Property Details

The Space
Enter the property to discover a quirky and cosy living/dining room, with hard wood floors, fabric sofas, a stone hearth feature fireplace and a selection of contemporary and carefully chosen vintage pieces.

The dining area seats 6 people and features a mis-matched dining table, bench and chairs. Facing the large bay window this space is the perfect spot to enjoy breakfast in the morning light.

The soft furnishings and plush, textured rugs add colour to this large welcoming space. After a day exploring you can relax in front of the flat screen television, enjoy your favourite book in the window seat or enjoy a family meal around the dining table.

The separate u-shaped kitchen is well-equipped with an oven, gas stove top, microwave, refrigerator, dishwasher, washer-dryer and ample storage. With plenty of worktop space you’ll have everything you need to prepare fresh ingredients for a delicious home-cooked meal.

On the ground floor you will find the first of the three bedrooms. This is a large twin room with two single beds, a vintage chest of drawers and wooden clothes rail with shoe shelf. This bright space features a soft natural palette with seashell themed artwork and green toned soft furnishings.

The relaxing garden room with desk opens out with French doors onto the well-kept pretty cottage garden with an arbour, flowering shrubs and plants, a small lawn and a pear and plum tree. The garden offers a lovely little sun trap perfect for al-fresco dining.

The family bathroom is situated on the ground floor. Featuring a bath with overhead shower, WC and basin. The walls are panelled with French Grey paneling creating a real ‘cottage feel’.

Upstairs you will discover the remaining two double bedrooms and a second WC. The first spacious double bedroom is neutrally styled with pale walls, crisp white linen and leaf print cushions. Character runs through the bedroom with dark wood beams overhead. A lovely vintage set of drawers that fits perfectly into the eaves and a wicker armchair finish off the room perfectly.

Between the two bedrooms is a small WC and basin.

The second room features a double bed tucked neatly under the apex of the roof. The small bedside table and lamp make this spot perfect for hiding away and enjoying some peace and quiet. At night the Velux window overhead lets you enjoy the star lit sky from the bed.

Good location with everything you needed Had to immediately go out and buy toilet roll the evening we arrived as there was only one in the downstairs toilet

We had a lovely stay in Rosebank Cottage. Very central location and the property was clean and tidy. The website doesn’t mention that a deposit needs to be paid beforehand so one thing to consider if you’re staying.

The location was ok. The key box is faulty and it took a lot of getting into. The front door lock is faulty and doesnt always open. The back garden doors are far from secure. The bathroom is very dated and unsuitable. Sealing around the bath ugly and worn out. To many emails from the host. Continually going back and forth. Made it complicated to book.

Lovely cottage well decorated very homley. Very quiet location. Close to town about 10 minutes walk. Cute little garden with seating area. Really comfortable beds. Lots of towels available. Lower floor twin room two doubles in roof space, not great for tall people. Upstairs loo also. Loved our stay. Perhaps not for young party people as quiet residential area. Everything available for great stay. Communication with host brilliant. Love Saltburn summer or winter. Only on road parking not an issue for us. Two first floor rooms at in eaves be careful if tall, I banged my head on regular basis. Not super modern more cute and quaint.

Loved the little snug in the back garden, and the sofas and beds were comfier than other places we've stayed.

The property was lovely however it was badly looked after. Rugs, sofas and cushions badly stained. When we arrived the property was not clean (hair and mould in fridge, crumbs all over kitchen and dirty toilets). However once cleaners arrived once more it was much better. The property is in a great location but the £90 cleaning fee was extortionate considering it was unclean.

Clean, comfy, well equipped. Upstairs was a bit low so don't advise for over 6 footers, put them downstairs.

Great cosy cottage - close to the beach and Saltburn centre. Very well equipped with plenty of on street parking available. The upstairs rooms do have low ceilings/beams but they were perfect for our kids.

