We liked the amount of rooms and the games room in particular as a family of 12 , location is perfect for what we required

The basement room was very damp and we did leave a day early, the toilet stopped working & bins were not emptied (reported via app)

Some parts of this house are really lovely!
The main living spaces are great! We had a lot of great times in the front room and the central living space.
Bedrooms are good sizes, as are the bathrooms which are also nicely done out.

Each room has a slight smell of its own, but perhaps that's normal for an old house with pet-friendly rules? We had to bring our Pug, so I guess it comes with the deal. She did her business on the kitchen doormat so to be fair, I'd be wrong to mention little smells too much.
The basement is bound to smell a little musty because most of them do, so fine about that.

Pool cues had no tips and the pool table pockets are all torn. I tipped the cues, no charge ;-) Amazon Prime was fast and cheap, and I blocked the holes in the pockets with anything that did the job so we could play pool.

There are lots of weeds near the front door and dead or dying plants. It's a bad first impression and so easy to remedy.

The big center burner on the hob doesn't burn well. It's probably a partly blocked pipe, it happens. I still managed to cook a paella using the other burners, so not a big deal.

The toilet flush is a bit hit and miss on the first floor.

Basement unfit for sleeping. Very damp . Three beds could not be used.
Staircases are hazardous - handrail ground to firstfloor is on wrong side and stops short of two risers. Carpet on stairs was loose and poorly fitted - But with no handrail and with the carpet moving freely on narrow treads and high risers an accident occurred causing bruising and grazing to elbow, knee, and hip, and jarring to spine.
Trip hazards prevail - kitchen to dining and 1st floor bathroom to landing
Lights in dining room consistently ’tripped out’ when switched on. N o lighting over table
WIFI did not reach the top floor
1st floor bathroom door had substantial splinter on latch edge
There was no iron
Too many nails left in walls where pictures and the like had been removed
Yard areas very untidy, dirty, and most unwelcoming (front and back)
No parking permits provided until Day 3
This property represents a typical ‘let’ that is up for sale and where the owner just wants rid

We had a great stay here, very clean and well furnished. The best thing for us was the location as you can walk to the beach and the lical amenities easily.

Lovely location within walking distance of north bay and attractions. The house could be lovely and looks good in photos but is in need of improvement and repairs. Mattresses well past useable condition and disrupted our sleep and enjoyment of the stay. Oven thermostat did not work - we had pre prepared food and struggled to even reheat it with the equipment available. Kitchen and fridge/freezer space very limited. Shower and hot tap in top bathroom did not work at all on our first morning - company sent someone out to fix this, it seems to be an intermittent water pressure issue. Cleanliness was not at an acceptable level with suspicious stains evident on one of the bedspreads, the oven was also very dirty. Range of other repairs needed including to games room equipment.

This should be a great house, but the kitchen was not properly cleaned and there are several things that require some maintenance. The games room is missing equipment making it virtually unusable.
Such a shame as its a great location and the rooms were comfortable.

Great location for Scarborough’s North and South Bay, both walkable distance with Peasholme park only a few minutes away.
House provided lots of room for 8 of us (3 adults, 5 children) with great bedroom space, games room (with pool table) 3 bathrooms and a lounge.
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at North Villa and the space that the house afforded us worked really well for our group. Timely instructions for access too!
Thanks v much ?

Firstly the kitchen is small,2 people make it crowded. Similarly the dining table and lounge only seat a max of 7(in a house that sleeps 11!).
The games room is poor, very steep steps to it some step trip hazards also, very low ceiling (6’), poor quality and broken pool table and small room so can’t use full size cues. The table tennis comprises a board on top of the pool table and the net was broken.
Very uncomfortable beds and the cheapest linen and towels.
The showers ran out of hot water the first morning although the basins still had hot water. (I sent a message to the host regarding the showers and didn’t receive a phone call for over 24 hours-too late)
The bathrooms are ok but insufficient for 11 people. The showers are cheap the handles are stiff and difficult to get the right temperature and should have a 38* cut off. Simply stating in the folder that the first floor shower can be too hot and one should be careful isn’t good enough from a safety point.

Location was great

Walked in food and paper on floor look outside there chips fish and rubbish all over the floor with flies all around it, then upstair one bed room the bedding was dirty, walk into bath and toliet roll holder broken and all bits left on side, main big bedroom dirty curtian and dirt on a picture, walk upstair to next floor and they try to screw nails in to the carpet because it all coming away but there was a screw on the floor which had come out which one my children stood on, the whole house really could of done with whole clean over again but when you have your personal stuff in and trying make holiday with children you don’t really want be messing around with it, and be warm the shower are terrible not suitable for as many people as which house can hold half you end up with freezering cold shower and host and stay ask you look at boiler and top it up if it needs it doing hmmmm I’m on holiday not messing around with something you paid for! I wouldn’t come back here again a lot money and the house really could do with updated it’s try tired and not up to standard with the money your asking for it
After speaking to host and stay and proves they don’t care after taking your money will never book with them again

My friends and I unanimously had an amazing, already contemplating to book again! Beautiful house and felt right at home as soon as we walked through the door. Every activity such as the beach, a very affordable water park with an amazing spa (18+ of course but has seating to keep watch over children in the park area) are all within a 10-15 minute walk. Also a park full of activities on the same street. Honestly couldn’t ask for more with how affordable the whole weekend was. Would definitely recommend!

We stayed here as 2 families (4 adults, 4 children total) and the space was great! It's a really big house. The kids spent all their time in the basement and loved it and so did the adults!

Convenient location with amble on street parking and the advantage of a driveway. Large property with more than enough room for everyone, the playroom went down a treat with the children enabling us all feel like we had lots of space. Great for peasholm park and the north bay with not much of a walk to town for all the restaurants and then just a short drop down to the south bay.

We stayed here with extended family and was a great sized house in a good location. The first night the electrics kept blowing as we were trying to cook pizzas. An electrician came out next day and said the oven had blown the element. The washing machine was out of order. There were 6 TV s in the house but none of them had 'normal TV channels' only streaming....no good for Nana watching Corro !! This house needs all the electrics sorting out....wouldn't stay there again

Cons: On arrival door was left open, had to do a security check before allowing kids to enter. Piles of mail at main door. Wipeable Coffee and wine stains on tables in sittingroom. Single bed mattress in basement unfit for purpose, bedroom blinds broken. Only one parking space and one spare disk, only allows 2 cars although house sleeps up to 14.

Pros: Good location, well equipped kitchen, games room. Good size property.
