Lovely flat with beautiful views over Whitby. Very clean with good modern facilities. N/A
My sister-in-law and I recently came back from a 3 night stay at Seal View, in Whitby which we booked with Host & Stay via booking.com. The booking procedure was simple and Host & Stay kept in touch with us via regular emails and also included a very useful link to a digital guide which gave us all the information we would need during our stay. Seal View is a stunning light and spacious modern apartment situated on the third floor of a four storey block with gorgeous views overlooking the River Esk and marina which is about a 10 minute walk along the river from the main centre of Whitby with its shops, pubs, restaurants and historic places of interest. This 2 bedoom apartment was spotlessly clean and has its own dedicated parking space in the gated underbuilding garage, an absolute bonus! The apartment definitely has a touch of luxury about it and was equipped with everything you would need to make it home from home. One of the highlights was watching the historic steam engine trains pass by on the other side of the river which we were fortunate to see while there. We would definitely recommend this apartment and will look at other Host & Stay locations for any future road trips. We only have one negative comment to make this being the lift appeared to be out of order (stuck on the first floor) on the day that we arrived (Saturday) so trying to carry all our luggage up to the third floor (6 flights) was not ideal. We did report this and were informed later that day that the lift maintenance company had been informed and that an engineer would attend as soon as possible. We checked out three days later (Tuesday) and the lift was still out of order so having to walk up and down the stairs all the time that we were there was not only hard for us, but would have been an enormous problem for a person with mobility difficulties. In saying the above, this was just an unfortunate event which coincided with our stay and should not deter anyone from staying in this wonderful apartment.
