Eller Beck - The Cabin in the Woods

This cabin truly surpassed our expectations. A very special experience over new year 2024/2025. Extremely clean, warm and beautifully decorated. We enjoyed every minute of staying there and only wish we could have stayed longer. Hopefully be back again soon.

Lovely cabin in the woods very well located for Whitby and Runswick Bay. Beautiful forest walks and a lovely well-spaced out site.

Had a lovely stay but there's a lack of essentials such as tea towels and equipment in the kitchen but the area is lovely and it was a lovely and clean lodge

Lovely location, lovely property. Mostly had everything we needed. Not far from anywhere we had planned to visit. No oven gloves, only 2 half pint size glasses, could do with some tumblers. One bed found uncomfortable, mattress too springy and dipped a lot in middle, turned mattress which made it a bit better but still dipped, uncomfortable with a bad back. Salt and pepper mills need filling up. Needs at least a bigger mirror in hall not a shaving mirror, plus some hooks in bathroom to hang things up whilst showering. Only small issues, nothing major.

Very comfortable and clean. Lovely location, ideal for Yorkshire coast and Moors.

Fabulous location and lovely decor. Very comfortable throughout. Cutlery/mugs and baking trays weren’t as clean as we would have liked. The rest of the property was extremely clean though.

wonderful peaceful setting in woodland. only 15 minutes away from the coast. spacious lodge with everything we needed.

Beautiful cabin, great space for families to relax. The cabin had everything we needed and hosts were very quick to respond to our queries.

Happy with our stay. We had some issues with the heating in the cabin at first, probably due to quite cold temperature outside. We could only call Host & Stay if it was an emergency, so we had to ask for help by mail. It was ok, but took longer time that way. Would recomend the cabin for warm summer days :)

Great location and area, lots to see and do, the lodge was a good size for our family, comfortable and clean. Some basics provided which is helpful as shop was a car drive away. We visited Whitby, Robin Hoods Bay and Runswick Bay, all a short drive away, lots of parking but go early ish as it fills up quickly!

Great stay at Eller Beck - clean, spacious, warm, well-appointed & a good location to explore NYM & the coast. We're relatively local & will definitely be back! ( Note : accommodation run by a 3rd party, which can be slightly confusing )

Lovely modern accommodation. Good heating facilities. Great location with access to the North Yorkshire moors, Whitby, Sandsend and Saltburn-By-The-Sea. Very small constructive criticism; a few shelves in bedrooms two & three would have been great, also maybe some door hooks. We struggled with where to put stuff! Apart from that no negative feedback.

So many luxurious touches. Beautiful decor, fantastic facilities and in an amazing location next to woodlands. Ideal place to visit coastal bays and enjoy fabulous resterants. Didn't want to leave, could have stayed there forever.

The cabin is fantastic, with everything you need for an enjoyable, comfortable stay. There was nothing that we didn't like.

Gute Lage auf einem Campingplatz nicht weit entfernt von Whitby. Alles sehr neu und in einem sehr guten Zustand. Eine Waschmaschine wäre sehr gut.

Beautiful lodge with excellent location for visiting Whitby! We wanted a relaxing weekend away with our baby girl and that's what we got. we definitely will be back. Only downfall is it's not very baby/infant friendly, with not much room for a cot in the rooms. no highchair or cot provided either, this could be a great addition here. All in all an excellent stay that we loved !

We had a lovely short stay here, very peaceful surrounded by forest - we saw chickens and rabbits! Close to Whitby and surrounding areas. Easy checkin / clear instructions etc. Would recommend!

We had a lovely stay in this beautiful cabin. It is modern yet cosy. The beds are comfortable and there is everything you need for a short break. It is just a 10 minute drive to Whitby. There is also a pub/restaurant which had just reopened after refurbishment during our stay called ‘the stables’, it is a 5 minute drive away from the cabin with a delicious Sunday lunch and a lovely beer garden with beautiful views. The only thing that stopped me giving 5 stars is that there were crumbs left on the dining chairs and in the kitchen drawers but this wouldn’t stop us from returning. Thanks for a great stay!

Lovely lodge in peaceful surroundings, very spacious and comfortable for our family of 4. Conveniently located for Whitby park and ride and the NYMR at Grosmont. Would definitely stay again!

The cabin was very nicely decorated with comfortable beds and clean bed linen and fresh towels having to be out by 10am on a Sunday, the WIFI wasn't great and we had to figure out the code as it was written wrong on the Info we were given. A car charging point would have also been useful

A beautiful lodge at the edge of the woods. So peaceful and relaxing in a great location only 10 minutes from Whitby. Would highly recommend and felt at home as soon as we got there in the modern open living area. Will definitely be back

Really lovely location, great for exploring the area. The lodge is very well specified, living area is perfect for a family so the chef doesn't miss out. Highly recommended!

A nice property in a peaceful location

A stylish, comfortable and well equipped property. Warm & cosy during our November visit The site was beautiful and very handy for visits to Whitby and the Moors. Would recommend without hesitation, it accommodated two couples with ease and would also suit families.

Wonderful stay in the most beautiful lodge

Lovely lodge - very well equipped. It is in a great location for Whitby and the surrounding area and we had a lovely stay with good weather which was a bonus!

Throughly enjoyed our stay over the August bank holiday. The lodge is amazing, plenty of space, beautiful decor and stunning location. Would definitely book again. The site the lodge is situated on is very quiet, nice walks around the woods surrounding it and the village is a short drive away. We ate at the Witching Post and can definitely recommend lovely food and friendly hosts/staff. We used the park and ride, about 10 minutes from the site, to get into Whitby and was ideal especially over the busy bank holiday.

Absolutely fabulous. Wonderful luxury lodge situated in a great location for Whitby, Grosmont steam railway just for starters and a fab well run site at Lady Cross Plantation Egton.

Eller Beck was a fantastic place to stay - clean, comfortable, lovely decor and well appointed. The site was very peaceful and a perfect location to visit so many places. Two good pubs serving food in the village nearby. All communication was clear, prompt and friendly. We will definitely stay there again!

Excellent accommodation down not disappoint at all, the local pubs do brilliant food and all local attractions are within easy reach.

The Cabin is fantastic! Very clean, very well appointed with all you need. In April we were not cold once in cabin as the heating system is very efficient indeed. Beds were comfortable, we think the two single beds pushed together is a bit strange, why not just have a proper double bed? The site is quiet being set in the woods, however not busy when we stayed, so maybe different in summer months. With a car, easy and fast access to Whitby, pubs and super market. There is a path around the site we only discovered on the last evening, we were not informed about by reception, however it was a great path to walk for a little excersise. The parking area was great enough for 3 cars really! Very good communication throughout. We thought cleaning costs based on the days you stay is excessive, makes no difference, and if your clean and tidy people, changing one set of bedding and a general clean wouldn't take more that 2hours! Apart from that we had the most enjoyable time. Book pubs early as the are busy. Food and standards are high. Postgate inn for lunch. Horseshoe hotel great for evening meal

A truly amazing cabin in a great location. The deco and cleanliness was fantastic, it was so modern and well equipped. It felt like a really special place to stay and was so great being in the middle of the woods. The caravan park itself was very clean and quiet, lovely trails around the woods on the doorstep and a great place for our kids to run around Only 10 minutes to Whitby by car We’re already looking at dates to come back again, had a really lovely break away!

Beautiful cabin in wonderful surroundings. Ideal for a family that doesn’t want the business of being in the centre of Whitby. Excellent location to explore more of North Yorkshire
