Located in the centre of Whitby, The Loft is a stylish one bedroom apartment perfect for romantic getaways. Featuring sloped ceilings, exposed beams and skylight windows, the property has plenty of charm. You’ll have full access to the apartment during your stay which includes a fully equipped kitchen, a dining area, a cosy living space, a bedroom and a modern bathroom. Perfectly situated, The Loft is just a short stroll from the beach, promenade and all of the shops, restaurants and cafes on offer.

The Space

The Loft boasts a welcoming and homely open plan kitchen, living and dining space. Ultra cosy, the living area includes a tan leather sofa and a flat screen TV so it’s the ideal place to relax after a busy day of exploring the coast. At the other end of the space is the kitchen diner. The kitchen features black, high shine cabinets and white brick style tiles to create a sleek look. Fully equipped with modern appliances and cookware, you’ll have everything you could need to make the most of your self-catering stay. The dining area includes a round table and two chairs. Head to the bedroom and you’ll find a comfortable double bed, a set of drawers with a rail, a mirror and bedside tables. There is a skylight window above the bed in the sloped ceiling so you can gaze up at the stars as you wind down for sleep. Modern and clean, the bathroom has a deep bathtub with a handheld shower, WC and basin.

Neighbourhood

Located on the West side of Whitby, The Loft is just a short stroll from the Blue Flag West Cliff beach and promenade. On Pier Road, you’ll find fun arcades and plenty of fish restaurants where you can sample the catch of the day. The other side of Whitby is full of narrow, medieval streets dotted with boutiques and pubs. Climb the famous 199 steps up to the Church of Saint Mary. You can also discover the renowned ruined Whitby Abbey, which was the inspiration for Bram Stoker’s gothic novel ‘Dracula’. Step outside of Whitby and you’ll uncover a haven of woodland and moorland. Whitby forms part of the North York Moors National Park so it’s the perfect place for long walks.

Getting Around

The Loft is located in the centre of Whitby so the town can easily be explored on foot. Whitby train station is just a short 15-minute walk away so villages and towns along the North Yorkshire coast can easily be reached via rail. There’s also a taxi rank in close proximity to the train station. There are plenty of bus routes throughout Whitby. Hop on the X4 and you can visit beautiful coastal villages like Sandsend, Runswick Bay and Staithes. The X93 travels along the coast to Scarborough. The 95 route features plenty of quaint villages, such as Grosmont and Lealholm.

Host & Stay are committed to our owners that their homes are protected during bookings. For this reason, we require all of our guests to transfer a £250.00 Damage Deposit (subject to a £10.00 administration charge) or, to purchase an Accidental Damage Waiver for £25.00 which will cover you for up to £500.00 of accidental damage during your stay.

Guests have access to the full apartment. The keys to the property are accessed via a secure key safe and full details will be provided shortly before your arrival date. Please note the apartment is located on the top floor and the building doesn’t have a lift so it may not be suitable for those less physically able. There are a number of pay and display car parks throughout Whitby and full details will be sent to you prior to your arrival.

I was 2 old 2 go up the stairs but very nice flat spotless if you have any more properties on a bottom it wasmy fault for not 🕗 gettlnxa bottom flat I am 75 and could not do the stairs . As I am 75 and on my own it was 2.many stairs if you have a lower place I.would go.back thanks so.much yvonne
