Canterbury is a place where the past and the present seamlessly blend, creating a unique and captivating atmosphere. With a rich history dating back over 2,000 years, Canterbury is perhaps best known for its iconic Canterbury Cathedral, a UNESCO World Heritage Site and one of the most important religious landmarks in the world. This stunning Gothic masterpiece, founded in 597 AD, played a significant role in the development of Christianity in England.

The city's historical significance doesn't stop at the cathedral. Canterbury also boasts well-preserved medieval architecture, including the city walls, Westgate Towers, and St. Augustine's Abbey. Walking through its charming streets is like stepping back in time, with timber-framed buildings, cobbled streets, and cozy tearooms, all providing a taste of the city's rich heritage.

Canterbury is not just a living museum; it's a vibrant, modern city with a thriving cultural scene. The bustling high street and St. Dunstan's Street are lined with shops, cafes, and restaurants, offering a diverse range of shopping and dining experiences.

Set against the backdrop of the Kent countryside, Canterbury is an ideal base for exploring the Garden of England. Nearby attractions include the White Cliffs of Dover, the coastal town of Whitstable, and the picturesque village of Chilham.

Canterbury's blend of history, culture, and natural beauty makes it a captivating destination for tourists and a wonderful place to live for its residents, ensuring that this city will continue to hold a special place in the hearts of all who visit.

The company is very responsive with questions/ requests. The place itself has a lot of character, great vintage like furnitures in all rooms.
It’s also very walkable to the university - around 15-20 mins.
The only down side about this house is that it’s a bit worn down - esp the bathrooms (like most old houses though!). However not a big issue if you space out the shower times/ don’t mind the bathroom door does not fully close.

The accommodation was booked for 3 people to stay for a fortnight whilst in the area. The request was made one week prior to the stay but totally ignored by Host and Stay. They waited until the first day to send a generic email stating ‘hope you’ve arrived safe and enjoyed your stay so far’ this BS email was then received on several occasions every time it was raised that we wasn’t there.
The contact numbers given rang out, the email address was generic non response replies. Then at the end of what would’ve been our first week we get a response saying get in touch with AirBnB whom had previously stated get in touch with the host.
Between these two tossers of companies one thing was clear they were keeping my £1100 not offering solutions and not responding.
The whole episode has been fraud.
And now I’m asked to write a review on our stay. Well here’s my review - do not use Host and Stay ever!!! They are con artist who offer no solution just generic responses that take you nowhere.

Really enjoyed the stay at Host & Stay AirBNB and ideal room for the size family we had. Nice bedrooms, downstairs decor is different and inviting.
Only constructive Cristism is that the carpets need to be cleaned and the bathroom doors need fixing so they can be shut and locked for privacy.
Thank you for the stay! :)

Talon mukavuuksista puuttuu astianpesukone. Suihkut olivat melko alkeelliset, vaikkakin toimivat.

Decor is good, house is clean and well-maintained. Spacious.

Shower unit upstairs is very loud and the door cannot shut properly, which made us use the downstairs shower.
