Our Favourite Places to Eat & Drink in Harrogate

Tuesday 16th August, 2022 by hs-admin

Harrogate is the quintessential old English town with a flare of Moroccan and Turkish influence ready to spice up your dining pallet.

From slap up great British pub classics to something on the wild side, come explore all the best Harrogate has to offer in the dining department.

Here are some of our delicious favourites:

Farmhouse

This place is no pigsty! Situated close to the main train station in Harrogate, the owner Jordan has worked as a chef within the restaurant industry for 14 years and by the quality of the food, you can tell!

Food-wise, there really is something for everyone. If you love hearty burgers and crispy chicken tenders, this is the place for you. Feeling healthy? There’s an array of salad bowls and vegan options to keep you coming back.

Make sure to book early if you want a seat at this hotspot, as many agree with us, that this place is a real winner. Balancing your classic pub favourites with a sprinkle of international fusion, we can not recommend this place enough.

Dine-in and marvell at the chiefs plating up your delicious dinner through the peep holes of the kitchen. If you prefer to tuck-in whilst relaxing in the comfort of your own place, the Farmhouse has got you covered. They now deliver straight to your door! Check them out on Deliveroo for a late night bite!

Catch Seafood Harrogate

Don’t worry, you won’t have to swim for your dinner!

Instead, lounge back with Champagne and Oysters in this cosy dining experience. This is not just your standard fish and chips, think more, lobster and frites.

The restaurant is complete with contemporary style decor and neon signs galore!

This is a seafood experience like nonother and we think it’s the perfect place to cast your net out and catch a great date night.

You can grab a gourmet jumbo sausage and your classic fish and chippie staples here, just remember that this is a more fine dining than hiding your chips from sea-galls!

The Wild Plum

Fancy a sweet treat? Breakfast is the most important meal of the day, so whether you are an early riser or wanting a lazy brunch, The Wild Plum is the place to be.

Serving fluffy pancakes till 3pm, yes, you heard that right! We agree with them and think that pancakes should be served until the afternoon!

Located inside the Snooty Frox, a fabulous ladies occasion wear shop, this place is a real hidden find! Their chef, Bethany Haresign, was crowned Chef of the Year at the Harrogate Hospitality and Tourism Awards 2019, so you know your morning meal is in safe hands.

Vivido Bar & Restaurant

What is better than an authentic, family run, Italian restaurant? Nothing! The restaurant is kitted out in modern decor, which feels like a refreshing take on the classic pizzarias we are used to.

Priding themselves on using fresh local produce in their dishes, you will not only get the taste of Italy but also get to experience the best produce the region has to offer.

Great food and great for the family. Vivido does not just offer the basic cheese pizza for your tiny tots, instead they offer a kids menu where your little ones can tailor their pizza toppings to whatever they want!

Konak Meze Turkish Restaurant

Want to experience authentic Turkish cuisine? This gem offers a true slice of Turkey, which won’t break the bank!

Located just a 2 minute walk from the Harrogate Theatre, it is a perfect spot for lunch or quick bite to eat before a show.

Expect to find a vibrant menu with traditionally cooked meals. Go outside your comfort zone and dive into the delicious seafood or their mouthwatering grills! We recommend sharing a few bits to get the most out of your experience.
