Very central location and amazing views. Very clean, comfortable bed. Coffee machine was unfortunately broken, check in/check out times weren’t very generous and no flexibility in this unless you wanted to pay £30! I felt as though the property was very expensive for what it was.

Beautiful apartment with great views. Clean, tidy and generally well equipped. Nice and quiet. A near enough empty bottle of washing up liquid left. Nowhere to put clothes away apart from a few hangers. Entrance and staircase up to apartment absolutely filthy.

Location, view from the windows, size of the bed. The 65 steps to the 4th floor, but it was worth every step. Definitely felt fitter after doing them twice a day. Must be taken into account if you're not so fit.

Great Views of Whitby Our stay was spoiled by issues with the shower being broken and the lack of communication in putting it right resulting in no constant water for half of our stay!

Lots of space - great views from most windows Some of the fittings were a little worn like the coffee table , there were no toiletries provided (apart from a half used pouch of shower gel on the bathroom sink and there was a used and washed up cup and spoon left on the drainer when we arrived - possibly used by the cleaning staff?? Mis matched wine glasses. The main issue was the shower ….couldn’t adjust the temperature and the shower head wouldn’t stay in place Too much communication regarding check out time ….didn’t need as many text messages ? Communal area could’ve been cleaner Some of the above are just picky observations which did not detract from our stay which was really great! ? Top tip….add Beer O’Clock to your recommended places to visit for drinks (only two doors down from the accommodation

The apartment was a nice apartment however on arrival it was evident it had not be cleaned. Floors not hoovered and cleaned, crockery dirty, no dusting done, surfaces hadn't be cleaned and the bathroom had mould/body fat stains in it. We reported this instantly and the customer service was poor, we ended up going out to buy supplies to clean it ourselves. Was told cleaners would return the next day and they did not! We were away on our mini moon to celebrate getting married and this put a real dampener on our first day! A real shame as the apartment was actually quite nice and in a great location. But unfortunately the cleanliness let it down.

Location. And the size Had issues getting into the lock. Not helpful on the phone. Only 1 toilet roll for 3 days. It could have been cleaner. We was asked less than a week before for a non refundable £25 damage protection. We should have been told about this when we booked. And the table was damaged the carpets had stains & the bedding had holes init.

Good location for Central Whitby Difficult access with no parking, strong smell of damp when entering outer property door. No welcome pack offered, not even bottled water or biscuits.

Couldn't fault the apartment, really clean with great facilities and fantastic views. The fact that Booking .com stated we had 48hrs before stay commenced to cancel, yet the owners policy is to take full payment 7 days before and no refund after that date.There was an extra and hidden charge of £20 Insurance which we were not aware of for a 2 night stay for breakages which the owners insisted had to be paid before we got the keys. Basically no insurance, no holiday and no refund of the full amount of holiday which they had already taken.

Location is great. Very central to Whitby town centre, easy to get around on foot and plenty of places to visit in the surrounding area. The only downside I’d say about this property is the four flights of stairs up to the apartment with no access to a lift. The stairs themselves are quite steep. Not really an issue for us, but for someone who finds climbing stairs difficult for whatever reason, this might not be the best place to stay. Also, I wouldn’t say the standard of cleanliness was what I’d expect for the price. Dust on the door frames, bathroom shower glass was covered in water marks which to me indicates that it hasn’t been cleaned very thoroughly & dirt inside cutlery draw (not very hygienic when you use these to eat with) so we had to wash anything before using it.

It was airy, clean and well presented. The bed was comfortable and it is central to Whitby. The views are stunning and we had an extremely comfortable stay. Overall very happy and are looking to return. It has a kitchen however doesn’t provide some basics for example salt & pepper (which we had to buy) The clock also needed a battery.

We had mixed feelings about the stay we had. Positives:- 1. Modern spacious penthouse flat 2. Very comfortable bed 3. Views from the windows were outstanding Negatives:- 1. Bird faeces down the walls and dirty carpets 2. One wine glass 3. Toothpaste stains and hair in the bathroom 4. We were left two coffee pods for 2 people for a 2 night stay, in our opinion this wasn’t enough. In any event, the coffee pod machine did not work. 5. The kettle did not work meaning we had to boil water in a pan to make hot drinks during our stay. 6. The flat was very hot and could have benefited from air-con, though I appreciate it is a penthouse and open to being hot in summer time. I must say that despite it being a lovely apartment, we were promised a functioning kitchen and this had its faults and problems. Salt was rubbed in the wound after booking by asking for a security deposit to cover damages and then upon arriving items were dirty and broken. Expensive for the experience we had.

