Neighborhood
Shipyard Studio not only offers stunning views right on your doorstep but also one of the most convenient locations in Wells-next-the-Sea. With numerous amenities, shops, and cafés just minutes away, it's the perfect base for your stay. The quayside is just a 2-3 minute walk, lined with restaurants, ice cream shops, and arcades. A little further along brings you to Staithe Street, a charming pedestrianized road filled with independent stores, tourist shops, and food outlets.

Situated so close to the water and salt marshes, you may even be treated to the sight and sound of geese flying overhead, especially during the winter months, making this spot ideal for bird watchers.

Continue along Staithe Street, and you'll find yourself at Buttlands Green, where you'll discover a selection of pubs and restaurants, including local favorites like The Globe Inn and The Crown, both popular with visitors and locals alike.

A visit to Wells Beach is a must during your stay! From the car park and seaside café, you can wander through the pine wood forest that sits behind the beach and emerge at the iconic, colorful beach huts for which Wells is famous. When the tide goes out, it reveals shallow pools of water, perfect for children to explore and play in. The vast stretches of sand also offer a perfect spot for sunbathing and a more traditional beach day. Being one of the closest properties to the beach in Wells, Shipyard Studio is about a 25-minute walk to the shoreline, or just a few minutes by car.

Beyond Wells, there are plenty of coastal towns and beaches to explore, such as Brancaster, Blakeney, Salthouse, and Sheringham, all within easy reach by car. Inland towns like Holt also make for great day trips. Holkham Hall and the Holkham National Nature Reserve are just a couple of miles away and should definitely be added to your must-visit list during your stay.
