This fantastic Victorian property is situated at the top of Wellington Street that runs down into the town centre.
Sleeping up to seven guests across four bedrooms, the property is perfect for family getaways or weekends with friends. Enjoy everything the surrounding areas have to offer, with stunning scenery and popular local towns and villages.
The Space
Enter the accommodation which leads you into the open-plan lounge/kitchen/diner. The kitchen area offers everything you need to rustle up a meal during your stay including a gas oven with a four-ring hob, microwave and large fridge freezer. The dining table ideal is for lazy breakfasts and planning the next day's activities.
The lounge area offers a large corner sofa, and Smart TV.
The basement bedroom comprises a king-size bed and a wall-mounted Smart TV, perfect for decadent lie-ins with good company during your stay. The property has an additional three bedrooms, including a master bedroom with a super-king bed offering fantastic front facing views over Matlock.
The shower room offers a shower and WC.
Outside the rear of the property is parking for one car.
Neighborhood
Wellington - Matlock is located on the road running to Matlock town centre. You’ll find there is host of things to see and do on your doorstep including an array of shops, cafes, restaurants and pubs.
There is a weekly market and within easy reach are the gorgeous country houses of Chatsworth (8 miles) and Haddon Hall (7 miles), both ideal for whiling away an afternoon. The Matlock Bath Illuminations and firework display are especially popular with kids and adults alike in autumn. Just a short drive away will take you to the nearby picturesque market town of Bakewell (8.5 miles) which lies in the heart of the Peak District National Park and offers a fantastic place for meandering through the various shops, cafes and restaurants.
Getting Around
Matlock is well-served by public transport, making it easy to explore the town and the surrounding areas. Whether you're traveling by bus, train, or even boat, there are various options to get around. Matlock is connected to the national rail network via Matlock Railway Station, which is located just a short walk from the town centre. The station is served by East Midlands Railway and provides direct services to several destinations in the region including Derby, Nottingham and Manchester. Alternatively, you can explore on one of the more scenic train journeys, including the Peak Rail heritage railway. Via steam train, the service runs between Matlock and Rowsley offering stunning views on the full journey.
Matlock has a comprehensive bus network, with services connecting the town to nearby towns and attractions. Derbyshire Dales Bus Services operate many routes that link Matlock to other parts of the Peak District and surrounding areas including Bakewell, Chesterfield and Bath.

There is a dedicated parking space at the rear of the house. Please note there is only space for one regular car. There is additional on-road parking opposite the front of the property and on nearby roads.