Location good. Bright apartment. Plenty of ventilation. The stairs were tight and to many, there was a exposed live fuse in the kitchen area, the kettle stopped working, loose main socket behind microwave, no wardrobe or cabinets, the whole place needs a make over, very tired looking needs a fresh.

Convenient and pleasant location close to everything. Excellent views from penthouse windows. Comfortable king size bed. Cleanliness level was not up to our standard. Needed a good deep clean overall. Shower taps in bathroom were loose and difficult to use.

Staying at this Airbnb near Whitby Beach was an absolute delight! The location couldn't be better - just a short stroll to the beach, allowing for picturesque sunset walks and morning beachcombing sessions. The accommodation itself was clean, cozy, and well-equipped, providing everything needed for a comfortable stay.

Lovely loft apartment also had all the amenities of an apartment. I had to pay a hidden charge a WEIVER DAMAGE of £25 which wasn't a problem if this had been stated on the page when we booked. Also the number of stairs to get to the property.

View, location, shower, clean towels and bedding Paid £145 for one night, then after purchasing I had to pay them an extra £25!! For damage insurance, not optional! If I’d had known this I wouldn’t have bought, I thought 145 was expensive enough as it was. The place was not clean in my eyes, stains all over the carpet and worktop, hob and various other surfaces dusty, marks all over the walls and ceiling? It needed repainting, sofa and bed was not comfy, sofa lumpy, mattress ok but the pillows were terrible, there’s a sign telling you to empty the bin, pulled out the black bag and the bin inside was disgusting

Lovely modern flat, location of flat close to the centre of Whitby, although access was down a bit of a dodgy alleyway, Fabulous view out of the bedroom window. Kitchen equipped with all the facilities required for a long weekend away Smelt like wet dog and damp at the bottom of the entrance staircase. Narrow stairs to get upto the flat on the 4th floor. (not a bad thing for us, but some people may struggle with them)

Had an amazing staycation at this spacious and well-equipped place in Whitby! The breathtaking view from the bedroom and its proximity to main attractions made it the perfect choice. Highly recommend for a delightful stay in Whitby! Fantastic experience overall! Just a heads up for those on the 4th floor – no lift, so be ready for a bit of a workout with your luggage. Other than that, everything was amazing!

Amazing Location. Beautiful property. The cleanliness unfortunately let the place down. It hadn’t been hoovered properly (crumbs everywhere) some stains on the bed sheets. And the pots in the cupboard hadn’t been washed before being put away which meant when I took the plates out for example I got grease / oil whatever it was all over me. Would have expected better. That being said, when I complained to Host and Stay, they sent someone out straight away to change the sheets, they asked if I’d like a full clean but as we only had one night left and I had already re-washed all the pots I didn’t see the point in a full re-clean. Also some of the cups, bowls and things are chipped, there’s a loose plug socket. I think it just needs a refresh. Final niggle, be wary about parking. I emailed ahead to ask about parking vouchers as I’d seen these on a previous trip advisor review and was told no they don’t do these anymore. So on arrival off I went and paid £9 to park, to then find vouchers left for us which could have been used instead.

The views nice apartment modern fittings , great location and security of the property. Stairs to property 4 flights of winding stairs being told to move apartments with 2 hrs notice.? Both penthouse apartment 3/4 have loose toilet seats nowhere to hang clothes or put your smalls in apartment 4 could do with blackout blinds in apartment 3/4 as it affects your ability to watch the TV. Although apartment 4 needs a ariel as u cannot watch the TV due to lack of signal, Apartment 3 has a damp issue round the window all small details but they add up also if your elderly the shower over the bath in apartment 4 would be a struggle as there is no hand rail .

