A good location, a great apartment and looked just like the pictures!

Very modern and clean In the morning from about 6 noise from people moving around upstairs and and up and down stairs and the noise from the saniflow noisey

The apartment is in a great location, only a short walk from the centre of Whitby and with great views to the sea. It is bright and modern inside. The kitchen had everything we needed and the bathroom had a lovely shower. The parking was a complete lottery. The first night we managed to park just round the corner, the next night we drove around for half an hour searching for a space. (To be fair, several bays were suspended on the seafront due to an event and this obviously had a knock on effect.) We struggled to find the front door of the property, despite photos and guidance from the managers, Google Maps does not help, a What3Words reference would have been really helpful. The hallway is a bit shabby and dark, we were concerned about what we had rented, especially as we climbed two flights of stairs, but once inside the apartment it was lovely.

Our stay in Little Acorn apartment was very pleasant, despite the rather hideous Yorkshire weather (howling gales and driving rain). The apartment was tastefully decorated and furnished, the heating efficient, a lovely hot shower/bath and one of the most comfortable beds that I have ever slept in, in an Airbnb property!!

Beautiful stylish apartment, great location in Whitby. Easy to find, value for money. Friendly and helpful Host. One thing to note which is not made clear prior to booking is the damages policy. You have 2 mandatory options or you will lose the apartment booking. First option is an additional fee of £30 that you don’t get back even if you don’t break anything or you have to put down a £300 deposit for damages you should get back if you don’t break anything etc.

We had a lovely stay at this apartment. It was a little tricky to locate at first but it was in an absolutely perfect location. We had a great stay here!

Lovely location within walking distance of harbour and restaurants. Description could advise that they are on the 4th floor and lords of steps to climb. Not easy with a 4 year old and 10 month old baby as needed to keep pram in the car. 10 month old was crawling around on floor, floor dirty and dusty. Noticed especially dusty under the bed to the rear. Well stocked, everything you need to hand in kitchen. Towels lovely and fluffy and smelt amazing

good location and comfortable apartment The agency Host and Stay was very uncooperative, unhelpful and gave bad service. Very hard to contact anyone in charge. We had to leave early due to a medical emergency and the agency refused to give any refund at all.

Spacious and stylish flat in an excellent location. Good communication and useful guide provided by host. They could give more thought to storage of clothing (primary bedroom), bathroom items, places to hang towels etc. Lots of noise transfer from the unit above.

Google maps via the link they send takes you to the wrong street. no washing machine, dryer or coffee machine. Hot water ran out in the morning after 1 shower and mould in bathroom. Management company they use to reply to your messages are very very slow to respond.

Lovely little apartment close to the harbour. Street parking limited but there are a couple of car parks dotted around close to the apartment. So no need to worry about where to park. The apartment is nicely decorated and classy inside. Very clean. Everything is there that you need. Milk, tea & coffee is a nice touch when you arrive from a long drive. The beds were very comfortable too. The only thing that let it down for us was the charge for insurance. We only stayed for 1 night, checked in at 5:30pm checked out at 10am the following morning and had to pay £30 to have £500 accidental cover and then a £60 cleaning fee. These are very expensive add on’s for a 1 night stay. I understand it’s good to have cover but I think it should be a charge appropriate to the length of stay and the appropriate audience. We are a family of 2 adults with a baby.

Really impressed with the flat and how clean it was. Was a little unsure when we arrived as front garden and street door were very uncared for but once inside the flat it was perfect for what we wanted and had everything that we needed. Pint of milk and teabags was a nice touch. Access to WiFi. Everything as described and looked like the photos. some really lovely touches throughout. Flat is accessible by quite a few stairs but this was no problem. Would be difficult for someone with mobility issues. 2 bedrooms with double beds. My room was very comfortable and bed ideal for me and my daughter. My parents slept well in the other room. Great location, cannot fault it. We were able to walk to everywhere we wanted. once you got to know the alleyways it was even quicker. My only gripe was that people in the other flats could be noisy but we can't choose who holidays at the same time which is why we would not deduct stars. Thank you. Would recommend and would stay again.

