Location excellent<br/><br/>I would like to express my concerns over this booking and very late changes to your guidelines <br/> <br/>This booking was arranged well before my holiday began. I received confirmation of my booking and a form which clearly states I had to pay a waiver of GBP250 on arrival for any damages and not beforehand. I did not receive any emails from your Company until two days after my arrival in the UK and had no access to the internet and was unaware of the changes that had been made. I obviously had this amount readily available on the day, to pay as stated and, upon arriving at the premises there was no-one there to pay and I had to retrieve my Booking form and number to contact your Company outside the premises and was given the following information <br/> <br/>There was no mention of a GBP25 non-refundable deposit including administration costs on any correspondence received from you of which I feel I had already paid for in my booking, nor to my agreeing to transfer GBP250 direct from my credit card in any emails, which I was requested to do on the day of my arrival to gain entry with the number code. The young lady refused my entry unless I agreed to either of the above <br/> <br/>I eventually paid the GBP25 as to pay from my credit card and receive a refund in 14 days would have incurred me a different and much more expensive rate with the currency exchange between British pounds and Australian dollars <br/> <br/>Whilst I was very happy with the accommodation, I am not at all sure I will use Booking.com in the future when changes to your policy at the very last-minute covering costs for damaged goods is the way in which these bookings are conducted. I should have been informed of this in order to make a clarified decision as to how this would be paid. Being a respectable and conscientious female in someone else’s home there were no damages to anything within the apartment when I left <br/> <br/>I look forward to your reply and reimbursement <br/>Yours faithfully

Decent enough, did the trick. Nothing too fancy but slept comfortably and had all the necessary amenities<br/><br/>slightly dated decor but this wasn't an issue as we enjoyed our stay there and had more than enough positives. Parking was very difficult, ended up parking in a car park close by - 30ish quid for 24 hours

It was a decent comfortable property in a good location.<br/><br/>The toilet in the main bathroom was a little cramped and there was mould around the bath which could have been removed easily really. The blinds in the property didn’t really block out the sun light in the early mornings. Could have done with a wardrobe

Fairly speaking, the flat itself is good, clean and tidy. The location is good, 3 mins to the sea, although parking around sometimes could be very busy especially over the weekend. The bed is not too soft which we like, so slept well. The sitting room is spacious. The dining table is a bit unusual. it’s a big rectangular one right beside the wall, so felt a bit strange when we had meals together, as two of us were facing the wall. However this is not a big issue, and others might like this layout. Wipe cloth, sponge, washing liquid, toilet rolls were all provided. The kitchen has enough cutleries and cooking pans for four of us. Some basic cooking ingredients like black pepper, salt and some herbs were provided. There is a dishwasher but we didn’t use.<br/><br/>The agency is a nightmare. My booking confirmation says £250 refundable deposit, but I was asked for £300 & £10 admin fee for processing it. I told them this wasn’t said on the confirmation which is the contract between us and which they should follow! one of their staff initially recognised this and apologised, but next day this same person ask £300 deposit again like nothing happened! I was totally shocked. I contacted the agency’s customer service, but was only told “sorry, our deposit has now increased to £300”. This is too unreliable and tricky. I couldn’t trust them to pay full deposit and went for the damage waiver eventually (extra £30, NOT refundable). We still rate 7, cos it would be unfair for the house itself if we give 1.

Really beautiful flat on a quiet street, about 5 minutes walk from the sea. We really enjoyed staying here.

The property itself was great & in a fantastic location<br/><br/>At the point of booking the total price of the reservation was paid up front, non-refundable. So imagine my surprise when a week before the trip I was told I had to pay a further £25 before check-in instructions would be provided. This was to cover potential damage - but no mention of this was made at the point of booking. I refused to pay it as it wasn't part of our contractual arrangement & Host & Stay agreed to waive it. But the following day they changed their mind & tried to insist it was payable. Again I refused to pay it & they eventually agreed to waive it. So if they haven't changed their stanve be aware that "Host & Stay" will try to rip you off for £25 before agreeing to provide check in details.

It is a well-positioned flat - handy for the beach, high street and buses. The living room was roomy and there was plenty of light. The heating was very efficient.<br/><br/>Asking for extra money for insurance for damages after confirmation is cheeky (if not unethical). All costs should be up front. In light of this it was disappointing to find chipped mugs and plates as well as damaged kitchen surfaces. The kitchen was not as clean as expected.