Really nice apartment with beautiful views only problem was the parking, which we where lucky to get 2 streets away (the closest) and no lift so alot of stairs 4 flights to climb to apartment with cases etc.. would still recommend and would go back

The views When we arrived there was an alarm sounding in the communal hallway, directly in front of our apartment, after contacting the customer service team on six different occasions over six hours someone eventually came to fix the fault, though this was past midnight. The stairway and alleyway access is filthy, there was so much bird muck! The entire apartment was dusty and there was litter in the kitchen cupboards, all utensils and crockery needed to be cleaned before use and there was dirty trays in the oven with food still on them. The bathroom smells like cat wee and there was lots of hair in the unit under the sink. Absolutely no clothes storage other than a coat hook. I was receiving multiple daily emails from “the customer service team” but whenever I tried to contact them I was passed from pillar to post with no positive outcome.

Although we had a great stay, there is some room for improvement. First of all, the entrance / outside to the property is very heavily covered in bird faeces, even on the lock box which is used to retrieve keys.The carpets in the property were quite stained, this isn’t a massive issue but first impressions count. The Penthhouse its self is decorated and furnished beautifully and appeared clean. However, there were makeup stains on the bedding and again the carpets were a little stained. The kitchen area was very well equit, even had a coffee machine, washing machine and dishwasher! Which we thought was great. The main issue I have is with the deposits/ waver. I feel £250 is very expensive and to add insult to injury, a £10 administration fee. I think when paying that much for a deposit, you should be getting every penny back. Nothing is stated in handbook or information given on Airbnb on why this £10 is required. Great stay overall but I feel some improvement is required.

Gorgeous property and location! Views are amazing and the windows looking out are just perfect. Property was spotless. Steps up to the property are a lot but perfectly manageable and we knew about it so it was fine but maybe an issue for people with limited mobility. No hand soap in the bathroom and no clothes/sponges to wash up/wipe down the sides but only really minor things and otherwise it was perfect!

Absolutely everything, the kitchen is fantastic with a dishwasher and washing machine. Tv with apps just amazing. Can’t wait to go back There’s not one thing I didn’t like.

BEWARE OF EXTRA COST After we had booked the Penthouse we were surprised to find that Host & Stay require all guests to transfer a £250.00 Damage Deposit (subject to a £10.00 non-refundable administration charge) or, to purchase an Accidental Damage Waiver for £25.00 (non-refundable) which covers you for up to £500.00 of accidental damage during your stay. This is at the end of the listing details, but we feel that it should be more obvious in the main listing. After your stay it takes Host & Stay 7 days to notify you that your £250.00 Damage Deposit will be refunded and then up to a further 5 days to clear in your bank. A long time to wait for YOUR money. We wanted to cancel but we would have lost our £85 bonus for being Airbnb Super Hosts. The Penthouse itself is fine except for the filthy windows which spoil the 4th floor views. However the entrance area is down a dark alleyway and covered in bird muck. We had to remove our shoes so as not to mess up the stair carpet.

Location was fab and views were stunning There was no storage for clothes apart from a couple of coat pegs. There is plenty of room for a chest of drawers or something similar.

The location and the comfy bed Upon arrival we were met with a pile of sick and lots of bird poo outside the front door. Not a great start. The hallway was filthy and had not seen a hoover for a while. The penthouse was lovely with great views however the cleanliness was very disappointing. Carpets filthy and the bathroom floor had not been cleaned. Also the carpets had not been hoovered. To top it all 2 fingernails were left on the sofa.

Very disappointed The front entrance door was in an alley that was full of pigeon Pooh and some one had been sick just outside the door. I know the vomit was not the hosts fault however they could have checked and cleaned the area, given that we didn’t check in until 4 in the afternoon and the vomit was obviously from the night before. The actual penthouse was really good well designed with great views and nice furnishings and in a great location. However the entrance hall carpets and the staircase up to the penthouse were filthy. They hadn’t seen a vacuum for a long time, the same was true for the penthouse the carpets were stained and dirty as was the bathroom floor area. The sofa in the main room had human nail clippings on top of it. Over all a very dissatisfied customer because of a lack of basic cleanliness. Won’t be returning.

Lovely place to stay with beautiful rooftop views over Whitby.

The apartment is nicely designed and very comfortable, the bed was extremely comfortable. The location is great, only a minute from the harbour. Parking was easy to find and only minutes from the apartment. My only complaint would be that check-in is at 4pm and check-out is at 10am. Seeing that most shops close at 5pm and cafe's open at 9am that not leaving much time to settle and have a look around on arrival day, then not enough time to go for breakfast before having to check out. This didn't stop us having a great stay though, I would still recommend the apartment.

