We liked that it was a short walk to the sea front and the beds were very comfy and there is a Tesco extra over the road to the left.

We did not like that it is on a main crossing with alot of traffic, just outside the front door and to the right of the property is a zebra/ pedestrian crossing so while we were in the property all we could here very loudly was the beeping of the crossing and engine noises of the cars sitting at the light and reving as they set off. On a Saturday night there is alot of shouting and music from a pub that is left over the crossing. Of the two very small windows in the loft bedroom only one opens to let air in.The house had alot of cobwebs in corners and the stairs in the house were very dusty to the sides as if they had not been swept or cleaned. The oven was dirty so we did not use the cooker we ordered in every evening for dinner. The main thing we did not like and it does not mention this in its write up on the property is there is no back door use to the out side to the point the back door is locked with no key unless there is a emergency then brack glass on a little box near the back door. You cannot open the back kitchen window as it is screwed shut so the only way to let air flow down stairs on a hot day is to open front door or front window but as I have mentioned befor it is on a main crossing and is very noisy.

Kitchen modern and very well equipped, Bathroon very good apart from very loose tap on washbasin

'Parking permits' provided didn't cover the area that the property was in so I had to pay sometimes between 9am and 6pm.
Some torn wallpaper made parts look shabby, which was not the overall feel.

Good location. Tesco Express just across the road. Beaches and town within walking distance. Clean throughout the property and beds are comfortable

It's a bit run down. Needs painting throughout. Sink tap in bathroom nearly coming off. Kitchen windows screwed shut and back door locked. Only emergency exit.

Nothing

The property smelt of damp, couldn’t open any windows and it was absolutely bowling, couldn’t open the back door to get any air in and the house wasn’t very hygienic. I paid £525 for 3 nights and it wasn’t up to standards at all.

The kids bedroom and the book nook or 'castle' also loved the bath. It was such a lovely cosy home with lots of lovely extra touches.

Couldn't find a frying pan or pizza cutter but managed. Other than that a very well stocked kitchen.

Great stay, lovely little house a short walk from the promenade. We had a great stay! Be aware that all the parking outside the house on the street is pay & display and we unfortunately did get a ticket when we forgot to top up the time. There’s a Tesco express right next door so easy to grab anything you might need.

The apartment

I came to bring my niece and daughter after cremating my mother days before to have a break and get away. From arrival no parking permit in the apartment so couldn't relax. After speaking to customer service was told would bring one round tomorrow and if was issued a fine that night take pictures and any fines would be covered night 1 and the permit would be brought next day. That never arrived the fine wasn't resolved even after repeating the call you already had agreed to and it wasn't the way I wanted to remember my mother with my niece and daughter. The apartment was great the service was lies and also took money from my bank after just reservation overcharged me and then ignored me and my partner when trying to resolve the fine. I paid over £300 to have 2nights 1day got fines and lied to. Feel a little cheated

This is a beautiful house.everything we needed for our stay in scarborough. It has a real log burner which was amazing!it has a tesco across the street and a domino's pizza which was very handy.Tastefully decorated however could be doing with a freshen up in some rooms.Would happily come back here again, very homely.

The parking is definitely an issue. managed to get a space outside the house (eventually). Also first impressions of the outside of the house is not very good. But don't be put off by this as it's really lovely inside.

Not enough space to hang clothes, there was a chest of drawers but we couldn’t use them as it was used for bedding

Gary

Close to shops which is good.

Parking was rubbish as no ware to park and had to park in town which cost a fortune

On initial inspection, the house was cute, like the decor. The kitchen and bathroom were a modern installation. The bath was lovely and big. The house was full of cute little details, like a reading nook in the top bedroom, hidden ornamental sardine tins and seagull ornaments. The beds were comfy and the linen was clean and comfortable.

When we arrived there was no parking cards left. I rang 3 times that day and was told someone would drop them off that day. They didnt, in the end someone posted them through the door the second day. The wifi password in the book didn't work, we used the password on the router instead. The toilet seat was broken and the toilet seat wasn't clean underneath. There was a part on the toaster that popped off everytime it was used. There was dead beetles on the stairs among bits of dust. The house in general wasn't really clean and there were a lot of cobwebs. In the bathroom there were candle holders and a toothbrush holder that were filled with dust. When we arrived there were lots of tools in the bathroom on top of the toilet cistern. The keys safe outside was really difficult to use for my wife as she has back problems and it is down really low. I found the keys safe really hard to use. It wasnt made clear how far away from the house we would have to park if we used the parking passes. The pub across the road got quite busy and loud at 11pm ish every night. One night someone drunk threw a parking cone at the front door on their way past. I tried to use the hoover to get some sand up we had brought back with us, the hoover was clogged with hair and dust that I had to remove from the end before I could use it. The walls down stairs in the kitchen and lounge are damp and the wallpaper is coming away from the wall.

