Very spacious, and comfortable. My friends enjoyed the hot-tub, and the dogs the treats.
Very handy for the pub, and an easy walk into town.

Took 2 phone calls taking over an hour to get in after being given the wrong box code. No sockets near the beds in the twin and bunk bed rooms.

Property is very well equipped, comfortable, clean and in an excellent location.

Very unnerving that the neighbour in the adjacent property has a hole cut out of his door overlooking the entrance to the rental property. He sat watching and smirking at us unload our possessions into the cottage, very unpleasant start.

The property was immaculate in terms of decor and everything was very clean. Comfortable and well stocked with everything needed for the stay. The hot tub was a great bonus. Location was perfect too and we were able to walk to everywhere we wanted to go.

Driveway was a bit tricky to get out of but very smack and insignificant issue really

Good central location and hot tub was lovely. Living area spacious and comfortable.

The hob was quite difficult to use and they needed to let people know the unlock button had to be held down for a while. The owner did not seem to know this and just said « there’s a knack to it ». The temperature knob in shower in en-suite was stuck so the water was just above cold. Pillows in main bedroom old and lumpy.

Super property in a fab location. Great beds, comfy furniture, lovely kitchen and an amazing hot tub. Happy to go again and to recomend

The one little problem was that the key code sent in the messages from the letting agency didn’t work, and we had to call the agent, but they quickly gave us the right one

Fabulous property, very clean. Hot tub maintained regularly was cleaned when we were there by the contractor. Very well equipped with everything you would need. Good size fridge and freez
Property is close to lovely cafes and a brilliant Italian restaurant, La Familglia.

Location was great, very close to town centre and amenities on the doorstep. The outdoor spaces have been very nicely done. The hot tub was fantastic and this area was secluded and private. The living area and kitchen is very spacious and well equipped.

The bedroom arrangements are aimed at families. There are 3 good sized bedrooms, one has a double bed and en-suite, one has bunk beds and the other children's twin beds. Whilst bunk beds are fine for children, twin beds or a small double would have been preferable. This would allow 6 adults or 3 couples to use the cottage. The current bedroom set up is only comfortable for groups of 4 friends. Especially when the outdoor areas; seating at the front of the house and hot tub at the rear are more suited to adults.

Excellent location. Newly renovated with modern taste, Friendly owner.

No seating in the hot tub area, only outdoor seating out on front lawn on main road, minor niggles were squeaky metal beds in twin room, no chopping board and tv remote unreliable.

Wow what a brilliant family Christmas we had in the cottage. Very clean, spacious and cozy. We couldn't have asked for anymore. The hot tub was an amazing benefit and was a god send after a busy Christmas day. Would definitely stay again.

Nothing to do with the accommodation. The only negative that I can say is when messaging Host and Stay to ask a couple of questions I never received an answer to any of them so ended up phoning them instead and still haven't received an answer. When an answer was given it began with "well I would think that......" in other words I don't have a clue! Not helpful!

Great location and the house was very roomy. Close to facilities and the beach. Also the hot tub was nice.

Beds were not comfortable, with cheap squeaky metal frames, several areas needed a deep clean with thick dust present. Presumably the owner, would keep coming in the hot tub area to put clips back on the cover (which had zero chance of coming loose) and moving the drinks we had stored outside down on to the floor for no apparent reason. That just felt a little uncomfortable as it felt like we were being watched . The constant reminders of the check out time felt overbearing like we were being rushed out.

Amble is a great place to stay to explore Northumbria, and Blacksmiths Cottage is a comfortable and well equipped place to make your base. It’s a friendly town with a high street with local businesses still, it has a working harbour, and two great seafood suppliers. Rachel at the cottage has been very helpful and friendly.

Beautiful property in a lovely town with lots to do. The cottage had everything we could have needed and more for a long weekend trip. We didn’t have the pleasure of meeting the owners when they came to check the hot tub, but we did have a lovely stay and felt they had put a lot of care and thought in to the renovation and overall presentation of the cottage. Even the dogs were sad to go home (our girl loved the dog bed!) Thank you for a wonderful stay!