Stayed here for 3 nights. The accommodation was lovely. comfortable and well maintained little extras like milk, tea and coffee made the first hours easy to settle in. Very well equipped kitchen, nice bathroom and bedroom. Only a few small problems, nearly 70 steps to get to the apartment. You are told this so was a bit of a laugh climing them. The cleaning team need to improve. Not saying the place was dirty as it wasn't, but the bedside table was dusty, along with the bedroom window. Also there was a old bag or bathroom rubbish in a bag under the sink and tissue on the floor into the bathroom. They just need to check round once they clean. Easy fix I would think. Would definitely stay there again.

We had a great stay in the penthouse flat. Great central location and lovely flat. Parking voucher worked but usual problem of finding a space. Only negative is the initial impression when entering the stair well it was must and the carpet was not clean. Which is the totola opposite to the flat which was very clean and well presented.

Location perfect with easy access to harbour and front and also to West Cliff. Great views from both sides of the propery. Very clean and comfortable and well appointed. Could have provided more than 2 sachets of coffee for 4 days. Stairs a real issue for someone 75 years of age with a bad back. I was aware it was on the fourth floor but perhaps wasn't fully prepared. The fact that there were 67 stairs brings it home more readily than that it is on the fourth floor.

Excellent location with views over Whitby

Really disappointed with where we stayed. Not clean and loads of things broken. Hardly anything provided. 2 plates, 2 bowls. No hand soap. Washing machine but no laundry detergent. Dishwasher needed rinse aid and salt. We had to clean the plates ourselves before use and the table had the last occupants dinner stains still on it. Tv wouldn’t tune in. Dirty windows. Dusty apartment in general. Windows look like they’ve never been cleaned. Table damaged. Clock broken Towels were ripped and tatty. No oven glove provided. Many more things not right with the flat. Absolutely zero pride taken by Host and Stay. Crazy expensive for the state of the place. Supposed to be a lux apartment but it was dreadful. Not even clean. They charge an expensive damage waiver and cleaning fee which is clearly just a money making scheme when you stay in an apartment with broken items and is dirty upon arrival. Poor communication with company point blank refused to refund cleaning fee.

Central location , well appointed and comfortable, good views from the bedroom picture window. This is purely a self inflicted gripe, At 73 the 4 flights of steps which we knew about in advance proved to be a little difficult. The only other concern was the lack of a fire escape, just one staircase which would act as a chimney could mean being trapped without much chance of escape in the event of a fire, this is the main reason why I would not stay at this property again .

Our first stay was amazing. We were lucky enough to be able to check in early and leave our bags behind to explore the beach which was a short walk with beautiful sights. We had a gorgeous view from the kitchen windows and the kitchen itself was modern and had all the cooking equipment we needed. There are many lovely restaurants and and cafes in the area. Everything is walking distance including the abbey and the art museum. Even though it was raining for some of our stay, we could enjoy our time inside the beautiful apartment watching the waves from the kitchen window or watching shows on the Tv. We will definitely be back next year!

Great location with beautiful views. Walkable to all areas of Whitby and the surrounding areas. Really comfortable stay although was no welcome package like at most airbnb stays. Would highly recommend and would stay again but would take initial provisions.

Very nice penthouse, very clean and lovely view. Everything you need for a long or short break. The only downside is the stairs, 4 flights, and if you're not very fit, it could be a problem. The apartments are situated on top of the hill, so it's a double hit on the legs and knees. If you're fit, it's a lovely apartment and a fantastic view from the bedroom.

Brilliant facilities would definitely recommend

The penthouse apartment was simply perfect. Everywhere was spotlessly clean and incredibly spacious. The location was perfect to explore Whitby and gave us incredible views of the harbour and the boats. We would highly recommend this beautiful apartment. The free parking permit was a great addition too. Honestly we could not fault it . Even the climb up the stairs was worth it .

We had an amazing couple of days, the apartment well beautiful and had the best views over Whitby, including a sea/harbour view and also the Abbey. Very comfortable and had everything we needed for the weekend.

The location of this Airbnb was perfect for getting out and about around Whitby. There are shops close by and lots of food options. The airbnb was nice and spacious and the views were incredible.

