The Space
Number Ten Carlill is a comfortable and homely base when exploring Whitby and North Yorkshire. A home from home, this cosy apartment has everything you could need to enjoy a self-catering stay. You’ll have full access to the apartment which includes an open-plan living, kitchen and dining room, two bedrooms, one of which with an ensuite, and a separate bathroom.

Upon entering the apartment, you’ll be welcomed into the living area directly in front of you. This bright and roomy space features two sofas, an armchair and a flat screen TV. The perfect spot to unwind after a busy day, you can lay on the sofas and get lost in a good book or turn on the TV to keep up with your favourite shows.

Modern and stylish, the kitchen features grey cabinets and white worktops. Amenities include an oven, hob, fridge freezer, toaster, microwave, kettle and separate coffee maker. Also sharing the living space is the dining area which features a glass dining table and four red chairs.

You’ll find two cosy bedrooms at Number Ten @ Carlill. Both bedrooms boast comfy beds and storage space for your belongings. The master bedroom is home to a super-king size bed and an ensuite shower room, whilst the second bedroom boasts a king size bed.

Modern in style, the bathroom has a spacious shower, wash basin and WC for your convenience.

Neighborhood
Located just a short walk from everything Whitby has to offer, Number Ten @ Carlill is perfectly situated in the seaside town.

Explore the lively promenade and beautiful Blue Flag West Cliff beach which are nearby. Head to the peaceful Pannett Park or take a trip into town to discover local pubs and cafes. Try the catch of the day in one of the many fish restaurants and feel nostalgic in the arcades on Pier Road.

On the opposite side of Whitby is the East bank which is full of narrow medieval streets dotted with boutiques, pubs and even more fish restaurants. Climb the famous 199 steps up to the Church of Saint Mary. You can also discover the renowned ruined Whitby Abbey, which was the inspiration for Bram Stoker’s gothic novel ‘Dracula’.

Step outside of Whitby and you’ll uncover a haven of woodland and moorland. Whitby forms part of the North York Moors National Park so it’s the perfect place for long walks.

Getting Around
Whitby train station is just a short 10-minute walk away so villages and towns along the North Yorkshire coast can easily be reached via rail. There’s also a taxi rank in close proximity to the train station.

There are plenty of bus routes throughout Whitby. Hop on the X4 and you can visit beautiful coastal villages like Sandsend, Runswick Bay and Staithes. The X93 travels along the coast to Scarborough. The 95 route features plenty of quaint villages, such as Grosmont and Lealholm.

Beautiful apartment with a sea view, plenty of parking.We absolutely loved our stay,we did not want to leave.This is our go to place to stay in Whitby?can't recommend this apartment enough. The stay was perfect, nothing bad to report.

Superb location on the second floor with a fabulous sea view. The apartment is furnished to a high standard and is just around the corner from the harbour, restaurants and shops. Personally I didn’t find the sofas overly comfortable which might have been more of a problem had we been there for a week. I also did not like that no cleaning products were made available for our stay; the en suite toilet and kitchen sink in particular were in need of a good dollop of bleach.

Spotlessly clean and equipped. Very central for our needs and the sea view was amazing. Would definitely stay again. Instructions on how the microwave worked would have been helpful, also a sign on the outside door to the bins as we spoke to a couple of people who said they had put rubbish in the litter bin across the road. Found the bins eventually but weren't sure if we would trigger an alarm by opening the door.

Flat is immaculate. It is in a central location with beautiful views over the sea. Would definitely stay here again. Only very small issue for us was the cleaning team had omitted to empty the kitchen bin... I doubt this would normally be the case. I think it was just a one off because everything else was perfect