The flat was very nice and in a great location, we did notice a couple of things with it though: 1. Bedroom door at the back doesn't close, not an issue for us but could be for others 2. The area was good as it was walking distance to Whitby town centre but could be quite noisy Aside from the accommodation issues above the other concern was the need to purchase damage protection insurance, this wasn't really flagged until after the stay had been booked (which is non-refundable unless you pay more). It is noted on the listing but buried away in the listing description, this should be flagged during the booking process to make it clearer for people wishing to book here. It seemed misleading, especially as this is done outside of Airbnb. All in all, a good flat to stay at but be pre-warned about the insurance requirement.

The flat although was small it was beautiful and decorated with gorgeous fixtures and fittings .

Great apartment with everything you need for a self catered stay. Really good location a 5 minute walk to the seafront (and then a little longer down to the beach) or 10 minutes down to the harbour and town. The Khyber has a lovely oyster and champagne bar which I’d recommend for seafood and watching the boats come in. The host was very responsive and helpful. Would definitely stay with them again

Really enjoyed staying at Little Acorns, beautiful little apartment, right near lots of shops and lovely little coffee shops. The apartment could do with some storage furniture as we lived out of suitcases for the week. It was clean and comfortable though and the area was really nice and quiet. We loved it as it was close to walk anywhere in central Whitby.

Great location few minutes walk to the beach and town shops, the flat had a well designed and modern feeling interior. Parking is a bit of a pain, you have Visitor parking permits but space is often hard to find close to the apartment. Typically had to park a few streets away which made unpacking and packing the car on arrival /exit difficult. Alot of the fixtures are looking tired and scratched, eg wash basin taps, kitchen door handles etc. The flat could do with a small refresh to ensure it appears as presented in the photos. Lack of coffee machine is noticeable, an expectation for me at this price point. Only one of the bedrooms has draws in to unpack your clothes into. Neither have a wardrobe for hanging, although a few coat hangers attached to hooks on the wall are provided.

Lovely place to stay in Whitby, only a short walk to the centre! Perfect for a weekend away!

We stayed in the Little Acorn apartment in Whitby. Warm, welcoming and spotlessly clean, this apartment was well-equipped and a great place for exploring Whitby. A lot of thought had obviously gone into the layout, decor and furnishings, which made for a very comfortable stay (especially the beds!). Situated in a quiet residential street it didn’t take much more than five minutes to walk down into Whitby (slightly longer if you couldn’t resist the wonderful Botham’s bakery on the way!) and to the many fascinating shops, cafés and restaurants around the centre of town – we enjoyed Trencher’s fish restaurant so much we visited twice during our short stay! The hosts left milk, tea and coffee for us, as well as a parking permit which meant we could park right outside the door, and communication with Charlie, Lynzi and the Host and Stay team was excellent – responses to any queries were almost instant. Thanks all for a great stay!

Location and parking Oven wasn’t clean, beds weren’t very comfortable and the noise when the water ran/ toilet flushed wasn’t the best in the evening with a toddler

Great value, lovely clean and comfortable stay. Great layout w bedrooms at opposite ends of the apartment. Nice outlook to the ocean when you lean out of the window.

Place was good, very close to centre of town. Didn’t have hot water for the entire stay which was unfortunate, and not something we could fix during our stay. Dealing with partner host not the owner, so some automated responses. Apart from that it was good.

Modern decor, comfy furnishings, well stocked with tea, coffee and a pint of milk. Parking inclusive (scratch cards for local parking zone). Really well situated for Whitby town and beaches. Floor of the apartment above is not sound insulated so you can hear literally everything happening up there

Apartment central location and next to stokers cafe which was brilliant. The place was modern and clean and warm. Would book here again but ask for the ground floor next time. Steps to the apartment were too much for me and my granddaughter struggles with walking however my fault for not asking for a ground floor apartment. Did I struggle with the shower unable to turn the hot water down

Fabulous apartment in prime location. Loved the small touches, tea, coffee, and milk .. Outside wasn't very inviting, needs a little tlc. The stairs and landings need a good clean, let's the accommodation down...