Most things, the layout, good quality furniture, comfortable bed, bedroom & bathroom. Terrific views from the windows. 70 stairs to the apartment, not enough cutlery, plates, cups, drinking glasses. Only enough for two people therefore you have to manually wash dishes for each meal. Just make more available - it's a no brainer. There wasn't a wardrobe or any drawers therefore it doesn't really suit a couple staying more than a couple of days.

Very happy with the location and ease of access. The apartment was perfect, and we were very grateful that we were accommodated at short notice.

apartment is excellent value for money, great layout, all the mod cons if you need them, full kitchen, iron, washer. Keys were easy to collect, it was quiet, brilliant location. Super all round I wasn't a fan of the 4 flights of stairs to get to the apartment, but i DID know this before i set off.

The property was an ideal location and very cosy, we enjoyed our stay. It’s on the 4th floor which isn’t your fault, but my husband has a bad knee so going up the stairs was a lot for us. Another thing which wasn’t your fault on Wednesday night there was a couple sleeping on the 3rd floor, who were having a very loud argument and heard things been thrown about. These aren’t complaints because we did enjoy our stay and loved the apartment, I would recommend to family and friends.

I enjoyed everything about my stay here it was clean and comfortable and close to all amenities and attractions. Would highly recommend to others.

Location was perfect. Very central. With stunning views. Parking was abit of a nightmare but understandable with it being central Whitby. I think the standards of the cleaning could of been abit better. The trim for the shower screen was green with algae in the middle of it. Would be as simple as taking it off and scrubbing it. Toilet brush was snapped into three pieces when I took the lid off. Windows could of done with a clean as they were covered in bird droppings. Also with it being bank holiday there was no shops open to get milk for tea or coffee. Expected some little UHT sachets at least but couldn't even have a cup of tea as no milk or no shops open near. The property it's self was very modern and the views were fantastic but for over £220 for one night with no sachets of milk for a cup of tea or coffee and the cleaning could be improved. Apart from them few things it was nice.

The apartment was lovely. When we booked it didn't advise that there was 70+ stairs to climb and parking was not at the location.

I've stayed with Host and Stay before and this time was a bit of a let down. The property was very unclean when we arrived and pretty off putting. Credit to Host and Stay for responding when we got in touch and they did send out another cleaner but even they didnt seem to hoover the property or deal with dirty surfaces. Ultimately we had some money refunded which was fair but for a short stay, the state of the property really took the shine off things. Bit of a shame as its a great location.

the view the stairs that were not mentioned, the lack of cleanliness, it was all very different from the ‘newly refurbished’ pictures, no storage, out of all the windows only 2 opened, had to admire the view thru filthy windows covered in bird shit, lack of cutlery and crockery (seem to think because it’s for 2 people then there should be just 2 of things) old things left in cupboard from previous tenants including an empty coffee jar!!, stains on carpet and sofa, you could see where the cleaner had just wiped where there was marks on the coffee table, apparently it’s luxury but struggle to see the luxury!

The location is fantastic! After climbing 3 flights of stairs the views are definitely worth it. The room / dining room is very spacious and very easy to settle into. lack of storage for clothes - meaning any nice clothes one has will more than likely have to stay in your bag.

the kitchen was well equipped and the bed extremely comfortable the coffee table was wobbly, the overflow on the bath was broken. there was a thick layer of dust on the bedside tables and lots of cracks in the plaster. I definitely expected better from a luxury apartment.

cleanliness - marks on the walls, marks on the carpet, cracked cereal bowls, needs blackout blinds. only two mugs was a shock - not enough crockery. Cleaning was very haphazard. Smears on the worktops, smears on the microwave, smears on the cooker front - very off putting. Awful entry, bird poo on the lockbox - needs a net to stop this. inside the dirt on the carpets was terrible. Sheets need to be better quality - they were cheap.

Everything….location and the apartment was amazing The amount of stairs wouldn’t be suitable for some , however bring on the top floor allowed for superb views and privacy!

The penthouse is a lovely place to stay and a great base in the heart of Whitby. Very clean and tidy and felt settled in right away. The view from the bedroom window is stunning and really enjoyed exploring Whitby and sampling all the area has to offer.

