Location was okay and the cleanliness was good. On the photos it clearly shows a fridge freezer however the properly only has a very small fridge so I feel the photos should be updated because we stayed for Christmas and I took all my Christmas food for 6 people and when I arrived to find the photos were misleading as there was no fridge freezer I actually didn’t have enough fridge space to put all my food away so it cost me money when I had to throw away food that needed to be stored in a fridge but wouldn’t fit in. I immediately contacted Host and Stay with my issues and there was no offer off resolution. There was only one key which made it difficult if we didn’t all want to go out together, one of the bedrooms didn’t have curtains so the light flooded in early morning and the tv was a Samsung brand which only had Samsung channels not proper freeview as advertised. I have stayed in Host and Stay properties many times at Christmas and there has always been at least a Christmas tree and I had children with me so this was very disappointing but all of my issues I did raise but they weren’t dealt with. Photo off fridge included to show it’s not the one in the property advertisement

We really liked that there are three bedrooms. The kitchen was well equipped. The supermarket, train station and restaurants are within walking distance if you are healthy. (The house is on a slight slope) If you travel in autumn or winter and get cold easily, you should take extra blankets or a hot water bottle with you.

Nice location and good value

The location is very good and is quiet, also we were able to park our car near to the house which offered us peace of mind in terms of security. Nothing really, the bed was a little uncomfortable but that was only due sleeping on a softer mattress at home. The window in back bedroom nearest to the bathroom also needs attention as we were unable to open this due to a broken lock and the electric socket nearest to this near the wardrobe is very lose and needs attention.

It was clean. 1Broken washing machine.2 could not open back door out to the patio,as the lock was broken.3,back bedroom double electric socket coming of the wall. 4 double electric socket in lounge coming off the wall.5, television normally stations not available, 6.front bedroom lamps one broken one has to be on the floor as wire is to short. 7, back of one dining chair came off when lifted to move it. ECT ECT.

The unit was not too bad needs maintenance and investment. However Host and Stay a singularly rge worst organization in the holiday booking market and should be avoided at all costs you will regret using them if anything goes wrong

Location was good, walking distance to the centre, However, not suitable for people with mobility issues, stair are steep. Mattress on king bed was hard

A good space to stay in, location good if a little uphill. Not really set up for self-catering though as kitchen lacking a range of pans etc- also no bread knife - but ample plates, mugs etc if all you want to do is sort breakfast before going out for the day. Excellent over-bath shower & generous supply of towels for a 10 night stay Cleaning equipment - hard floors could have done with being swept every few days but there was no broom/dustpan & brush

Cleanliness of the house. Location was ok. The rear yard needs some attention. Clean the floor and paint the walls. It would be more inviting to sit out and share a bottle of wine. Get rid of the false flowers and tree in the yard, as they look cheap.

The location was good. We didn't dislike anything.

Leaving the place. Access to bathroom is lethal. Bed on floor, no legs to it. Plaster flakes all over beds and floor plus screws sticking out of walls. Extremely steep staircase to second floor with no handrail in places. Main stairs also steep. Loose electrical socket. I could not stay due to the dangerous bathroom access so completely ruined my weekend. Only 5 dining chairs in 6 bed house.

Comfy beds. A Warm and cozy house. The dinning chairs were very unsteady.

A great location. Easy walk into Whitby centre. Lovely clean warm and spacious house It was a little difficult to find a parking spot but once we got one we left the car there and we didn’t need the car again.

It was warm for part of our stay Toilet seat was broken and had to be removed by us, tried to repair it but was reluctant as it had dried pooh on it so obviously not cleaned properly. Central heating stopped working so had a few backwards and forwards emails so had to follow manual to re set. Easy enough but not what I was expecting. House up a steep incline so not for anyone with mobility issues. Also didn't appreciate at least 6 automated emails telling me check out Time.

it was close to the town centre with a good choice of close by shops, literally streets away. The climb back up the hill

Location was really good , beds comfy, house good size and clean. Not so good for people with poor mobility.. The stair arrangement at top of first flight of stairs and the bathroom was a little difficult ton negotiate if you were unsteady on your feet.

Washer was broken so couldn’t wash under 4’s soiled underwear and general clothes. The court yard was filthy and not been swept for a long time, so had to sweep it before little one’s go go outside
22/07/2022
The stairs and the steps between the landing and the bathroom would be difficult/unsafe for a less mobile person.
17/07/2022
Convenient place for our family of 6 as we visited Whitby and other coastal towns.
27/06/2022
The size was good and in good proximity to the town centre. It had everything we needed for the weekend. There was a wobbly chair and only 5 chairs altogether, had there been 6 we would have struggled. The rear yard could have more done to it

Property was clean and position regarding Whitby was good. Kitchen equipment was lacking, Drain in the yard was partly blocked. Instructions on using cooker, and washing machine would have been helpful. Washing machine did not work properly. No curtains in the front bedroom so light came in. Cupboards were clearly not checked as there were 3 broken glasses.and some of the crockery was dirty - bearing in mind £90 of the rent was for cleaning. Just to say that we have never complained about a property before. Did you hire cowboys to do the maintenance? Also we do not think this property is suitable for people with mobility issues or young children.

Handy for town. Managed to get parked close by which was good
15/05/2022
proximity to centre of Whitby. well equipped, well presented and clean internally would have liked a mirror and somewhere to hang clothes in the top bedroom. stairs configuration by bathroom was a bit dodgy - needed care to avoid any accidents! outdoor area was not fit to use.

There`s a step going into the bathroom which one of us fell over, there needs to be a sign on the door Mind the step.Apart from that it was a nice place in a good location.
11/04/2022
Location was ok. There were a few issues with the property, Toilet roll holder and towel holder were loose on wall. Shower head was leaking. Toilet lid/seat had to be held up when taking a pee. No curtains in 2nd bedroom to block light. Cheap dining room chair broke when it was sat on. Curtain pole brackets were loose in dining room. Door to bathroom location is dangerous - should be at least 600mm from first step of staircase - my partner nearly fell down the whole stairs when she missed the step coming out of the bathroom. More attention to upkeep of property, could do with a maintenance man to correct a few issues.

Great location, short walk into town and close to restaurants, bars, shops. Spacious bedrooms, well equipped kitchen. Only issue is parking which can be tricky at busy times. we were lucky and managed to get a space right outside the house.