The apartment was lovely and very up to date with everything what you needed. I totally disagree with your booking policy and feel they were not upfront with the fees. We were asked to pay either a waiver fee for damage of £25 or a deposit of £250 for any damage. This was only asked for after we had paid for the room. I felt this was underhand and not advised at the booking stage. It was in the small print at the bottom of the page. And it was asked for outside Airbnb, which is advised against. So we had several conversations about this, with Airbnb and the host, which soured the booking process.

Location was realy good. The owners of the apartments need to do up the stairs and landing. When you open up the front door, it looks dirty .But when you go to the apartment it is very clean in side .

It's good to stay!

We had the loveliest stay at the Little Acorn. Everything in Whitby was within walking distance and coming home to this cozy little apartment was the perfect home away from home. We'll definitely try to book it again!

Lovely decor and great location. All in all very comfortable. All the facilities you could want and such a short walk to the town. With parking as well. Excellent The lack of wardrobes in the rooms would’ve been somewhat annoying if we’d being staying longer. It would’ve been nice to have 2 sets of keys as there are two rooms. There are a lot of stairs to reach the flat which was not a problem for us but May be for others who were less mobile.

The accomodation was very nice, as described. Easy enough to get to most places in town.

Beautiful apartment, spotless and very relaxing. Not quite as big as the photos. Close to the centre and beach.

Great place good location very homely and comfortable

Location was perfect and it was clean and all we needed for a two night stay.

Excellent location and the flat was furnished perfectly. Both minor points… The light at the top of the stairs doesn’t work which meant we had to use a torch to use the stairs after dark. Also, the teapot doesn’t pour well.

Lovely, modern apartment. Great, central location in Whitby. We had a couple of minor issues which were sorted quickly and efficiently. We heard a bit of noise from the boiler in the apartment above when they were using the shower/bath but I suppose that’s par for the course when staying in a flat! Overall a great stay.

Fabulous accommodation which had everything you could possibly need. Beds are very comfortable as are the sofa and chairs. Excellent standard of decoration. Very close to the centre of Whitby. Managed to get a parking space close to the apartment. One slight issue which was attended to very quickly, so no complaints there. Nothing.

Clean and comfortable, with lots of space, in an ideal location. We were able to explore to town or access the beach within minutes. It was a bit hot in the evenings due to the lack of air conditioning. The UK, like the rest of Europe, has had an exceptionally hot summer. However, this wasn't a big deal; we just opened our windows at night.

Loved our stay in Little Acorn. The host company sent several messages checking if everything was OK and left lots of tea, coffee and milk for us. Check in was very easy. The location of the flat was very central with very easy access into Whitby and the apartment was very tastefully decorated with a great kitchen and bathroom.

Accommodation was excellent exactly as advertised and location was superb. I'm disappointed though that the TV was broken and despite excellent communication with Host & Stay all we got was "they will advise owners". This didn't help us with no TV after long days (and still no update

Great location. Clean flat with all essentials available.

Great location, very clean and nice style. Most of the stuff you'll need is provided. Parking vouchers very appreciated. Found the main bedroom a bit too noisy from the above flat, and the hot water boiler that supplies both flats it's irritating. Front bedroom a bit inconvenient, didn't intend to use it.

Perfect place to stay for a short or long term get away, everything totally as described would definitely recommend.

Fantastic location. Lovely comfy beds. Great shower. Parking was difficult...Would have helped being told about the "scratch card" parking arrangement before we arrived. We had to park it in a carpark initially until a space became available on the first night. We didn't get back on the 2nd night until 8:30pm and drove around for 15 mins with no luck, so had to park it in the carpark overnight. Only 50p but not the most convenient.

What an excellent apartment, lovely modernisation in a beautiful building. The location couldn't have been better for seeing all the sights of Whitby. This was our 1st visit, but it won't be our last. Also, thanks for such a useful virtual manual for the apartment online, we followed your advice and had a cracking pizza at Pizza West!