Stunning apartment, it’s on the top floor so there’s quite a few stairs (about 67) but the stunning views are definitely worth the effort. Very clean and tidy, huge bed! Apartment is perfectly located for exploring Whitby. A bit tricky to find as it’s tucked away off the Main street, but we didn’t struggle too much - we will definitely be coming back

Great property, ideal location in the centre of Whitby with parking close by. lovely double aspect apartment overlooking station on one side and sea views/abbey on other. Well appointed kitchen with nice size TV and large bed. Very comfortable. Only one negative, no wardrobe storage space. Other than that, faultless!

Excellent location, fabulous views and very comfortable. Restricted parking spaces, had to wait an hour to get into the apartment whilst staff were locating the keys.

the location is fantastic and the views also There is nowhere at all to hang clothes , living out of our suitcases wasn’t good . I wouldn’t of wanted to stay here any longer because of this reason . A wardrobe definitely needs putting into the property there is definitely room for one in the bedroom.

Lovely place to stay, lovely view, LOTS of steps up so be prepared. Added fees make it expensive when only staying the 1 night like we did but probably worth it if staying for a week or so etc. would go back and would happily recommend for longer stays

The view. That's it. Where to start? The heating wasn't working from the moment we arrived to the moment we left. We had our short break ruined every single day by constant texts regarding engineers and chasing up parking permits because they never checked days stayed to how many permits we actually needed. No clarification on if the check-in day counted as one day of permit use either. Parking was terrible and I would definitely not recommend it. The outside of the property is covered in bird feces. The stairs we were prepared for having read other reviews and I would advise older couples or those with physical issues to avoid staying here if you dare to begin with. Stairs narrow for suitcases. With the heating, the first engineer came around after our first night of taking showers to keep warm and couldn't fix the problem - they had to come back to leave two heaters in the apartment, and the second engineer we initially were going to leave keys for, then decided against it and ended up refusing entry since it was the last day of our 'holiday' and we didn't want a stranger hanging around our belongings while we were out trying to enjoy ourselves - all for the sake of one night of heating. Like we were going to wait in for an engineer to fix heating in our own time when they should have checked it before we arrived! They then had the gaul to tell us we'd get a call out charge since we refused the engineer entry, when they didn't even give us a time when they'd be there!! Appalling. Good luck if you're staying here. I can't describe the stress Host and Stay have caused me - constant phone calls and texts and emails when I'm meant to have a short break away. I've logged a formal complaint. I will be chasing this to the ends of the earth for a full refund. The sad thing is the actual apartment was lovely with a nice view. But the Physical and Mental toll this 'holiday' has had on me and my partner was far from worth it.

Excellent accommodation, met expectations, clean & modern apartment in a very convenient location. Just take note of the stairs to access the apartment ( the penthouse situation provided fabulous views and made the climbing of the stairs worth it!) The parking permit was very helpful.

It has to be said, this flat is beautiful with some amazing views of the city and the sea. Yes It is 4th floor up with stairs only but it is totally do- able and when there, this beautiful place and view makes you forget it. The bed is very comfy, the sofa long which is so good and rare when you are tall, so loved it. The kitchen has all you need. And overall the flat was spotless. Being very central it is perfect for any activities, taking a bus or train or walking around the town. I had a problem with the WiFi but it has to be said that the people of the agency where great at keeping in touch and informed. Very much appreciated. I would totally come back to this beautiful flat for my next time. I am still not over that amazing view!

exceptional standard , stunning views absolutely lovely nothing. only little criticism was there was no tea towel or oven cloth to remove items from the oven. which was dangerous . outside door needs regular cleaning as door handle was often covered in bird muck. which for luxury stay you wouldn’t expect

Smart open plan accomodation, kitchen/diner/lounge, bathroom and bedroom with large double bed and feature window with great view. Very close to centre but no noise problem - apart from gulls! Lack of clothing storage facility. Several flights of stairs to climb - but it is a penthouse!

Recently modernised so the facilities were good. 4 flights of stairs! Shower was difficult to operate i.e. it was difficult to turn on and off.

Five flights of stairs to the apartment! But the view made up for it. Parking was a nightmare we got a parking ticket due to no parking to allow you to take your cases up to the apartment. We then had to get a scratchcard which the host provided to allow you to park only for certain parking zones. It took us about an hour before we found a parking space. We didnt use the car the whole time we were there.