This is a lovely cottage only a 10 minute walk away from the beach and a 5 minute walk from the station. We had a great time here but prospective guests should be aware of two things. 1. The ceilings in the upstairs bedrooms (the two doubles) and the toilet are sloped and quite low. I'm only 5' 8"/172 cm tall and I hit my head several times. 2. Guests must agree to the Superhog guest agreement (superhog *dot* com/superhog-guest-agreement/) in order to stay here. In particular clause 5.7 stipulates that a "photographic record" must be taken in order to protect guests from being blamed for damage.

Location good. Beds comfortable. Kitchen well equipped. No problem with street parking Minor irritations:shower "tripped" three times Cobwebs in upstairs toilet Pint of milk left in fridge was out of date This did not detract from holiday, overall experience was good

Great stay! The street was very quiet and within walking distance to the beach. Well stocked shop at the end of the road too! We had a toddler, teenagers and grandparents with us during our stay and everyone enjoyed it. The bonus addition of Netflix went down well with the children

Lots of space, excellent location. Nice to have garden space. Well equipped. Rooms comfortable... mattresses really comfy! Oven not working and leak in upstairs toilet. Stairs really steep and no handrail on top half... should be in description, also head height in upstairs bedroom and toilet not good. Manageable but again should be mentioned as we are all shortish but tall people would struggle.

everything it is a very nice and well kept property the floor boards in the top bedroom to the left of the stairs felt like they were going to go through when stepped on, pillows just a little too high

This was a beautiful, light and airy property. It was perfect for a family and really well equipped for those who were keen to self cater. We were really impressed by the quality of the property, including bedding and towels. The children really enjoyed the little garden. It was a short walk to town and we enjoyed the delights of Saltburn. We had a great few days.

The cottage provided us with a homely place to meet with our northern relatives . We had an enjoyable stay. Tall people might like to dress in the nice warm downstairs bathroom to avoid the beams in the dormer bedrooms. The description in accurate and the cost fair.

This was a lovely, comfortable cottage, great location for shops and beach. Clean and well equipped with very comfortable beds and the enclosed garden was fabulous for our dog. All in all a lovely stay, we would recommend to others. Many thanks!

We stayed here during a very cold spell, but found the accommodation very warm and comfortable. It is spacious, very well furnished and equipped, and is well maintained. The house is very centrally located, with easy access to shops, cafes etc and just a short walk to the seafront. We would not hesitate to recommend it for anyone wishing to stay in Saltburn.

My family had a fab stay at Rosebank Cottage in Saltburn. It was in a great location, a close walk to town and the sea. The property was a great size for us with teenagers and the garden was great for the dog. Communication was prompt and clear even though we booked last minute! Will definitely be back-Saltburn is beautiful.

Perfect location, only 5 mins from the seafront. The bungalow has everything you need in the kitchen. The Bungalow is in need of renovation, big cracks in the walls in the livingroom and the bathroom needs some TLC. We went as a family and the bedroom layout wasn’t ideal. The two double beds upstairs were under the eves , which resulted in a few banged heads. It’s described as two bathrooms, only one shower.

Amazing cottage and perfect location, the fish and chip shop around the corner is excellent with shops close buy for any essentials. Walking distance from the prom, beach and small town centre with some lovely shops. The cottage is bright and has all the comforts of home. Reading other reviews we did take eye masks to ensure a good nights sleep, this is more so in the downstairs bedroom, there are shutters but the top ornate windows let in a lot of light. Upstairs the blinds work well. We will definitely book to stay again.

Rosebank Cottage is in a good location close to the town and the coast (although it is a fairly long uphill walk from the promenade & the lift wasn't working). Due to the current situation we took all our food & drink and the cottage was well equipped for us to prepare meals. We called for drinks in the local bars & restaurants which are in easy (& flat) walking distance and were well organised. The cottage has 3 bedrooms & we used the one downstairs. The upstairs bedrooms are in the eves of the house and may be a bit tight if 6 adults are using the cottage. Overall we had a good stay as a couple and found Saltburn-by-the-Sea and surrounding area a delightful place to walk and explore.
