Great location, little further out of Whitby town centre but worked well for us. Parking 3 cars was fine on the street outside. Only negative was the squeaky bed in one of the bedrooms meant a lack of sleep, would’ve been ok for 1 night but not great for any longer.

Good location, a short drive from Whitby and Robin Hood's Bay and next to a pub doing great food. Bedrooms had comfortable beds and lounge was well laid out for socialising and relaxation. Overall experience was let down by things that could be easily remedied with a bit more care from the owner. The house was not well stocked with things we needed. A shame because otherwise the house is good, including an excellent stove for cooking on.

We had a great stay at Atlanta cottage. The location was great for exploring the coast, only 10 minutes to Whitby and Robin hoods Bay. The cottage was lovely and had great space for us all. The only thing I would say is that it needs a good clean. This did not take away from our stay however and we still had a great time. We just felt a little attention to detail was needed. The garden was perfect, very secure and as we have a greyhound it was great for him to run around in. We would stay here again if in the area, perfect for a family getaway.

The house is in a nice location and the garden and living room are nice. The house is quite tired however, doesn't reach the "luxurious" and "smart" description in the listing, with some broken chairs, very functional kitchen with some rusty and broken utensils, cutlery and crockery not very clean, a broken shower door and extractor fan. It was a nice setting and we had a lovely time, the house was just a little disappointing from the listing.

Lovely cottage with spacious living room and separate dining room. Bedrooms were nicely decorated, though the stairs to the top floor were quite steep. Good sized garden as well. We enjoyed the visit.

We had a great stay. Family of eight aged 75 to 1 year plus 2 dogs. Brilliant location, convenient and local pub has fantastic Sunday lunch. Lots of positives . Hosts and owner responsive and helpful. We had some issues with power cuts but the electrician showed my husband what to do so it didn’t spoil our stay . The problem was connected to the oven which needs to be serviced. Overall the property was tired which is reflected in the price. It was surface clean ( under sofas , skirting etc need a good clean). Lots of things don’t work ie shower door, chest of drawers etc. Kitchen cupboards need a really good sort out . Stairs are very steep . We had to be very vigilant Beds are comfortable and clean. Stair Gates would be a really good idea and would help with the dogs . Garden was secure and quite large . Parking is on the road outside and we had 4 cars and it wasn’t a problem. It really wouldn’t take much to sort out what could be a lovely property. We all enjoyed our break though.

Great stay at Atlanta Cottage with family. Spacious accommodation with a lovely living area & great enclosed garden - ideal if travelling with children or a dog. Shame the weather didn’t allow us to make the most of it! The property is well located to explore Whitby, a short drive away, and other surrounding areas. The Cinder Track is also easily accessible near to the property. Hare & Hounds pub next door is well worth a visit - incredible food & friendly staff. Only negative points are as follows - the bed in the bedroom on the right was extremely creaky and meant the person staying in there didn’t sleep well as any movement woke them up. The stairs to the attic are very steep & some people may find these difficult to climb up/down. In addition, noise could be heard clearly in the attic from the floor below, so much so it disturbed our baby while sleeping. Just a few things to consider if booking the property to capacity.

We stayed as a group of adults and had a brilliant time. The house was perfectly located to have trips out to Whitby and Robin Hoods Bay really easily. We had everything we needed in the house and the host sent through really helpful instructions. we also brought 2 dogs and again, had everything we needed. a lovely sized garden to play in and space to spend time together as a family. we had a brilliant stay thank you.

It’s a great location and the house has a lovely enclosed garden , safe for children to play out and great for guests with dogs. On street parking was available for one car during our visit , our other car parked in the pub carpark by the back garden gate - we paid the Pub £2.50 per night for this.

Loved the stay, a beautiful cottage.. the only criticism I would give is that there was no basic cooking ingredients, we had to go and buy some more salt and pepper, batteries for the clocks and oil when you know your not going to use much anyway.. I would recommend taking what you need if you are going to cook otherwise it is a lovely place and perfect location!

Great family stay, lovely sun trap secure garden, great location. Bed in front bedroom was very loose and needs securing/tightening but wasn’t too much of an issue. Location was brilliant for us.

I have to start off by saying if you fill the property to capacity it would be an extremely cheap deal for the area. I must say the pub next to the Airbnb was amazing the food was outstanding. However we had a lot of issues during our stay, it was not cleaned well enough so incidentally was dirty. We also had no hot water for the first 24 hours we did get someone out to help eventually but only after speaking to Airbnb to complain. Host and stay only sent someone out after Airbnb reached out to host and stay. the washing machine is completely broken and would not work just soaked our clothes. don't even try and use it. It is not a well thought out place or looked after/maintained at all. Mould in the bathroom. very dissatisfied and disappointed.