Central location, only a short walk to restaurants, shops and bars. Double aspect views were nice. TV reception was bad although we didn’t use it much anyway..3 coat hooks & no hangers meant living out of our suitcase! It being the Penthouse I should have been prepared for the 67 stairs! Carrying luggage etc. wasn’t fun! (I hadn’t checked if there was a lift before booking) there was a damp smell at ground level it could have been from the drain right outside the front door though.

The quality of the apartment was first class. Nothing was done cheaply. It was very stylish and comfortable. A small issue with the shower was rectified within hours. Most impressed. Contact with letting agent easy and they were courteous and very prompt in resolving the small issue. Outstanding really. The whole apartment felt light and bright The music from a local pub at the weekend was excessive and intrusive, however, during the weekdays there was no problem at all.

location when found- was perfect . Loved the coffee shops surrounding. AMAZING BAKERY ROUND CORNER! WOULD RECOMEND THE 2 HR NATURE CRUISE TO SEE WILDLIFE SEALS/BIRDS/DOLPHINS ETC. RUN NEWLY BY A FISHERMAN AND HIS WIFE, ONLY STARTED IN 2022. WELL WORTH THE MONEY! I spent nearly all the time outside on the back enjoying the speed and the sea! while my husband checked out the wild life ! www.yorkshirecoastboattrips.co.uk WILL DO AGAIN NEXT TIME ! a)Didn't like the 3 sets of addresses - very confusing! You could have Just could have said : ENTRANCE is to side of "WITNESS" SHOP on the MAIN high street where there is NO PARKING - and you must remember to re locate your car to parking AREA W !! We had to pay parking while we ran round the area looking for the yard to entry. We then found it over 1/2 hr later.. parked our car on the front and got a parking ticket!! b)I'm sure I did not read about there being 67 steps to climb to get to your room... something that was worth it in the end but as someone who has a bad knee - I had to buy a knee brace to help me cope, along with pain killers!

The location. We liked the large bed. We hated the stairs and dreaded going back its A wonder we didn't have a heart attack. It spoilt our stay. There was no hanging space for our clothes and no hangers which are standard requirements. The toilet brush is disgusting and let's the bathroom down, it wants binning today. The stairs were filthy and needed hoovering and there was different smells each time we came in ranging from drains to mould never pleasant.

Loved the location, was in the heart of Whitby. The style and layout of the property was beautiful. Clean and warm with plenty of natural light and very peaceful. The amount of bird (seagull) poo on the front door, could do with a canopy to protect it.

Beautiful open plan loft apartment. Nicely furnished with a stunning picture window from the bedroom. Some lovely views of the Abbey (if you open the Veluxs). Thoroughly recommend the Penthouse. Just one world of warning- as the name suggests, It’s at the top, there are 67 steps to reach the door (yes, 67)!! Add those to the 199 up to the Abbey and you have a true workout!

Location good really comfy and very clean Nice size bed and comfy The stairs....wow do that a few times a day...and who needs the gym. Parking a pain at first till we got used to how it works and the zones

This apartment made a special weekend away even more wonderful. The cleanliness was faultless! The location was perfect and, even though it was in the middle of town, it felt miles away from everyone due to being high up. Perfect! Not to mention the views, the 60 odd steps up to the apartment were worth it just to see Whitby from above. I would highly recommend this place and will consider staying again in future.

There should be a health warning on the amount of stairs (67) up to the penthouse. This was never mentioned in the apartment description. There was absolutely no hanging space or hangers provided The parking was an issue and not properly explained. The parking system is complicated and resulted in us getting a ticket whilst we loaded the car before checkout. The apartment was however very well equipped and very comfortable. We enjoyed the stay

The Penthouse is a beautiful place, modern, clean, and amazing views! Due to work commitments we could only stay the one night but we will definitely bear this property in mind for the future. The location is ideal for exploring the town and everything is within walking distance.

Stayed for 3 nights. Lovely apartment that felt very modern, but beware of head height if you're tall! Also it's up 4 flights of stairs which could be quite tiring after a long day out. Wonderful stay overall and hosts kept me informed. Would stay again.

The flat is lovely looking and the views are great. Be warned the stairs up to the flat are a lot! Don’t bother with the parking tickets and just park in the St Hildas car park. Would recommend as they fixed the issue we had really quickly!