Le logement était bien décoré et aménagé. Nous avons globalement passé un bon séjour.
Nous avons cependant regretté que le chauffage soit éteint à notre arrivée, ainsi que le simple vitrage du côté du boulevard très fréquenté et bruyant.

Excellent Accomodation. All minute things have been well taken care of by the host. House is beautifully furnished. Kids loved the loft conversation with the small kids corner. Only small negative was that the noise insulation isn’t the best. So bit of street noise can come in to the living room.

Overall loved our stay and would definitely book here next time we visit Scarborough

Loved the kids bedroom with the hide out. Kitchen was really nice. Living room was comfy. The house was clean, the curtains could of done with a freshen up though.

Main bedroom felt a little cluttered, maybe move the bed? Wall paper on the stairs needed to be stuck down. Doors and windows wasn't great and there was often a strong smell of drugs being smoked from one of the surrounding homes.

If you are looking for a peaceful stay in Scarborough then avoid this place. We stayed for two nights; Friday and Saturday. On both nights we were awoken to fighting at the pubs opposite the property with police and ambulance in attendance. We could
hear someone threatening to kill and stab someone and fighting just across the road. We felt very unsafe. Unfortunately not a safe part of town due to the local unsavoury pubs.

Amy

25/08/2022

Great stay and lovely place. We loved our loft bedroom and the kids loved the “castle” reading hideaway. Parking isn’t great but what can you expect from a seaside town - permits are provided and we got fairly close to the house. About a 15 min walk to the beach. Shop is 20 steps from the house, really convenient. Communication was great, got in touch twice and received an instant response and sorted straight away. Overall fantastic stay, would highly recommend and we’ll absolutely stay again when we venture to the north east x

Samantha

Leanne

16/08/2022

tasteful decor & close to local shops and the town of Scarborough

Exterior door was more like an interior door, close to pelican crossing..that’s all you can hear constantly. No out door space so felt not enough ventilation..when bathroom window was open there was a continuous unpleasant smell coming through. No outside recycle bin which meant the small indoor became full almost immediately with six of us and it had to them be stored in the kitchen the whole entire stay.
poor flush in the bathroom toilet which meant repetitive flushing and was left and unpleasant present in there on arrival. Parking is a big problem in the area and I found it a constant stress throughout the holiday worrying about where to park even though a permit was delivered on the second day you still need have to search for appropriate places to park.
I feel the property was over priced and unfortunately not somewhere that I’d recommend or stay again.

Sheila

04/08/2022

The beds were comfortable.

The smell, as soon as we opened the house door the smell nearly knocked us down. This smell stay throughout our stay, even though all the windows were opened by us, while in the property. I think it could have been a damp smell, but better ventilation would be needed. No batteries in one of the tv remotes. Again the smell.

-proximity to town
-bathroom is lovely
-kitchen was well equipped
-nice rustic/maritime decor
-decent state of repair

-lots of dust from the maintenance work taking place before our arrival
-parking vouchers were damaged/not usable
-area is a dodgy (there was a police incident at the pub across the road, public drug taking and arguments in the street all outside the door)
-it would be nice to have something like beanbags so the number of comfy seats reflects the number of beds
-it would be handy to be able to open more windows; especially on the top floor where it got quite warm

This a perfect place for a lovely trip to Scarborough. The house is well kitted out, with everything you could need for a comfortable stay. There are lots of thoughtful touches that make it very kid friendly (although we didn't have children with is ourselves). There is a large dining table and the kitchen is well equipped. Bathroom is lovely and shower worked perfectly.
Communication was fantastic.
The house is very close to the town centre, but there is also a Tesco express nearby, a great taco place and plenty of other eateries.

This place is an absolute gem! We (family of 4) really enjoyed our 2 night stay. A lot of care and thought has been put into furnishing and decorating the house to a very high standard. The kitchen was very well equipped. The whole house was spotlessly clean and had lots of nice little touches. The beds were all very comfortable and the children absolutely loved the attic 'snug'. Fabulous stay, definite 5/5.
