Arrived to luxury lodge, very clean with welcome pack of cake, chocs wine. Full size kitchen with dishwasher. Comfry beds. Washing up and clothes towelre .I would give everything a 5* but we had a smell in the bathroom that was there on entering and got worse, we think the foul maybe leaking under the lodge, have reported it as it needs an engineer. We stayed fri to mon and by monday it was pretty bad, we couldnt use it, you could smell it outside round by the bathroom and back of the lodge but the ensuite was ok. If we had been staying longer we would have had to move. No main bedroom mirror reading lamps. The lodge is at the top of the hill from the bay, you need good mobility if walking up and down. Bus service at the end of the drive every hour £2. We walked to whitby on the cleveland way and got the bus back. Local hotel has good selection of drinks and food. Bit hit n miss with the food but friendly and pub dog ted a cute character. Excellent fish n chips at staithes.

2 x Families of 4 for a 4 night stay at this home in Runswick Bay.
The home was as described, plenty room inside and the triple bunk was a big highlight for the little ones. Beds were comfy, towels were soft, all kichen amenities were as described. Decking area was great once kids bedded for the grown ups.
Location was brilliant, the beach there is amazing and the village beautiful. Cafe and pub are great. Word of warning on the hill to the beach.....took a bit of effort walkimg back up!!
Minor gripes were lots of spider webs on outdoor furniture ( we cleaned ourselves but some may freak out ) and occasional smell from the drains - neither of which would stop us returning
We did get a complaint from someome about the kids playing outside at 730 in the evening, can only assume complainer having a bad day?!?
Deposit waiver paid back in timeline promised.
Totally reccomend though, great place in great location

Just back from 4 nights at the pines, Runswick bay. The property was exactly as shown in the photos with the addition of a lovely welcome basket. It was thoroughly cleaned before we arrived and the towels were still warm from the tumble dryer. The holiday park was immaculate and a short walk from the beach, although we did tend to take the car down to the bottom car park for ease of unloading the paddle board
Spent a few days exploring the surrounding areas, saltburn, sandsend, Whitby and robin hoods bay with the weather making everywhere even more picturesque.
I would advise taking some groceries to get you started, milk, bread, cereal etc as the closest shop is in Staithes
Already discussing our return

Had a pleasant stay in this roomy chalet/mobile home. Very clean and comfortable with easy access to Runswick Bay beach which is very beautiful.
Be warned that the letting company also insists on an additional fee for insurance. Rather annoying as it will cost a minimum of £10 or more likely for most £25, when the accommodation is already costly enough

On arrival property is very to access. The lodge is beautiful and spotlessly clean. A lot of thought has gone into the lodge and there was everything we needed. There was a really lovely welcome pack and again a lot of thought had gone into it. Everything in the lodge is of high quality, I couldn’t fault a thing. We had a great stay and will certainly return.