Lovely location, beautiful apartment and very comfortable! Really amazing furnishings. Bathrooms were amazing!! We were only left a parking pass for 2 days on our 5 day stay. Used the amazing app to contact the company to ask if we could please have the pass for the whole of our stay. I was told this would be sorted and left for us so I assumed it would be. However, we the 2 days passed and nothing turned up. We checked the letterbox repeatedly over the days but nothing. I contacted the company again via text, calling, voicemail but couldn't make contact. We had to stay in the apartment watching for parking attendants and frantically calling the company until finally someone answered. I asked for the pass to please be dropped off as a matter of urgency and they told me they would try to log this with housekeeping. I told them I logged this with (named staff) on the first day of trip. She told me she was the (named staff) and that she would have to raise it. Anyway, I had to chase this up with other staff members and move our car to a carpark and pay for parking. After a LOAD of hassle and wasting a lot of time, we recieved the parking passes, a day late. This really spoiled the trip for me, as there this was an error on the company's part that should have been given better customer care, and unfortunately wasn't. Unfortunately I would not use this company again.

This is the third time I have stayed at this place with very little issues except for not leaving enough car parking tickets or not at all, it was the same this time where we got 4 days worth when we were staying 6 nights, however they were quick to respond. I did contact them regarding the dirty living room floor and they did offer to send the housekeeper round , but who wants to have to wait around for them to come. On the last evening we discovered the hob was not working as we had decided to cook a nice meal with fillet steak. It was too late to contact anyone as it was after 7 pm so we ended up putting the steak under the grill- not what we wanted to do as we wanted to make a nice sauce. On the whole it was enjoyable but frustrating when you have to complain. I was told my complaint will take about 10 days to resolve. This will make the difference as to whether we come back next year.

Lovely view Clean Fabulous beds Had most things you’d need Didn’t have an ice cube container- you do now as I bought one and left it lol Only had one tea towel in kitchen Would have liked a few odds and ends eg a ‘welcome basket ‘( which could be offered as an addition and paid for) as after a long flight and car journey shopping for food stuff had to wait until next day [bread, butter, cereals some fruit maybe)

Very modern outstanding attention to detail stunning sea view fantastic location. Owners hopefully will learn from our bad experience. Fire alarms on a loop in the buildings sounding off for 1 hour 30 minutes. Owners are the key holders to deactivate the alarm system away in Nottingham. Fire brigade attended finally maintenance guy arrived and silenced the alarms it was deafening.

A stylish property with all the necessities. Very comfortable and the app provided everything to put the stay at ease. It was in a fantastic location with a picturesque sea view. The only thing I could fault and this is to be really picky (not reflected on stars), the kitchen cupboard doors could have been wiped. The sunlight reflected on them and it looked like to previous occupants may have had fish and chips (grease marks). Also, there was a slight smell from the drains but it wasn’t overpowering.

Location fantastic with beautiful sea view from the living room. Apartment looked newly fitted out and was very clean and comfortable. Had all of the required appliances etc and convenient parking outside the front of the building. Two double bedrooms and with two bathrooms meant plenty of space. Excellent showers and comfortable beds. Only minor issue was that the drains were a bit smelly in the bathrooms

Lovely accommodation great location.Felt at home very quickly.The view was amazing.Everything you needed to know was at hand. Problems with host and stay said I wasn’t verified and I was .Then said it was sorted out to then get another message saying it wasn’t.A very stressful start to a much needed break.Thankfully the stay was lovely I would definitely stay here again it was perfect.The only one tiny thing was lack of a bread knife as we loved to indulge in Bothams tea cakes.

Great location and good facilities. Very spacious. Very strong unpleasant smell in en-suite shower. Maintenance staff put drain cleaner in the shower and sink but this did not fix the issue. We had to keep the en-suite door shut and keep running the extractor fan to stop the bedroom smelling. This is a serious problem with the property.

Excellent property with modern and quality bathrooms and excellent kitchen and appliances, these apartments are very good value for money and will have no hesitation stopping there again. Also the lift is an added bonus. The location is very good a 10 minute walk to the centre of Whitby. There isn't anything to dislike.

Lovely views . Modern spacious high spec apartment . Glasses were still dirty with lipstick and greasy finger prints on. Also coffee machine underneath pool of dirty water on work top.

