Lovely little bungalow, very comfortable bed's with good quality bedding. It has a well equipped Kitchen, great to have a dishwasher too. A brand new boiler had been fitted which eventually kept us nice and toasty. Small secure rear garden great for our dog. Cayton Village is a perfect location for exploring around the North Yorkshire Coast, it has a couple of small shops, one with post office, there's also a fish & chip shop. Two pubs, The Star is a lovely, friendly, welcoming village pub or if you're after something more contemporary and expensive there's The Farrier, they're also friendly and welcoming. A short drive away there's a large supermarket and a couple of fast food outlets. Unfortunately when we arrived at the bungalow it was freezing in there, it felt like it had been empty for some time. (Not a problem we thought, it was December after all) We'll pop the fire on for some instant heat whilst the central heating kicks in. We soon discovered it was purely for show, and didn't work at all. Most of the living room furniture is extremely tired, the sofa is completely sat out and the dining chairs are ripped and taped up with black duct tape. It's such a shame and let's the place down. There's no homely welcoming touches either, eg: a pint of milk so you can have a cup of tea to warm you up on arrival. Pepper but no salt, one and a half toilet rolls. Some cleanliness needs addressing too, top surfaces were ok, but lower surfaces, sides of bedroom furniture were full of cobwebs and I was able to write clearly, 'clean me' in the dust. Sorry this sounds so negative when the bungalow itself is so lovely.

Good location and area, quiet area and enough space for myself husband and dog A stain in the hallway and ripped bedspread- we should of been advised of these things as they occurred prior to us checking in. I had to report it to host and stay as didnt want to be held responsible which i could of done without more attention to detail needed by whoever cleans and maintains the property.

Location and beds were comfy Quite dated, lacked simple additions like a lamp in the living room. Felt quite dated. Empty smell.

The location in Cayton village was excellent and extremely quiet and well looked after village. The immediate vicinity of the bungalow was also excellent and quiet. The bungalow's cleanliness could have been better. The free wi-fi took time to upload onto our personal devices.

Very nice little bungalow, everything was really comfortable and the kitchen was well stocked with plates, cutlery etc, noticed the outside lights didn't work which would be helpful when letting the dogs out late at night, area was very quiet and peaceful