The apartment was very light and airy. Beds were comfortable. <br/>Location was brilliant, everything is a short walk away.<br/><br/>The whole place was very dusty. <br/>Would benefit from having a washing machine.

The accommodation was in a great location to explore the delights of Whitstable. Good size and comfortable beds. Nice and quiet area. Would come again.

We absolutely loved our stay! They are clear pros, the pre-trip email had a mini website to reference. Onsite there’s a great manual, and check out the same online resources. <br/>It was immaculately clean and the Netflix amenity was welcomed with the nice selection of books. <br/>No faults at all. The fridge is smaller, so take a peek before you commit to groceries. It was perfect for us. <br/>We’ll be back and will happily rebook here.

Good location. Only two us in a flat for 4 so plenty of room. Clean, comfortable beds<br/><br/>Very cramped bathrooms made it difficult not to wet the floors. Basins very small causing water to drip onto cupboards below which were rather grubby. Some areas in need of some tlc. Sliding door to en suite noisy.

Dirty windows, smelly Fridge, Bad Blinds.

Rotten smell in fridge area , probably from under the fridge, needs a fixed mat at top of stairs as slippery and I nearly fell down stairs.Could do with fans. More instructions to work television , and lighter bedding. Small bathroom shower head needs descaling., water shoots out of door.Needs coat hangers.

The property is very comfortable with lots of space. It’s very close to the beach and a short, lovely walk to the town. Parking was easy and it was a great location from which to explore the area.<br/><br/>The bathrooms weren’t particularly clean, but hopefully that was a one off as the rest of the property was very tidy and well kept.

Breakfast wasn't provided. It was a five minute walk from the sea. It was clean and light with everything we needed. Good location to two cafes that did excellent breakfasts.<br/><br/>There were blinds at the bedroom windows that let in a lot of light.

Great location with both the Sea and Town easy to reach by foot. Apartment was well furnished and well equipped. Free street parking right outside the front door. Comfortable apartment that I would definitely book again.<br/><br/>The stairs leading into the apartment were very steep so tricky to manage when carrrying luggage.

The location was fantastic. Comfortable mattress with good quality pillows and duvet.<br/><br/>Lack of places to hang clothes (not coats) and only 2 hangers per room. Shower-head needed descaled and extractor fan was caked in thick dust. One bathroom only had half a toilet roll in it. Only one bedside lamp in each room. You had to lift the bed up to find the ironing board. The apartment felt grubby, lots of dust bunnies and a grimy hob. The outside of the windows were so dirty it was difficult to see out. The kitchen windows are blown, so you can’t see out of those. No cupboard space for food. Really noisy en-suite door which disturbed sleep during the night. Large patch of blood located on mattress protector, which should be replaced if the stain can’t be removed.

Amazing location and really nice space.

We loved the space. A well equipped Kitchen, and spacious Living-room which were great! <br/>Check in was super simple and it was great to be able to easily contact the rental company. <br/>The location is fantastic, quick access to the High Street or the beach.<br/><br/>The bathrooms were small. And the property hadn’t been deep cleaned for a while. I hunted for the ironing board which was under a bed and thick with dust. The air extraction in the bathroom was also thick with dust. <br/>There are no curtains at the windows (only blinds) so the bedrooms were really light in the morning. <br/>It is a bit tired, the property could do with new carpets and a lick of paint.

Location is fantastic because it is very central. The beach, businesses and transport is all within 5-10 minute walk. Fully equipped kitchen, good heating and two bathrooms were a plus<br/><br/>The stairs were a little steep which made managing suitcases difficult. But I think all the properties are designed like this so it is not the fault of the owner/property. If you are driving you will have a problem parking because there is no parking lot. This seems to be an issue for the whole street. Roads are also quite narrow.

We really enjoyed our stay, the apartment is very homely and in a great location. The kitchen is well equipped and the beds very comfortable, the towelling robes were a nice touch! We would recommend.

brilliant location just off the high street and close to the coast too. nice big sofa and to too.<br/><br/>it is quite small in the bedroom and bathrooms. would also be good to have oil for cooking and a few other bits so you don’t have to buy whole bottles etc.