3 generations stayed here along with our 2 dogs. the oldest, 74, to the youngest, 12. The cottage had plenty of space for us to spread out and a roomy central lounge we could gather in the evenings around the log burner. The dogs loved zooming around the garden and their daily walk along the cinder path which can be accessed easily from the property. Excellent bus service every 30 min - could be in Whitby or Robinhoods Bay in minutes without having to drive and worry about parking. Aldi, Sainsbury and B&M an easy short drive away for convenience. Definitely recommend

A stones throw from both whitby and Robin Hoods Bay. With a fantastic pub two doors down, which serves brilliant food. The property was well equiped and tidy. People should however be made aware of the 'damage deposit' or compulsory insurance that wasn't made clear prior to booking.

This beautiful big house was a great place to host my birthday with 6 people. The dining room and lounge room had a lot of comfy and homey features. We all loved our beds especially the one in the loft with skylight. Lots of stuff provided dishwasher and laundry detergent, coal to burn, plates and beautiful glasses etc. next time I will bring firewood and toilet paper but really the host were so great and helpful. I can't wait to go there again. Nice dinner at the pub 2 doors up and 10 mins drive to Robin Hoods Bay Beach where we had good coffee, lunch and did beach fossicking.

We had a great few days at Atlanta cottage, lots of space for the 8 of us, nice big garden, great living room, comfy beds and a great location for exploring Whitby and Robin Hoods Bay which were both stunning. There was some maintenance issues with the cottage which wasn’t ideal including a metal hinge sticking out on the toilet seat which I had asked to be fixed due to it having the potential to cause injury to the children but unfortunately it wasn’t. The kitchen could have been cleaner, we had to rewash the crockery and dishes to use them and the dishwasher drawer did not have runners so was awkward to use. The communication with the host was good but unfortunately they still weren’t able to resolve our issues that were highlighted during our stay. Overall we had a great time as a family and would still recommend Atlanta Cottage for the size and location.

We loved our stay at Atlanta Cottage! Great spot for walks and it was so nice to have relaxed cosy time by the fire in the spacious lounge. The listing here describes quite a lot more beds in each room than there were so most of our guests were sharing beds when we had expected not to need to. But this wasn’t a big problem and overall we loved it! Would recommend bringing a couple of chopping boards if you intend to cook while you’re there. Very close to Aldi and Sainsbury’s for food shops!

Beautiful property, a few furnishings a bit old and showing signs of disrepair, but all in working order. There were 9 of us and we had plenty of room - lovely pub next door. Easy to walk to Whitby and Robin Hoods Bay along the cinder track.

Position to coast. Plenty of good walking in the area. No Parking. No downstairs toilet. Very creaky beds very low ceilings and light fittings. Rug in on suite bedroom dangerous needs removing and replacing as corner turned up. Stairs steep and loft stairs extremely steep even for young people.

Atlanta cottage is lovely we would stay here again it has a lovely feel. The kitchen could do with an update as the fridge was tiny and too small for a 9 person 4 night stay at Christmas there is enough room for a full fridge and I would suggest this is done and addition of blinds to the kitchen would make it more private as the window is roadside. A frosted window pane to ensuite would make going to the loo more private also as the gap there, means you can be seen by the neighbours across the road. All in all a beautiful character cottage which with a few tweaks could be perfect.

The house was everything we needed for the weekend. Big, comfortable bedrooms and living room. Garden for the dogs to enjoy and a wood burner for us to stay cosy. Kitchen wasn’t as well equipped as I usually find with Airbnb. No basics (salt/oil/tea) except a few coffee pods and could use a few more utensils etc if cooking for a large group. Overall good value for money.

Unlike so many other AirBNB stays, this felt very commercially orientated. Late check-ins (after 4) early checkouts (by 10am), no flexibility. Nothing whatsoever in the way of a welcome pack, one dishwasher tablet… everyone in the party commented on it being a bit stingy. The property management team were very responsive and we quite liked the location, and the pub two doors down, but I’m not sure we would choose this property again. It just felt a little bit unloved.

Had a lovely weekend away here with friends. Plenty on room for us all & our 4 dogs , you had the best time. Secure safe garden. Fabulous pub next door , highly recommend as food was delicious & reasonably priced. Fell in love with Robin Hoods bay with was a matter of minutes away from the house by car. Parking on the street , directly out front of the house never any issues finding a parking spot. No noise from road or pub. Comfy property, child & dog friendly. Location was perfect for us to explore Robin Hoods Bay , Whitby & Scarborough.

Perfect location between Whitby and Robin Hood’s Bay for a long weekend away. Property was generally good but a few things not so good - family bathroom shower door was hanging by one wheel, could have very easily fallen onto someone; smoke alarm batteries low so kept us awake one night beeping, seemed this was already known as was just lying on mantle rather than on its ceiling attachment. But, it was cheaper than most properties so guess you get what you pay for. Listing said there was no wifi but property did have wifi