Excellent location in the heart of Whitby. Perfect for exploring Whitby and surrounding locations. Stunning views for miles! Penthouse is ideal for a short stay as long as you don’t mind walking up the 64 steps to get there! Would happily return for a stay again.

This is lovely penthouse in the centre of Whitby. The place is very clean, comfortable and spacious. There are great hiking trails that start from the town to local areas. Thank you for a lovely stay :-)

Great place to crash out in the centre of Whitby. The location is ideal - we didn't bother with the parking tickets provided as we arrived early and just parked the car in a close by 24 hour car park (cost us just under £10 for the day and didn't have to faff about). From the apartment you are able to walk anywhere in Whitby. The apartment is very clean and all the mod cons are available. We booked to stay for one night as was visiting other parts of Yorkshire and needed a place to get our heads down. Great views across both sides of Whitby and the Velux windows allow you to pop your head out among the rooftops. Don't forget that the apartment is on the 4th floor so you need good legs to make it up to the top (it is worth it!). The host (a management company by the looks of it) communicated well with us and we felt looked after. I would recommend this place. Thanks for letting us stay!

A wonderful place to stay, lovely flat, excellent view, and brilliant location

Lovely stay in prime location. Not a moments walk from lovely shops and eatting venues. The penthouse apartment was very clean and stylish. We particularly liked the views of the town from the large bedroom window and view out of the living area skylight.

This is an amazing apartment with a great view. It is recently decorated and immaculately presented. Bed was incredibly comfortable and whole experience was similar to a hotel than an Airbnb. Great location for exploring Whitby. The apartment was spotlessly clean and I have no doubt it was "Covid Secure". Really great stay, thanks. One minor issue was sorted next day which is great service.

The Penthouse is an absolutely wonderful apartment located in the heart of Whitby. The apartment is finished to a very high standard and is a modern and sophisticated setting in the middle of the quaintness of Whitby. Whilst the 4 flights of stairs can feel like a workout, you are awarded by the views. We found ourselves constantly standing at the open window looking out at the Sea and up to the 199 steps. There are basic amenities including tea, coffee and sugar and cleaning products, even with some travel toiletries kindly provided in the bathroom. The bed was very comfortable and the bath and shower were wonderful with very good water pressure. There is a dishwasher and also a combination washer/tumble dryer. We had no issue with parking but we did stay in October, during the COVID pandemic and our car was parked a 5 minute walk from the apartment. We would recommend this apartment to anyone and would definitely stay there again.

Great apartment, clean, modern and spacious. Great views of Whitby through bedroom window and living/kitchen skylights. Stocked with everything you need in the kitchenette including tea coffee sugar milk, extra toilet&kitchen roll, cleaning stuff, everything you would need. Good location, easy walk to bars, restaurants, shops. Plenty of areas where you could park with the provided permit for free. As it is on the 4th floor there is quite a few windy stairs to go up to reach your apartment but these are worth it for the views. Would 100% stay here again and reccomend to friends&family.

Great place, amazing views, perfect location

This is a very stylish comfortable apartment. We loved the central location in Whitby although when we visited the parking voucher spaces were all full, mid August so not surprised really. It was not an issue as we did find a car park nearby at a reasonable cost. The penthouse is on the 4th floor so you need to be fit enough to manage the stairs. The payoff for this are the amazing views from the bedroom & also the living room. The apartment is very clean & all facilities very well thought out.

Great space to be for a couple of days. Great views from the front and back of the penthouse especially as the sun rose above the Abbey ruins. Very close to the harbour. Rusty Shears a great place for breakfast and the French bistro Mademoiselles also lovely.

Lovely stay in The Penthouse! Spectacular views and beautiful decor! A fab, modern and spacious stay. Gutted to have to leave! Perfect location with everything in walking distance. Some great cafes in the street below! Only negative was parking being difficult. Plenty of big £10 per 24 hour car parks a 10-20 min walk away, but couldn’t find any spaces within designated zones in the 3 days we were there.

Lovely place, right in the centre. If you’re looking for parking, head straight to a public car park as there isn’t much available to use the parking permit with.

High end feel, lovely interior design. Comfy bed. Quiet atmosphere with good views. Good location to explore Whitby and going on walks. Would recommend it.