A very central apartment. <br/>Very well equipped and close to the town centre and the beach. <br/>Kitchen was brilliant, we managed to cook three full meals and it had everything we needed for a good stay.<br/> <br/>The rooms were very clean and had everything we needed . Blue Fox were very good. The communication was excellent and clear and they checked in when needed and advised us how to check in and out. <br/>Unfortunately my daughter left an expensive coat at the apartment. <br/>At the time of writing this review I am not sure if I managed to get this back or not. It took three emails over 24 hours to get a reply and at the time of writing this, which is 2.5 days after checkout, I was no further forward on an answer on this...<br/>The only small thing was check out being very early at 10am, would be great if this could be slightly later, ie 11am, as all a bit stressful with children and trying to make sure apartment was clean and tidy when we left.

There was no breakfast included - however we knew that in advance. We did our own had a really lovely stay and the welcome book is fantastic gives loads of info.<br/><br/>Parking - it took us an hour to park but we did do it in the end.

This is a gorgeous apartment in an amazing location, just perfect for town and the beach. Very comfortable, lovely decor, well equipped, clean and cosy. Stairs are steep, as noted, including when passing by the top on the landing, which is a bit scary, so maybe not good for kids or anyone with mobility issues. Bathrooms are tight, but high spec. Tricky to get near the loo in one of them. All other rooms are good sized and nicely furnished. No problems with neighbours, though I think they had a seance on Sat night! ? Overall, highly recommended and we would stay again.<br/><br/>Communication was impersonal and automated, but sufficient and we had no problems except that it says you can leave your bags inside the door/lobby for a few hours after checkout, but there really isn't space to do so and the cleaners didn't have any idea about this so we didn't feel comfortable to leave them.

Location. Having Amazon Prime and Netflix. This SHOULD be included in the description of the flat as it was a BIG attraction when we fancied a relaxing night in.<br/><br/>We asked for directions as we walked around Whitstable but a street map would would have been appreciated. The flush of the toilet in the bathroom takes approx. 30 minutes to pop up again and is noisy during this time. The bath needs a shower mat or non-stick surface under the shower! The ensuite shower needs to be unclogged - stood in a pool of water! I don't think it had been cleaned due to 3 black body hairs! In the kitchen a drainer would be helpful for hand washing & a towel for drying hands appreciated. The glass paned door to the lounge has a broken handle on the side of the lounge - we had closed the door and thankfully slid the catch & opened it - we thought we were going to be stuck the night there as we would have had to wait until the next morning to call and speak to you for assistance! <br/> <br/>The mattress protector had stains! Stained pillows - needs pillow protectors! Body hair in the ensuite shower tray! On the page to work the TV/Netflix etc. a strand of black hair & similar black hair on the sofa which I removed. My bracelet broke and when I bent down to the carpet to pick up the beads I found other 'bits' on the carpet ie, had not been vacuumed well. <br/> <br/>Due to the hair on the sofa and shower tray, yucky standing in pooled water in ensuite shower plus carpets not vacuumed well; in fact I do not think the shower tray was cleaned at all. In spite of very comfy mattresses, we felt creeped out sleeping on the beds with stains under the pillowcases and sheets. <br/> <br/>£120 charge to my friend and I for Covid deep clean - we consider that we were hugely overcharged for reasons - above. <br/> <br/>Minor thing - include a microwave? (not a deal breaker)

location is perfect -2mins from the beach, thereis limited on street parking but we did always manage to get it. the lounge is decent size, good TV.<br/><br/>no microwave, could certainly of been a bit cleaner, needed some more kitchen utensils/cutlery, and it would be nice if basics like foil could be provided. The rooms are very small, as always with british seaside holidays you pay a lot for what you get.

Great location, we could walk to everything. Lovely furnishings and facilities. Everything we needed was there. Both rooms were double beds and the bathrooms were lovely and modern.<br/><br/>Duvets on the beds were a bit hot for the summer weather, would be good to just have a sheet and throw.

This property is a little gem but not that little. Great facilities and beautiful comfy beds. Would recommend to any one. Very good for two couples.<br/><br/>They can’t change this but the stairs from the front are very steep.

This property is well located, within walking distance of many useful facilities and the beach is an easy walk away. The bed we used was comfortable and there are two shower room, one with a bath and a well equipped kitchen. The TV is modern and the heating, if needed, is easy to switch on. The locals are friendly and there is a very good cafe nearby for breakfast.<br/><br/>Parking can be an issue, but we hired someone’s drive and so it didn’t matter. We would have liked a Microwave, but that didn’t matter either.

