Location was great and very handy for event at friends property in the village. The living room/dining room area was great, very spacious and light as there were two sets of patio doors. There were chickens in the field opposite the garden which were nice to watch. The kitchen was well equipped and actually had 2 fridges! The furnishings and décor felt fresh and was in keeping with the type of property. The hosts were quick to respond to any issues over our stay

One of the bedrooms was pretty small for a double and only had one small window letting in light and fresh air, we couldn't find anything to open the skylight. The pods supplied for the coffee machine were the wrong kind and as these were advertised on the guide I took some of our own which didn't fit. This has been reported and they have said that they will change the guide. Just a little thing but there was only a really tiny dice to use for the board games, would be better if there was a bigger one to use. Thought there might have been a tea towel to dry the dishes but they did say to use the dishwasher and put it on but as only a few dishes didn't see the point of using the dishwasher.

Lovely views to the rear and back. Well furnished with an eye for detail. Pub and railway station nearby. Superb mattresses and pillows. This accommodation is worthy of a 10.

… but we didn’t like the extensive correspondence with the agent, having to chase them up three times to get the key code and being reminded three times to check out. Please take this on board guys: You’re best in class for diligence, but Less is More.

Beautiful location, great house to stay. Convenient parking at house.

It is a bit out of the way for grocery shopping. A car is highly recommended.

Loved the location, scenery was beautiful. Everything you could possibly want for your stay other than a grater. Pub was good lovely food. Train station was very handy and lovely walks from the property

Contacted owner re dogs, as booking.com states no pets. There was a dog bowl under the sink and instructions manual stated no dogs on bed and pick up after in the garden. They assured me only that dogs were not present during our stay which as we don't have a dog was obvious. My asthma has been really bad all week and is only triggered by dogs. My grandsons allergy was bad at the weekend. It is a cause for concern. Otherwise was a lovely stay.

Nice, quiet rural location with a tidy garden backing onto a field of sheep and chickens.
Comfortable beds and hot, powerful shower.
Good access to Whitby and the surrounding area.
Lovely living room with plenty of books, games and space.
Well stocked (equipment) kitchen.

The property could have been cleaner. Dust and cobwebs in some of the harder to reach areas.
The kitchen, whilst functional, was dated and felt like it had been pieced together from several kitchens (mis matched doors, etc)

Beautiful setting , well laid out bungalow. Everything you needed in the place. It was clean and tidy on arrival. A good base to explore the moors ,the coast and the towns . Good transport connections and off road parking.

A tv in the bedroom only because I had a child and he doesn't watch the type of programmes my parents watch. Possibly a fan as it was really hot but these are very minor things.

The house was clean and fully equipped. Next to a farm so nice views.

One of bedrooms had too much light coming through with the roof window so if your not a early person or prefer room to be dark then use other bedroom
