The Host & Stay Rewards Program (“The Program”) allows Members to earn promotional coupon credits (“Travel Credits”) toward future bookings by referring friends to become new users on Host & Stay.
To participate, Members must agree to these terms, which become part of the Host & Stay Terms of Service. Capitalized terms that are not defined here will have the same meaning given to them in the Host & Stay Terms of Service.
How to Earn Referral Travel Credits
Members can earn Travel Credits if: (i) a referred friend clicks on their referral link to create a valid Host & Stay account that complies with our Terms of Service; and (ii) the referred friend completes a Qualifying Reservation (as defined below). The referring Member cannot earn Travel Credits for any reservation which they are the owner.
The referring Member will be credited with the Travel Credit amount(s) specified for each type of reservation in the referral invitation or accompanying promotional materials after the completion of the referred friend’s Qualifying Reservation. If the referred friend completes a Qualifying Reservation by booking and completing a stay, the referring Member will receive the Travel Credit amount specified for the Qualifying Reservation, if any.
The maximum Travel Credit that can be earned per Member will be £5,000 USD total in respect of Qualifying Reservations made by referred friends, unless indicated otherwise in the referral invitation or accompanying promotional materials.
Qualifying Reservations
A Qualifying Reservation must have the minimum total value (excluding guest fees or taxes) of £160.00 or as otherwise indicated in the referral invitation, accompanying promotional materials, Host & Stay website, or Host & Stay mobile application for that type of reservation. Note that this total value may change based on currency fluctuations. The Qualifying Reservation must be booked and paid for via the Host & Stay platform, and the referred friend must complete the stay before the referring Member can receive Travel Credits. A reservation will not be considered a Qualifying Reservation, and therefore no Travel Credits will be earned, if the referring Member is the owner or if the reservation is cancelled at any time.
Redeeming Travel Credits
Travel Credits may only be redeemed via the Host & Stay Platform. Once earned, Travel Credits will appear as Travel Credit on the referring Member’s checkout page, but you may need to enter a code at checkout to redeem the credit. Travel Credits must be used within one year from the date they are issued, after which they will expire. Travel Credits are coupons issued for promotional purposes; they have no cash value and may not be transferred or exchanged for cash. Travel Credits may not be applied to a reservation of 28 nights or more.
Travel Credits may not be earned by creating multiple Host & Stay Rewards Accounts. Travel Credits accrued in separate Host & Stay Rewards accounts may not be combined into one Host & Stay Rewards account.
If for any reason you believe that there is a discrepancy regarding your balance of Travel Credits, please contact us. Host & Stay may require you to submit additional information in order to make a determination regarding your balance. All decisions regarding your balance will be final and at Host & Stay’s sole discretion.
You are responsible for any Tax consequences, if any, that may result from your redemption or use of Travel Credits. Where applicable, Host & Stay may be required to account for VAT on any services for which the Travel Credits are redeemed.
Sharing Referral Links
Referrals should only be used for personal and non-commercial purposes. Referral links should not be published or distributed on commercial websites (such as coupon websites, Reddit, or Wikipedia) or on blogs. Members are prohibited from “spamming” anyone with referral invitations. This includes mass emailing, texting or messaging people you do not know or using automated systems or bots through any channel to distribute your referral link. Members are prohibited from paying to advertise their referral links.
Referred Friends
Referred friends who have signed up using a valid referral link will also receive credit in the form of a coupon or coupons in the amount(s) indicated in the referral invitation or accompanying promotional materials that can be used on their next Qualifying Reservation on Host & Stay. Coupon codes that are not automatically applied must be entered during checkout. Coupon codes may not be transferred to another person, exchanged for cash, or combined with other Host & Stay referral programs or incentives. Each coupon code may only be used on a hostandstay.co.uk domain in conjunction with the booking of a single eligible Host & Stay reservation that meets the minimum total value (excluding guest fees or taxes) of £160.00 or as otherwise indicated in the referral invitation, accompanying promotional materials, Host & Stay website, or Host & Stay mobile application for that type of reservation.
Coupon codes expire one year from when you sign up for an Host & Stay account. Offer available while seats last. Host & Stay reserves the right to any remedy, including cancellation of your account or reservations, if fraud, tampering, violations of these terms or Host & Stay’s Terms of Service or Payments Terms of Service, or technical errors are suspected. Void where prohibited. If your reservation later qualifies for a refund, the maximum refund you may receive is the amount you actually paid.
Multiple Referrals
A referred friend may only use one referral link. If a referred friend receives referral links from multiple Members, only the Member associated with the referral link actually used by the referred friend will receive Travel Credit.
The Program may not be combined with other Host & Stay referral programs or incentives.
Severability
If any provision in these terms are held to be invalid, void, or unenforceable, such provision (or the part of it that is making it invalid, void or unenforceable) will be struck and not affect the validity of and enforceability of the remaining provisions.
Termination and Changes
Host & Stay may suspend or terminate the Program or a user’s ability to participate in it at any time for any reason.
We reserve the right to suspend accounts or remove Travel Credits if we notice any activity that we believe is abusive, fraudulent, or in violation of the Host & Stay Terms of Service or Payments Terms of Service. We reserve the right to review and investigate all referral activities and to suspend accounts or modify referrals in our sole discretion as deemed fair and appropriate.
The scope, variety, and type of services and products that you may obtain by redeeming Travel Credits can change at any time.
Updates to the Terms
We can update these terms at any time without prior notice. If we modify these terms, we will post the modification on the hostandstay.co.uk website, applications, or services, which are effective upon posting. Continued participation in the Program after any modification shall constitute consent to such modification.