Nice holiday apartment. Bit difficult to park the car if it's busy but a carpark is close by. Near the beach, the Highstreet with shops and pubs and near the habor. On the corner of the street is a litte place called the Windy Corner who serves a lovely breakfest. Apartment is on the first floor with steep stairs. It has two nice size bedrooms with comfy beds. However the current blinds won't keep the ligt out so its bright and sunny in the room at 04.30. If you need to sleep in a darker room or got a migraine with need to stay in the dark that can be a problem here. Overall we had a few lovely days in this apartment.The owner communicates well en quick by mail, entry and leaving is with a code so absolutely fine so we would certainly recommend it.

Die Lage ist ideal, die Räume sind hell. Das Einchecken ging durch einen Schlüsselsafe sehr gut. WLAN funktioniert gut, Seife und Shampoo stehen an allen Stellen bereit. <br/>Die Betten sind bequem und es gibt Bademäntel.<br/><br/>Leider war das Appartement nicht sauber, wir mussten alle Gläser erst einmal spülen, die Schränke, Küchenutensilien, Töpfe und Teller waren teilweise in unappetitlichem Zustand, auf der Bettwäsche waren Flecken, sah aus wie Makeup. <br/>Es gibt keinen eigenen Parkplatz, obwohl angegeben und die Parkplatzsituation auf der Straße ist teilweise katastrophal. Wir hatten schon am ersten Tag ein Knöllchen über 25£.<br/>Das Appartement ist keine 250 m2 wie in der Wohnungsbeschreibung angegeben, 75 m2 ist, denke ich, zutreffender.<br/>Die Treppe in die erste Etage ist steil und eng, für ältere Menschen und schweres Gepäck nicht optimal. <br/>Wir haben versucht Kontakt zum Vermieter aufzunehmen, der hat sich aber nicht zurück gemeldet.

The flat was super cute and cosy, although while we went it was snowing and could get really cold at times despite the heating being on. Despite this the space is a really lovely comforting space and perfect for small groups who want to spend time together. Blue fox also regularly checked up on us and were easy to contact, and the location 1 min from the beach. Would recommend to people who are looking for a small getaway or a chance to reconnect with one another!

Sail away is a really nice place to stay, very comfortable and well equipped. We had a really nice family trip. Everything was clean and the beds are really comfy. The location is perfect, very close to the beach and city centre, and we really recommend Windy's coffee shop next door. We had no problem parking for free in the street but it might be an issue during high season. Over all we would definitely stay there again.

A beautiful spot to explore Whitstable from, not far from the quaint highstreet and near enough to the sea front. Beds very comfy with lovely linen. Well equipped kitchen and particularly enjoyed the inbuilt ceiling speakers/radio! <br/>Thank you for a lovely stay. We really fell in love with Whitstable and would highly recommend.

Clean and tidy place in centre of town and 10 mins from harbour. Parking was easy but can imagine it might be difficult in peak season.

Sail Away is a great apartment with really nice location in central Whitstable and just 5 min walk away from seaside. The apartment is cosy and equipped with a handy kitchen and really comfortable bedrooms. It’s a great location to explore Canterbury, Margate and Whitstable. The stairs to get to the apartment is probably too narrow and little difficult to get luggage and car seat and pram upstairs.

The property is set in a perfect location close to the beachfront and had is well stocked with all the items you are likely to need for the duration of your stay.<br/><br/>Very disappointingly, we discovered large brown stains on our duvet when we arrived at the property and the en-suite bathroom had some plumbing issues. Unfortunately, our disappointment was compounded by the holiday rental company, Blue Fox Rentals, failing to respond and fix the issues we reported to them on the first day of our visit. They also failed to respond to our subsequent texts and voicemail messages.

The location on a very quiet road midway between the high street and the sea is just ideal. The property was very clean and extremely well presented. Would recommend for two couples or a small family.<br/><br/>Both bedrooms are a bit tight but manageable.

Danniella at Blue Fox was an incredibly responsive host. Solutions were immediately offered to address the minor issues we had with cleaning and did not impact our stay in this lovely apartment. Close to the beach, close to the shops and restaurants, but in a very quiet road - it ticked all the boxes. We wouldn’t hesitate to stay again.