Me and my partner have kept our selves safe from covid and stuck to the rules and not had a holiday. We decided it was about time we did so we booked the Little Acorn as it looked spotless and clean , we were due to arrive on Saturday 4th December until Tuesday 7th , unfortunately we both have tested positive today Friday 3rd December . I contacted host and stay , to inform them we was unable to attend due to government rules , I was told they could not do anything about and if I wanted , I could give our holiday to some one else . We weren't offered the opportunity of either a refund nor a change of dates. The Little Acorn has given us no choice of anything and simply kept full payment. Be cautious when booking

Great little flat in a perfect location in Whitby centre, Well decorated with modern equipment and very clean! The only negative was the noise from the water pump in the flat above. It ran whenever their toilet flushed or the shower was on and was very noticeable in the main bedroom. I would still recommend staying!

This apartment was in a great location, beautifully decorated, and perfect for a good night’s sleep due to the comfy beds and quiet road. We wouldn’t want to stay anywhere else if we return to Whitby.

Really great place in the perfect location. Clean and tidy, had everything we needed for our short stay. Great to have a fully functioning smart TV to keep the children entertained too. We would recommend this place to others and would happily stay here again on our next visit to Whitby. Only minor thing to note is if you have children or a pushchair as we had, it’s a lot of stairs to get up and down with something heavy. However as the place was so nice it made the heavy lifting worth our while.

It was a very enjoyable stay, although despite the parking scratch card,the availability of parking spaces was initially a nightmare but thankfully weekend one after about 35 mins. For those of us who have never seen that type of cooker, some instruction or manual would have been useful, and we never worked out how to use the grill. The apartment was clean and well laid out and we left it as we found it apart from we left the beds open and the towels we used in the bath. Thanks for a lovely stay.

A wonderful modern clean apartment in a great location for Whitby beach, harbour, shops and restaurants.

Beautiful apartment in the most perfect location for exploring Whitby. Two suggestions if you are travelling with kids - 1) The owners don’t provide a mattress for the travel cot so make sure you bring one if you’re travelling with a baby. 2) The blinds in the second bedroom don’t block out much light so if you’re staying there in summer, consider bringing a travel black out curtain.

Fantastic location, lots to do for small kids. Clean property, centrally located and decorated beautifully. My top tips if you have little ones it to take a black out blind for the second bedroom and be prepared to drive around for free parking spaces as you get free parking but spaces are limited. Would recommend this apartment.

Check in and check out was simple and convenient all of which made for a relaxing stay! Would highly recommend!

Easily one of the best kitted out Airbnbs we've ever stayed at, proper cooking facilities with plates and a good selection of glassware meant we could make a few cocktails before going out in the evening and could make a good breakfast in the morning. This sounds like a small thing but most Airbnbs don't even have a proper selection of cooking utensils. The flat itself is gorgeous and very modern, it feels high end and luxurious with a well kitted out modern kitchen and bathroom. The location is right in the heart of whitby, just around the corner from the famous whalebones. I'd happily book this place again and will consider it in future

The little acorn apartment was exactly as advertised. Beautifully furnished with plenty of glasses, plates, cutlery. It was a very comfortable apartment. Warm, with comfy beds, sofa and a lovely big rain shower. The location was fantastic and we easily got parked just along the road from the apartment. We would definitely recommend the little acorn apartment to anyone visiting Whitby.

Had a 3 night stay with our 2 boys. Newly refurbished to a really high standard. Gives a little style to a traditional seaside break. Great location near ‘whale bones’, great communication from Little Acorn from the point of booking. Fully kitted out if you want to cook or just not have to bring the kitchen sink! Perfect in present circumstances as completely contactless.

We loved staying here and were particularly impressed with the styling of the place. We’ve actually bought the octopus print as a result! It’s a beautiful flat with very comfortable beds, modern appliances and feels very welcoming. Location is excellent, close to the sea and a few mins walk from some fab bakeries (Bothams) and the wonderful Whitby Deli - perfect for picnic packing. Our 5 year old loved it too and didn’t want to leave, which is high praise indeed!

Little Acorn Apartment in Whitby is beautiful, I recently stayed there with my two children and it was the perfect accommodation and location for our short break in Whitby. The apartment is really clean and warm. There is an abundance of towels, products, welcome items, all making for a very welcome visit. The finish and furnishing is a really high quality and there are some really nice touches throughout the apartment. Location and access is great, however the apartment is up several flights of stairs, so if mobility is an issue, this is something to be aware of. All in all a great place to spend time exploring Whitby.