The apartment was fabulous! Very modern and high spec fittings and furnishings, would definitely stay here again. Good location and the sea view from the living area was fantastic. The parking scratch cards are great and we managed to park right outside the apartment. I was initially put off a little by the damage waiver/deposit but now that I’ve stayed at the apartment, if it helps to keep it as lovely as it is then I’m happy to pay. I did receive quite a few emails but to be fair they were providing all the necessary information and the guide they provide is very comprehensive. The only downside was no air conditioning so it may be very hot in summer, but there’s blinds to keep the sun out and the windows open.

This is the second time I have stayed and as ever the place is beautiful and clean. with lovely views out to sea. The only criticism I have and this also applied the first time I stayed. They did not leave enough parking tickets the first time and the second time I stayed they left no parking tickets at all. I rang to ask and was told someone would ring me back but they did not. I phoned three times but did not get the parking tickets in time so I had to pay for parking.

The bathrooms were spotless and felt hotel like. The beds were extremely comfy. The TVs were smart TVs unlike a lot of other apartments. Facilities in the kitchen were great, even better with little coffee/sugar sachets for those just staying the night who may have forgotton to pack! Communication between the host and myself was brilliant and easy to understand lock instructions etc. Comfier sofas would have topped it off but that’s just being picky, they were fine for a night. Fans for the bedrooms would have been handy as it was so hot in there through the night.

Once we got into the room we were greeted by an incredible view out onto the coast, even with poor weather the view was incredible. The accommodation itself was well presented with clean towels, complimentary soaps and tidy rooms, and a few items to make tea & coffee with present as well (Though not allot of sugar or milk if you are so inclined, pack a little extra). We did notice quite a pungent smell towards the master bedroom / en-suite which smelt allot like nappies... This did get better after we opened the windows to air the place out a bit, but not the best smell to have where you are going to be sleeping. The neighbouring apartment also had quite loud occupants which did sour the quite peaceful and serene a little in the evenings, however with all that said and done, we would most happily visit again as the location of the property, along with the overall cleanliness and good amenities was more than enough for our weekend getaway!

We stayed at Number Ten @ Carlill for five days in early July. The flat is well situated, overlooking the Regents Crescent Gardens, and panoramic views of the sea beyond. Great for watching the sea and the sky at different times of the day, and we enjoyed a few lovely sunsets. The beach is just across the road, Skinner St street with its cafes and shops just round the corner, and it’s less than 10 minutes walk to the harbour and the old town. The flat is comfortably furnished and everything feels fresh and clean. The kitchen is well equipped with everything we needed, including a dishwasher and washer/dryer. Having a lift is really handy for bringing bags up to the 2nd floor. We had few minor issues like the fridge was icing up and freezing food, and the shower leaked onto the bathroom floor. We reported these to Host and Stay so they should now be resolved and need not bother other guests going forward.

The property was immaculate and had everything we needed to explore Whitby. The property was fully set up for days in if required with all modern conveniences . It was in an excellent location. I have thoroughly recommended this property to some of my close friends. A gem. Parking can be an issue outside the property. But it is Whitby and on the royal crescent!.

Beautifully decorated with simple tones and splash of colour from art on walls. Fantastic sea view and people watching along West Cliff. Fully equipped kitchen and living space. Couldn't open sash windows at front so very stuffy in the heat! Don't know if weak arms but no instructions so didn't want to force it and custom services had no info.

What can I say? The five stars I gave said it all. the flat was stunning (wish I lived there). There was everything we needed to settle in i.e. tea, coffee, sugar, and milk. Lovely toiletries. The only hiccup we had was there was only a 2-day scratch card left for us although we had booked 5 nights. I telephoned them and they answered within minutes and rectified it by bringing another scratch card. The staff were lovely and friendly. The views watching the sunset were amazing with uninterrupted views. Definitely return.

The apartment was lovely, great facilities, high quality fittings, great location. BUT Host and Stay are terrible. They force you to buy an additional damage waiver which is really poor value. Customer service and cleaning service terrible. Failed to provide enough towels and toiletries, and no parking vouchers. Customer service was then useless.
