across the road. Very convenient for the bus too, just outside the apartments, a 7 minute ride to Margate seafront. We enjoyed our stay.

Overall this was a relaxing getaway for me and the family. It's about 6-7mins away from the main beach in Margate so guaranteed some peace and quiet, and accessibility to a great beach if you want a change of mood.

The communication with the landlord was great and she made it so my family and I would be as comfortable as possible during our stay.

The only downside was that - and not a reflection on the property - I would constantly lose my phone reception whilst in the property. If you're with EE, like I am, the only place to get a manageable reception was from the balcony.

Property itself is new and still has that 'new smell.' Very clean, excellent for the kids with kids games and books available in the property, and spacious enough for a family of 4-5. If you cook your own food, you'll have access to all the kitchen facilities/utensils you need to do that comfortably.

Beautiful modern flat with lots of amenities. Located a 15 minute walk from the beach (with children) and local enough for everywhere to only be 10-20 minutes away by bus or car. It is close to the main road at the front and can be quite noisy - however this is only really noticeable at night when you have the windows open - we still had excellent nights sleep regardless. The flat is well equipped and has everything you could think of. Will definitely be coming again.