Cleanliness of kitchen was terrible, all cutlery, crockery, had to be cleaned before we could use it. Cooker hood and splashback in a terrible state, under beds filthy, skirting boards and windows filthy, blinds and windows in each room look like they have never been cleaned. Overall in need of a a deep clean . Bathrooms had mould around seal lines.Notified the landlord and cleaning agency, still awaiting an answer from them. I feel my input has been ignored. Would not recommend this property unless it has been cleaned adequately. Rubbish bins not emptied, rammed full of previous weeks smelly rubbish, flies around the bins and in very dirty porch and entrance to flats.

Lovely location, close to the beach (3 mins at most) with plenty to do in the area. Lots of choice in places to eat.

Beautiful accommodation for a short trip to Whitstable. Ideal location, a few minutes walk to the beach but still quiet. Check in was very simple, and we found the tips for the local area a helpful touch. Hosts were in touch via text to check we had everything we needed. We managed to park on the road which was great, but spots were few and far between so bare that in mind.

A very well appointed flat in a great central location. Beds were comfortable with nice linen and pillows. Ideal location for a weekend in Whitstable. Parking a little difficult, and car parks are available but pricey - that’s the only downside… other than that it was lovely

A great place to stay in a fantastic location super close to the sea and all local amenities. Really easy, smooth check in with a helpful and detailed handbook provided for all information. Really enjoyed our stay and would recommend. Only main issue is parking is difficult on the road, but we found places close by, was just tricky when arriving/departing with bags. Pros —<br/>Great location, nice and comfortable apartment. Walkable distance from everything Whitstable offers. <br/>Cons —<br/>Contrary to listing there is no on site parking and there are no spots on the road, we had to use nearby car parks. The Internet is probably fine for a weekend if you’re not going to be in much, but if you’re trying to work from home, it’s not good enough. We had to spend the first hour cleaning the kitchen. No communication from host when we had issues.

The place was excellently located in Whitsable and was only a short walk from the station and with good parking. My bed was comfier than my one at home, and all the facilities and amenities we needed. Communication from Blue Fox was also great leading up to the event so everything was clearly explained before we arrived. The apartment was also filled with little touches that made our stay so much easier, like the handy guide on nice places to visit nearby, and the coffee sachets, board games box and dishwasher tablets. Would definitely recommend a stay here.

A lovely place. Tastefully decorated, very clean and a great location. Big enough for our family and a two minute stroll to the beach. Easy to park on the street and Whitstable is beautiful. We'd highly recommend.

Lovely, tranquil flat in a wonderful location. We loved the calming white decor and extremely comfortable bed. Great cafe a few doors down with delicious pastries and coffee.

The place is located in a perfect spot of Whitstable, quiet and very close to the sea. The apartment is very spacious, comfortable and well equipped. After the whole day outside, you can expect to sleep there like a baby!

Nice flat in a quiet street, close enough to leave the car and explore gorgeous Whitstable from. Flat had everything you needed, we stayed two nights with two kids and had a lovely relaxing time.

Fab location! It could not be a better spot, so close to the beach and the brilliant Old Neptune pub on the beach. The Windy cafe at the end of the road is perfect for a morning coffee and breakfast. As a group of friends coming to stay for a few days and explore whitstable it couldn’t have been better! The beds were so comfy and I would love to know what detergent is used on the sheets cause they smelt amazing! Check in and check out is so easy. I would definitely recommend and would stay again myself if visiting Whitstable in the future. Thanks so much!

This place is great, particularly for its location - it's literally a 5 minute walk from the beach and 5 minutes from the high street also. There are great cafes, restaurants and pubs around too. The apartment itself was really nicely done out and had basically everything we needed for our stay, including a pretty well equipped kitchen. The only small downer was that the advert stated it came with breakfast but there wasn't anything at the flat when we arrived. In spite of that, I would highly recommend this place for anyone looking to stay in Whitstable.

Great location and layout of apartment. Unfortunately we found the place grubby and spent the first hour cleaning. Thick layer of dust/hairs on stairway and dirty window sills, we really thought the place had not been hoovered for weeks. Host was quick to reply, sent cleaner the next day whilst we were out, but amazingly still neglected to hoover. Enjoyed our stay but would have moved out if there was somewhere else available.

Nice flat in a quiet street, and only a short walk away from the seafront! The high street is only a minute or so from the flat which gives you quick access to all the shops / cafes / pubs.
